“Will you get me the black book with gold lettering? It’s the second from the left on the top shelf.” Will almost always lost his excited and theatrical demeanor when he was working on a potion. It was always a very jarring change if you weren’t used to it.
Rykah watched him for a few moments, then went to get the book. Handing it to Will he grinned, "So what are you trying to brew?"
“Defense potion.” Will said, shortly.
"What kind of defense?"
“Incapacitates people for a while.”
"Nice!" said Rykah, "But what would you use it for?"
“People being jerks. Over-bearing family friends. You know.” Will said, taking a second to look over at Rykah and wink.
"Nice!" he grinned even more "Would it work on bullies?"
“Works on everybody. But…if I brew it wrong, it does a bit more than incapacitate. It’s a really advanced potion.”
"What else could it do?" asked Rykah
“The original potion is to severely injure. I’m tweaking it so it just incapacitates somebody, hit if I add too much of something, I could hurt them… or worse.”
"Ouch." said Firiko as he watched Will put something else in…
“Yeah…” Will carefully added ingredients until the potion looked almost identical to water. Although it shimmered unnaturally. “Now we just let it sit.”
"Alright," said Rykah as he stepped away. "Hey can you use any Aura magic?"
(Aura being a magical power similar to the wand magic the wizards in Harry Potter use but minus the wand.)

“Er…. no. My thing is potions. The rest of my family can though.”
"Cool" said Rykah, playing with a ball of black aura.
Will knelt down and started digging through a cardboard box of potions. “No… no…. ooo, I need to take that one home…. no… no… there we go!” Will said, finally, pulling out a bottle of silver liquid.
"What is it?" asked Rykah letting his aura vanish
“Truth potion. I’m pretty sure Jack took something of mine, but he won’t tell the truth about it.”
"Oh" said Rykah, "y'know you could've just asked me"
Will looked at Rykah(I almost typed Firiko instead) quizically.

Rykah summoned a golden ball of aura, "I can use this to force someone to speak truth…" he said watching it carefully
“That-that’s amazing… I guess I don’t need this then.”
"Eh, Bring it along anyway" said Rykah, "Insurance"
Will nodded, standing up and turning to the brewing potion. He stirred it, and filled an empty bottle with it. "Time to test it out."
"On what?"
"Myself." Will said, digging in the box again, pulling out a bottle of purple liquid. "Let's go home."
"What are you thinking?" asked Rykah, "You could get hurt!"
"This is the antidote." Will said, waving the purple bottle. "And how else am I supposed to test it. I do it all the time anyway." Will smiled his contagious smile.
"You're crazy" said Rykah
