Alyssa nods. "Hop in." She ordered. "Ace. Sit in the back. You need to get off that side." She let's them in before revving the engine and speeding towards the hospital.
Alyssa nods. "Hop in." She ordered. "Ace. Sit in the back. You need to get off that side." She let's them in before revving the engine and speeding towards the hospital.
"Oh God Rebecca what were you thinking? This was such a stupid decision." She was kind of thinking out loud.
Ace sat in the back, filled with fear. When they hit a bump he yelled in pain but bit it down. He had to be strong for Becca.
"You know better Becs, you knew this was a bad idea but you went through with it anyway." She knew better than to talk about this sort of thing outside the house and especially to a boy.
Alyssa glances back at Ace. His side was dripping blood profusely. She swears loudly before hitting the gas harder.
"But most importantly, how could you fall for a gang leader, they're nothing but trouble." She muttered under her breath.
(Me attempting to revive this because I love it too much to let it die)
(Oof. I love this too. I was taking a break from Notebook. And then I came back. I guess I forgot to reply)
Ace groans lowly, shutting his eyes. "Dammit Ace." She presses onto the gas, breaking the speed limit. A cop pulled them over, and Alyssa cracked. She got out and explained what was going on, fire evident. The cop comes to make sure to verify before she escorted them to the hospital.
(No no, it's alright! I'm glad you're back!)
It took a lot of self restraint for Kelsie to not just burst through the doors, knowing her sister was in there and maybe dying. The hospital smelled strongly of death and disinfectant, making her cringe. The last time she'd been in the hospital, her mother almost died so to say she had a bad relationship with hospitals was an understatement.
Ace was crowded by medicals but he shook his head, pushing them away, but they got him, and dragged him away, Ace yelled and cried out, not wanting to be taken away from Becca. Alyssa places a hand on Kelsie's shoulder. "Let's go see your sister." She says gently.
She smiled a little. "Yeah, let's go." She took a deep breath to calm herself and followed one of the doctors that was working with Becca. She pushed open the door and gasped. Her sister was connected to a dozen different machines looking like a puppet that had gotten its strings tangled. "She hasn't woken up since surgery but you're welcome to stay with her." The doctor smiled sadly at her and left. "Oh Rebecca…" Kelsie whispered, sitting next to her sister, blinking back tears.
Alyssa's eyes widen at the state of Becca. Poor Ace would be heartbroken if he saw this. She squeezes Kelsie's shoulder gently. "Here. Settle down." She gently guides Kelsie to a chair and helps her sit down.
"Shouldn't you be with your brother? I'm sure he could use some support right now. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine." She smiled a little, taking her sister's cold, pale hand.
Alyssa nods. "I'll go back and forth." She smiles gently before hurrying off. When she makes it to Ace's room, doctors were bustling around. "His wound is infected. We had to knock him out. But he'll be okay." The doctor explains. She nods, settling down beside Ace.
"Becca, I don't know if you can hear me but you have to come back. I miss you and I'm worried. Ace is worried too. Possibly more than me, if that's even possible." She chuckled. Then there was a twitch. A small twitch of her sister's fingers curling around her own. "Wait…she's waking up! Doctor! She's awake!"
Ace's expression was far from relaxed as the doctors worked to help him. She glances at her brother in concern and worry. Ace groans softly, yelling out when his wound is starting to get cleaned.
Her eyes fluttered open. "Kelsie? What happened? Where am I?" "Shhh, it's alright sis. You're in the hospital after you passed out from blood loss. You went through surgery." "Where's Ace?" "He's being taken care of." "Is he okay?" "I don't know."
Ace screams again and Alyssa leaps forward, pinning him down. "Almost there." The doctors says. She nods, hushing her brother quickly. "Ace. I know you can hear me. Breathe. For God's sake, breathe." She orders. Ace seemed to somewhat relax in his sleep, crying out from time to time. She finally let's him go when they're done cleaning and restitching his wound.
"Listen, stay still and don't talk, I'll find Alyssa and see how Ace is doing." She smiled a little before disappearing down the hall after seeing which room was Ace's. "Hey Alyssa, how's he doing?"
Alyssa looks up. "He's better. His wound got infected so they had to clean it out." She sighs softly and runs a hand through her hair.
"Well, at least he's okay. Becca woke up, she's really worried about him. I told her I'd come see how he was doing."
Alyssa nods. "He'll be okay." She places a hand on Kelsie's. "Why don't you go take care of your sister." She says gently.
"Kelsie?" The voice made her jump. "Mom! What are you doing here?" The woman stood in the doorway looked almost exactly like Kelsie, only older with gray streaks in her hair. "I heard my daughter was in the hospital, I had to come see if she was okay. Where's your sister?" "Down the hall." "And who is this?" "Oh, this is Alyssa, the older sister of Becca's boyfriend."
(Poke)
I never got the notice! I'm so sorry!//
(Hey it's fine! You're here now!)
Alyssa smiles at the woman. "Hello, miss." She offered her hand to shake. Ace groaned softly, his head shifting before his eyes slowly flutter open. "Ow…" He looks up at his sister. Then the other two women. "Where's Rebecca!? Is she okay?!"
Her mother shook Alyssa's hand and offered a smile. Kelsie took to Ace. "Ace, relax, she's fine. She's awake and worried sick about you. I told her I'd come to see if you were alright."
Ace falls into his bed, yelping slightly at the sharp pain in his side. He glares at the wound before looking up. "So she's okay? The surgery worked?" He asks gently, his eyes wide.
