“I want to try,” Katya said quietly looking to Cyrus with determined eyes.

Cyrus nodded.
"Vida?"
Vida shook her head. "I'll just watch for now…"
Cyrus walked over to the wall and picked up a few wooden swords for Katya to choose from. He selected his own, of about the same length, so he could maybe teach her by demonstration on the training dummies, or if she wanted, by doing a more relaxed sparring session.

Katya grabbed one of the medium length blades. It was a little heavy for her, but she wouldn’t say anything. She looked to cyrus asking what next.

Cyrus demonstrated some sword swings on one of the dummies, explaining the moves as he went. He then asked if she wanted to try and stepped back.

(Umm Esmea was a brat annnnnd I think that might be it.)

Katya nodded and stepped up to the dummy. She copied Cyrus’s movements with shocking accuracy even though they weren’t perfect yet.

Cyrus' mouth fell open.
"That's… that's very good already! I'll give you a few little pointers to do it better, but you're off to an excellent start."
He showed her again and helped her position her feet just right.
Vida cheered on Katya from the back of the room.

Katya gave Vida a little smile. She was focused on what Cyrus was telling her though. She wanted to get this right.

Sparrow walked into the room where Cyrus was "hey Cy, can I talk to you?" She asked

Nathan peeked out from behind the doorway. Smiling when he saw his frie ds he ran inside "hi!"

"Yeah… Kat, you can keep practicing. I'll be back with you in a moment!"
He walked to the edge of the room with Sparrow. "What's up?"

"I was thinking that I should make the kids small "tools"" she said, doing air quotes, "to make them feel safe here."

"Yeah, sure. Whatever would help them. Katya seems to be enjoying swordplay over here… I think they're fine… Don't seem violent at all. Perhaps just eager to learn how to defend themselves."
He tilted his head.
"What did you have in mind? I'm sure whatever it is, it's great."

"I was thinking of making small concealable weapons. So I would make a small cuff and it would be able to unwind into a thin blade, or a necklace that doubles as a bow, a pair of gloves with metal claws that can retract." She said, throwing out some of her ideas

"Yeah, that all sounds brilliant," Cyrus confirmed, smiling, "We just have to make sure they know how and when to use them, is all."

"You can teach them." She smiled. "We need to talk to them first to see what kind of things they like."

"I'll try… If nothing else, they seem to sort of like me. Especially Vida… Not completely sure why," Cyrus said, "But yeah, I think talking to them would also help them feel at home. We're adults… we're kind of scary right now still."

"Does this girl ever stop walking?" Uriah was starting to get tired, but it seemed like she could walk on forever. He also felt bad that Luna was staying with him. "You know you don't have to stay with me right?"

Luna nodded, she pulled her hood back slightly, “I-I know.” She couldn’t really explain why she stayed with him. It just felt wrong to leave him alone.

"Hm, well thanks for keeping me company." He looked down at her and frowned a bit. "You know, you're very beautiful, it's a shame you cover yourself with your hood." He wasn't going to force her to take it off, it it would be nice to see her face sometimes.

Luna's face slowly became tinged with red. She glanced around and saw no one so she pulled her hood back all the way, "I-It's because I have social anxiety. S-sort of like a mental shield, e-except it's physical."

"That's understandable and if you feel that way around me you can pull you're hood up. I didn't mean to pressure you into doing it." He made sure to keep an eye on Esmea out of the corner of his eyes, but most his focus was on Luna.

"N-no it's fine!" Luna had her eyes on Esmea, but her attention slowed turned towards Uriah, "I-I feel fine around you guys. I-It's when I'm with strangers o-or I'm uncomfortable I-I put it up."

"Well, at least you're not uncomfortable." He smiled then turned to Esmea, for some reason he couldn't look at Luna. "Hey, so I was thinking of talking to Cy to have a party. It's my birthday in a few days and I think a party will help us all calm down a little. What do you think?" He tried to change the topic, so he wouldn't feel so awkward.

"Th-that sounds like a great idea," Luna had a bit of a smile on. She looked towards Esmea,"H-how old are you going to be?"

"Twenty, I know I'm getting old." He laughed.
As Esmea was walking she listened to their conversations. The more they talked the more she got annoyed, but Esmea always did like parties, it was the only time when she didn't have to be an assassin.

Luna snickered slightly, "Y-yeah. Y-you might be the oldest one here."

"Actually I think Cy is the oldest by a year or so."
Esmea turned around and looked at the both of them. "W-What kind of party will this be?" Her cooled attitude going down a bit when she asked. Uriah smiled, "What kind of parties do you like?"

Luna saw Esmea turn around and she immediately flipped her hood up over her head. She stayed quiet as the two talked, seems like the brat had calmed down slightly.
