Vaughn put his hand on her shoulder to steady her. He dragged a small table over for them to lay the cards out on.

“What game do you want to play?” She asked as she took out the jokers.

“If I’m being completely honest here, I have never touched a deck of cards in my life,” Vaughn said, rubbing the back of his neck.

“Great, I can teach someone and maybe actually win for once,” she laughed. “I used to play with my family, before… stuff.”

Vaughn nodded in agreement. He would always play board games with his little sister and his mother when he was younger. It was almost like a tradition. When Dad would go out drinking, they would stay home and play games. He leaned his elbows against his knees, leaning foreword.

“So, the funnest two player-game I know is Speed.”

So listen, just heard three extras (Rebels) were taken care of (Killed) and they had stuff (Secret info) for V (Vaughn) sorry about hard to read (Sorry it's coded) but the regulars (Govt.) may be hearing music (Secret info). “It’s a game of well, speed. Each player has five cards in their hand and a deck next to them. There are two cards in the middle. You have to try and match the cards up or down, like if the middle card was a 7, you could place a six or an eight. Keep going until you’re out of cards, and the person with no cards wins. If no one can place a card, we take one from each of these piles,” she said, putting five on both the sides of the two middle cards. “And plsce them down. Got it?”

(Sorry I was just slightly confused because I thought we said that Ricky knew Haven, and they would be introduced to each other. I wanted to do that with at least one or two people because Vaughn is agoraphobic, he’s not going to have many people that he knows.)

Vaughn nodded slowly. It had been a lot of information, but he would be fine. He knew that either way, Haven would be better than him.

“Here are your cards,” she said, handing him a stack. “Take five.”

Vaughn picked up five cards, looking at the few. “Am I not supposed to show them?” He asked.

“Nope. It’s a race to get rid of them first,” she said, picking up her own cards. “I’lol walk you through a game.” She flipped the cards in the middle over. “See, an ace and a five. I have a two, so I can put it down on the ace and I have a four, which I can put on the five.”

Ricky texted Haven ~Hey, girl, wassup? You okay?~

Haven picked up her phone. ~Hey, Ricky. Just bedridden for now. Playing cards with a friend. You?~
