"I couldn't care less." Mikhail muttered quietly. He didn't want to do talk to anyone right now and just wanted the people staring at him to leave.

Alex slid off the rock, and approached the stranger.

Mikhail didn't notice him and kept staring at the ground, blaming himself for being here and for everything. You idiot, you could have just stayed home like you do everyday but you just HAD to do it today.

Alex touched Mikhail with his bare foot.

Mikhail squeaked and jumped in surprise as he scrambled away. "What do you want?"

"To know your name," Alex replied curtly. He crossed his freckled arms.

"What's so important about my name?" Mikhail asked, still staying far away from the other.

"Because," he answered simply. He opened his wings, flew a handful of meters away and sat on the grass. "Where did you come from?"

"Ummm, {Random place}," Mikhail answered, seeming just a bit more open now. "Why did you ask?"

He scratched the bend of his wing. "Curiosity,"

Mikhail rolled his eyes, a small laugh escaping his lips. "Of course. What about you? Where are you from?"

He curled a lip in brief consideration. "I don't remember,"

"Why not? Shouldn't you remember where you were born?" Mikhail asked, tilting his head slightly to the right in confusion.

He scratched his ear, "I mean. I know I wasn't born here. It was so long ago, though." Alex admitted.

"Oh okay then." Mikhail replied.

He rest his wings down, watching him closely. It's been a long time since he had someone in the enclosure with him.

Mikhail sighed as he rested his back against the wall, pulling his knees up to his chest. Idiot, idiot, idiot, idiot, he's going to do something to you when the place is closed and no one is watching.

Alex pulled at some grass, "You'll be fine." He spoke. "All they do is leave you in here to your own devices. Sometimes you get a check up or something. That's it. Fed three times a day,"

"Do they have any cameras in here?" Mikhail asked quietly, not looking up at the man.

He sighed quietly, "Only in the halls. Not in here." He spoke, looking sideways. "They only did once, when they brought a girl here. Cameras were everywhere, in my nest room too," he gestured to a pile of artificial rocks with a shaded entrance.

Mikhail chuckled. "Was she really that pretty?" And now he's literally going to murder you in your sleep, way to go, Mikhail.

Alex laughed quietly. "I actually hated her. We fought constantly. She almost killed me once, so.. the caretakers sent her someplace else."

"Why did you both fight so much?" Mikhail asked.

"Well, she was so damn stubborn, and so am I, and we fought over everything from the time of day to the funniest looking human on the other side of the glass. And I don't like to lose, so.." he half laughed with a bit of a smirk.

"Heads up, I can be very competitive at times." Mikhail warned with the hint of a small smile on his face.

He rubbed his freckled arm, "Hah, well… i'm not the most agreeable person in the whole world," he held his mild smirk.

"Guess we're not going to get along great either." Mikhail fiddled with his fingers for no reason.

Alex sat up a little straighter. "Well, that's my nest room," he spoke, "I don't know where you're going to sleep," he spoke with a territorial tone.

Mikhail rolled his eyes. "I don't know, where will I sleep?"

"Somewhere other than my nest room," the short teenager stood up, stretching out his boldly black wings. In the sun, they looked glossy and healthy.
