Haven walked into the gas station. “Morning.”

Vaughn’s eyes opened at the voice and he sat up, resting his feet flat on the floor. “Morning, Miss Haven,” he responded, running a hand through his hair. He had known Haven for a short time. She knew a bit about him, the most important being his condition. He hand’t told her about the situation with his father, though his story had been on the news once or twice, so he wouldn’t have been suprised that she had heard about it.
“How you doing?” She asked, sitting down.
“I’m alright, thank you,” Vaughn responded in his usual level, emotionless tone. “And you?”
He reached over, turning down the volume to the radio when the music was replaced by a news reporter talking. He glanced at his own hands. They had been covered in blood earlier, and he washed them the best he could. He was sure that his clothes and hair held the stench of death. He had tried to shower to get it off, but the shower in the back room wasn’t the best.
“I’m fine, More or less,” she shrugged. “What’s on the news?”
Vaughn shook his head quickly. “Nothing important,” he lied. He knew exactly what would be on the news. Serial killer Vaughn Finley murders again! but he didn’t consider himself a murderer. He saw himself to be a hero. Those mothers reached out to him for his services, and he couldn’t comprehend why what he did was bad, almost like an innocent and confused child.
She blinked at the rapid response. “Um, okay…? I’m going to go raid the store in Hemlin, want anything?”
"Ok! Let's go then!" Bella smiled, turning to walk across the street.
Vaughn shrugged his shoulders loosely. “Oh, um, no not really,” he murmured. He wanted to come along, but he thought he should lay low for a short time.

"Ok! Let's go then!" Bella smiled, turning to walk across the street.
"Let's." Jackie set off after Bella. "Don't know about you two but I'm starving."

"Me too!" Bella smiled. "That president is pretty intense. I need a lot of food after him." She laughed.
Jackie chuckled. "Unfortunately, don't think that's the last we'll be seeing of him."
"of course not." Arabella agreed, still giggling.

"Thanks!" Arabella said, walking through the door and choosing a table.
Ricky walked up to them and said, "Hi, I'm Ricky! Call me Ree. Anything I can get you?"
"Hi! What would you say was your personal favorite meal on the menu?" Bella asked, looking at the menu.
"Oh, I would say the fish and chips!"
"hmm… I don't know.. I don't eat fish… Maybe I'll just take a burger and onion rings if you don't mind. How about you guys?" She asked.
"Burger…. and.,.. onion rings….." Ree said slowly, as she wrote the womans order down.

"Ooh, can I get a sprite too, please?" Bella asked.
