Citra leaned forward and peered into his face. "Are you alright?" she asked softly.
Citra leaned forward and peered into his face. "Are you alright?" she asked softly.
Frost incinerated the non-edible bits and began putting the edible parts on sticks shed found in the forest, rigging it up with some string so they would roast evenly.
Zol glanced at Citra a little dazedly. “I believe so. Such a thing has never happened before. Though, I have never yet wrought such works as I did this day.”
Frost listened to their conversation as she concentrated on dealing with their meal.
Citra hummed looking away in the direction of the battle, remembering, "It was quite the show. I did not know light could be such a formidable element." She looked back at him then, color staining the high points of her cheeks, "You saved my life." she said softly
Zol looked grave for a moment. “It would have only been folly to do otherwise. And the honor goes also to another. Perhaps without Piper I could not have done as I did.”
"Speaking of life saving I owe you one too." said Frost as she stood up to let the fire burn on its own for a moment.
Zol smiled, “It was both my duty and a pleasure.”
Frost smiled streching then going back to making supper.
Citra smiled, "Yes, I've already thanked Piper. I owe you a life debt, Zol." She bowed her head solemnly, for her people took life debts seriously.
“Nay,” said Zol, “Let there be no talk of debts between us.”
Citra didn't know what to say. She stared at the boy for a moment, eyes bright and wide. She'd never heard of anyone refusing a life debt before. What was she to do? "Um…" She blushed furiously and looked away.
Frost smiled, "Food will be ready in a little while ok?" she told the others,
(This is my last post for today, see you tommorrow..)
Zol gazed at her worriedly. “Have I done wrong? Did I offend you in any way? If so I apologize most deeply.”
Piper stood up suddenly. "I'm going to the Ocean for a bit." There was a certain tilt to her voice that even herself couldn't identify. She walked out of the clearing, and down to the shore. Maybe She can comfort me.
Zol watched her for a second, a little worried. Then his head snapped back to face Citra.
"Oh no! No offence at all." She said quickly, wringing her hands. Her eyes watched Piper vanish, before darting back to Zol's. "I've never heard of someone refusing a life debt before. They are quite sacred to my people, so I'm unsure of how to proceed." She ran a hand through her long hair and smiled awkwardly at him.
“No!” he protested, “Far be it from me to refuse a sacred bond of your kin. I accept it most gladly!” He noticed that he to was kneading his hands in anxiety. He stopped suddenly.
This time Citra laughed, a merry sound the soared through the cave. "You are most intriguing." She said tilting her head at him. She reached for his hand, turning it so it was palm up and pressed her index finger into the very center of his palm. It glowed darkly for a moment, before she pulled away. A small flame like mark now adorned his palm. "It will tell me when you are in danger so that I may save your life next time." She explained, smiling warmly.
Zol gazed at the mark on his hand in amazement. A smile flitted across his face for a second.
"I can make it look different…" Citra said reaching forward again, misinterpreting his silence.
“No need.” he paused, “I like it.”
Citra smiled shyly as she blushed again, pleased.
Zol sat still awkwardly. He wished he could think of something to say, but he could not. His mind was a mess of chaos that he desperately wished to control but every time he would try everything would go wildly out of focus. What was wrong with him? Breath. he told himself. Concentrate.
(Idk but now that I’m working with him Zol seems like he is such an honorable character except he’s more like an adorable cinnamon roll.)
Piper didn't bother discarded her clothes before wading in the water, going deeper and deeper until she was able to go under. The gills on her neck helped her breath underwater, and she swam deeper and deeper until the comforting presence of the Ocean surrounded her. Piper sighed in relaxation and began to float. What is wrong, child? she heard a voice inside her head say.
(How should I reenter Artemis?)
(Where was he seen last?)
(Lol he is actually a she. She was fighting the monstre and saw Crisi(?) Faint)
(Let’s just assume she’s been here the entire time and go from there.)
