Heyo!
Heyo!
👋
It was a cloudy day, the scent of rain in the air as our adventurers begin their travels. Where are they going? You may ask. They are on a special mission from the king, a mission even his head guards were to afraid to go on. Our adventures should probably be afraid too, but to be honest, they're really stupid.
Lynn walked merrily along, humming upbeat songs. She should probably be scared out of her wits, but who could be frightened while singing Rodgers & Hammerstein songs? She was tempted to burst out into The step-sister's Lament, but knew the music probably wouldn't be welcome among her party.
Ava glanced over at Lynn who was pelting her heart out into a song. Shouldn't she be scared? She sure was. She shouldn't be doing this. She was just a kid! She should be studying. At least she would of been if her master was still alive. She shook her head. No. She wouldn't think of that. She told herself to not think of it.
Garreth sighed and rubbed his temples with clawed hands. I'm doing this for the money. For the money. Keep it together. He resisted reaching out and punching the bard to stop the constant noise. Instead he settled for a low, unpleasant and intimidating growl.
"Nice growl. The timing was a bit of, though," Lynn joked, laughing. She stopped humming though, a little intimidated.
Hunter strode easily through the forest, where she usually guarded the castle. Princess Serene was off on her horseriding lessons, which Hunter wanted to join so badly, but she was busy with being a dame. A sound from her far left caught her attention, and she drew her sword reflexively.
"Whoa. Jeez, you scared me. Nice sword, though," Lynn said, taken aback by the girl who had dashed at them, sword ready.
"Thanks. Hey, are you from this kingdom?" Hunter withdrew her sword, only a little.
Ava moved behind Lynn. Ava hoped the girl with the sword wouldn't hurt anyone here. She wasn't used to this adventuring stuff yet so she was kinda a…coward.
Hunter reconsidered. The girls were obviously pretty innocent. She put her sword back in her sheath and held out her hand. "Sorry about that. I'm Hunter."
Garreth let out a reassuring huff as he moved a scaley hand to rest on Ava's shoulder. "It's okay. This lady doesn't seem very hostile." He turned his gaze towards Hunter. "Sup… uh, Hunter was it? Nice to meetcha. I'm Garreth Winterspear," he introduced himself. Obviously he was the odd one of the group, being the only male and a dragonborn to boot.
Ava looked at Garreth and nodded. She trusted Garreth the most out of the group. He seemed so experienced and always tried to calm her down when she started to freak out. She slowly stepped out from behind Lynn, clutching her staff.
"Nice to meet you, Garreth." Hunter tried not to stare at his horns. It felt rude. "Are you three lost? Most people try to avoid these parts of the forest."
Just as they were speaking, a rustling could be heard in the brush. A gaint whisper was heard from around the forest, almost as if there were spirits there. "Why are you in oir forest?" the whispers asked, overlaping with each other.
Hunter shuddered. Did the forest just speak? Shivers ran down her spine, even though she was wearing her metal suit of armor.
