Zol stood at the ready, glancing around quickly.

"It's a Hunter's arrow," she said her voice low, as she held it gingerly.

"And these hunters are…"

"Dangerous" she said a hint of fear in her eyes, "Very dangerous, especially since they hunt Wolves…."

Zol's eyes narrowed. "Not while under my protection."

"I'm not worried about me!" said frost, "This arrow is old, but fresh enough to be within a moon… Which happens to explain the anomalies in those tracks we found earlier!"

Zol frowned. "How?"

"There must have been an attack earlier this moon." she said "And depending on how many Hunters there were the owners of those tracks were probably still badly injured"

"Is there a way to follow?" asked Zol.

"I could probably track them.." said Frost. "But the Wolves in this region will probably be extremely wary at the moment.

"Your call." Zol said. "Shall we follow, or continue on our way?"

"I think we should investigate…" said Frost confidently. "Just let me find the trail again." She began back tracking a little til she found it then she shifted and began following it.

"Then come." said Zol. "Let us see what we may do."

Citra followed Zol and Frost carefully, eyes never staying still. She kept her left hand loose by her side, a small like of blackflame ready should there be an attack. The shadows of the forest whispered to her. The dark magic flowing through her veins making it impossible to drown them out. "Something terrible happened here." she whispered.

Zol let a light blossom on the top of his staff. "Then we shall be ready."

Piper summoned a flow of water, keeping it low at her side. Her nose wrinkled in distaste as how light it was; when she was while, it was as dark as the waters she used to roam in. She followed behind Frost, careful to keep a watchful eye out for any danger. There was a bad vibe coming from these woods, and Piper did not like it one bit.

Frost suddenly paused, her ears perked as she studied the trees ahead. "Stay behind me guys, and don't show any sign of hostility" she said softly, shifting and stepping into the clearing. "Come out!" she called into the trees, "I know you're there!"

Zol stood just behind her and shielded the others.

Piper strengthened the water, and lengthened it so it made a ring around the group. Anything that would potentially charge at them, Piper would force back using the water. She could feel the slight tingle as the starfish on her arm lit up, a sign she was using her powers.

Frost watched a ragged bowsman stepped out of the trees. He had an arrow nocked, but his face clearly showed pain, and he was leaning heavily on the tree. "Who are you…. and what… do you want?" he chocked out, his voice cracked and acting as a further indication of his physical pain.
"We are allies" said Frost softly. not wanting to alarm the brown haired man..

Piper’s head snapped to Frost. How could she be sure he wouldn’t hurt them? Or trick them and call out his army any second? “Are you sure, Frost?” she asked, hands ready to push him back at any moment.

"Quiet Piper." said Zol. "I can defend us. No need to make him angry."

"I'm sure" said Frost,
"How. - how should I know?" asked the man,
"Wolf's honor" said frost. "I promise no one in my group, including myself, will harm you or your allies." she said.

Piper glared at Zol. She was just making sure the group was safe, and she was told to be quiet? Fine. Apparently my water isn’t is good as the light, now is it? Nevertheless, she brought the water back to her side, leaving the group open.

"Zol leave her alone, She was just trying to help, and there is no need to protect anyone" said Frost,
"I accept your promise," said the man promptly letting his knees buckle as he fell to the ground. \
Frost quickly hurried over, but when she came close she immediately saw what was wrong. Crouching next to him she beckoned to the others. "Piper Can you do a healing spell?!"

Citra was frowning. She did not like this one bit. The shadows hiding in the trees started to whisper louder. She wanted to cover her hears. "Danger!" She whispered fiercely to Piper and Zol. Citra waved a hand before them, replacing Pipers water with her blackflame, glancing worriedly at Piper. "We must leave."

"I apologize." Zol whispered to Piper, "I am truly sorry. But the way of peace and openness is always the best. And we cannot risk any danger. My power is not as good as I thought it might be." he said bitterly. "I cannot allow you to be hurt on my watch again."

"The one's who attacked him are not far, Frost." Citra said, coming to kneel next to the girl. "We need to move him some place safe."
