He is investigating it! Zane clapped his hands together. Wait I'm eavesdropping this is rude, maybe I should stop. He looked at his drawing. It seemed boring compared to finding out what happened to the sun, so he very inconspicuously watched the two people through his bangs.
She shook her head. "Sorry, but the professor refuses to talk about it. I know about as much as anyone." She admitted, frowning. "Sorry about that. I'd kill to know what is happening though." She said, turning to look out the window. Really, though, what was stopping her from trying to find out herself, if her professor said nothing? "I'd be willing to help though, if you need it." She offered.
After jumping at the loud sound of someone clapping, Jonah nodded. "That would be great. I'm starting to think they assigned me this case as a joke, just to see how far I'd go with it." I'm not sure how much a young college student could help, but I'm willing to try anything after two months of nothing.
"Great." Raven said, smiling. "I might have some scrap paper if you want my number, or my e-mail, or whatever." She said, digging through the messenger bag on the floor next to her.
Jonah took his phone out of his pocket. "Actually, I can just enter your number right now." As soon as he turned on his phone, he noticed a text from his boss. Shoot, this is from an hour ago. She's going to be so mad at me… He tapped on the text and began reading the message to himself. Professor Diggins, one of the university's astrology professors, has agreed to speak with you about the sun going out. He was able to squeeze an hour into his schedule for you to speak with him. Get to it. Jonah shook his head. I feel like the library might have something better, but the professor could know something as well…
When Zane saw the man jump he immediately felt bad. "Sorry about that!" He called out. He tried to contain his curiosity, but he had already said something to the guy, so he put his pencil behind his ear and walked up to him. "I apologize for eavesdropping, but you're investigating how the sun kinda popped out of existence for a bit a while ago?"
"Uh…yes we were…talking about that." Jonah replied quietly, glancing at his phone nervously. His boss was usually right when it came to speaking with people about cases, but Jonah felt like he had done enough socializing for today. Professor or library. Professor or library…
"It's fucking weird. Breaks all known laws of science." She said offhandedly, turning back to her computer. "I mean, matter can't be created or destroyed, energy can't be destroyed, that's not even astrology. That's physics. And even if it did explode-which it wasn't due to do for another few billion years- we would know. We would be dead. Unless that happened and we're in some weird after life where we don't know we're dead, but I doubt that."
Jonah showed his phone to the two strangers. "Well my boss, who is technically supposed to be working this case, said we could go speak to one of the professors and she's almost always right." He paused, then pointed to the girl he had just met. "However, you said that the professors weren't helping so….maybe we could figure something out at the library? What do you guys think?" Jonah had just accepted the two of them as part of the group now.
(This is the first major decision in the rp! These decisions will lead to important clues and items, and eventually lead to a certain ending depending on what we chose as a group.)
"Well, he might say more to a detective than the class. Maybe you can talk to him and we'll check the library? I have a book to return anyway." She said, looking up. "Also, I'm there often enough that the librarian likes me. She can help us." She smiled, tapping her pen against her chin absently.
"So…to Professor Diggins I guess. Any idea where his class is?" Jonah asked, looking around. He barely knew anything about the nearby college campus.
"Main building, room 201." She said, closing her laptop and stowing it away.
"Yeah…I still don't know what that means…" Jonah admitted, shoving his phone in his pocket. "I guess you're leading."
She shrugged, putting the rest of the books away. "Okay then." She said, going to throw out the empty cups.
(I have to go for now, sorry. We'll continue later!)
Zane smiled wide. "Pleasure to meet you two, I'm Zane!" He placed his sketchbook into his bag and slung it over his shoulder and finished off his coffee. He pulled his cardigan higher on his shoulders. "I suppose this lovely lady and I will be heading towards the library, then?"

"Yes, I will. Name's Raven, by the way." She said, grabbing her bag. "Ready to go?" Ha! I'm doing something useful! Take that mom! She grinned, bouncing on her heels excitably.
"Yep! I like your name! I knew a girl named Raven in middle school, she was the president of the anime club. She had blue and green hair. It looked cool," he rambled. "So you're an astrology major?"
"Yep!" She said, smiling proudly. "It pisses off my mom too, which makes it even better." She laughed slightly.
"Being an astrology major pisses off your mom?" Jonah asked, tilting his head slightly. "You would think a parent would be proud of their child going into such an extraordinary field."
"Yeah but… It's not useful! And you are a young lady!" She said, raising her voice into a sarcastic falsetto of her mother. "She's a bit… traditional and capitalist."
(How should I plop Ricky into this?)
(over hear the conversation and get interested?)
Ricky was walking around and overheard someone talking about Space and astrology. She walked over to the two people and waved "hey, I heard Astrology? I'm Ricky." She smiled
Jonah was starting to get overwhelmed with the amount of people he was meeting so quickly. He blanked out for a few seconds before responding. "Ricky……yes I am….Jonah. Yes, my name is Jonah…"
"Nice to meet you. Now what was this about Astrology? I absolutely adore space." She said
"My major pisses off my mom and we're going to figure out what happened to the sun." She said, smiling.
"I was curious as to what happened to it. Mind if I join you?" Ricky asked, her eyes filled with hope
