Elide giggled and followed her sister, “Yay! Can I have golden syrup on mine?”

"Of course!" Kiera replied. "I'll have some peanut butter and syrup with mine."

Elide scrunched up her nose, “Ew, peanut butter is gross.”

Kiera laughed. "For you maybe." She answered as they reached the kitchen. "Do you wanna help?" She asked as she started rummaging through the cabinets for the ingredients.

Elide nodded eagerly, “Yes! Yes yes yes please.” She hurried around to join her sister on the right side of the kitchen counter.

Kiera laughed at her sister's enthusiasm. "Okay, the recipe says 1 egg, 1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour, 3 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 of sugar, 3 tablespoons of butter, and 1 1/4 cups of milk. Can you help me find all the ingredients?" She asked, pulling out a big bowl, a wooden spoon, and the measuring utensils.

“That’s a lot,” Elide whispered but she nodded and went to the fridge to grab the eggs. She skipped back over and placed them on the counter before walking over to the cupboard to grab the flour.
