"This way I'm acting isn't reasonable," she contested.
"This way I'm acting isn't reasonable," she contested.
“Yes, it is,” he insisted, running a hand through his tangled hair.
She sipped her water again, "I want to tell you," she confessed. "Handling it is another story,"
Pierre was struggling to keep his face composed. “Either way, it’s a reasonable answer. You don’t have to tell me anything, or want me in your home.”
"Well…" she rested her head on the back of the chair, "It's complicated..
“I don’t doubt that it is,” he replied, “But you don’t want me here. For one, I’m not a great.. not a great person. And second, we’re on opposite sides of the war.”
"I could care less about the war," her nose wrinkled.
He fell silent for a moment. “I have to go soon anyways, for that.. when I get better, I’m leaving to fight.. I probably won’t come back.”
(Ooh maybe I should kill him off?)
B o i only if you want to break my poor gorl )
Dont kill her potential love interest a a a a )
A shadow crossed her face. "You won't come back?"
(OHHHH I HAVE A GREAT IDEA FOR WHEN HE LEAVES BUT ITS A SURPRISE )
( L o v e i n t e r e s t ? ? )
(Give me a hint?)
“I mean— I mean that I’ll probably die.”
Hint is our setting will chnage to war camp when he goes )
"So saving your life was in vain, then." She replied with a voice oozing in poorly hidden hurt.
( o o h
o.O)
“No!” he protested, once again at a loss for words. “I’m not— I’m not throwing my life away. I’m eternally grateful to you for— for saving me, but there isn’t a guarantee that someone won’t kill me.”
This is Edonine's personality type: https://www.16personalities.com/isfp-personality )
She wrinkled her nose, looked down, contemplated something. "And what if you don't die?"
(Ooh very cool)
(I should do one of those for Pierre)
“If I don’t die….” He trailed off. It wasn’t as if he had anywhere to go.
Ye, very noice. I'm an INFJ )
She lifted her eyes a little more. Hoping he'd say what she wanted to hear.
The hope in Edonine’s eyes broke him. She was already putting so much faith in him… “I could… I could come back to you?”
(Nice I’m a.. Oof I forget.)
O o f)
André's an ENFJ )
"Good choice," she whispered.
(I can’t wait to write some more Pierre/André conflict)
Pierre’s heart swelled for reasons he couldn’t explain. “And you’d take me back?” he asked softly, equally hopeful.
XD! Oh oof )
"Like I said," she spoke in a breath, pushing dented hair behind her ear. "The company is sweet.."
Not my company…. You’ll grow tired of me eventually.. He kept quiet on the matter, so incredibly.. hopeful? Elated? Happy that someone actually wanted him?
She stood up, left the glass on the counter to clean in the morning. Delta flew to her shoulder. "So, I will… see you in the morning, Pierre," Edonine looked over her shoulder at him—the birdless shoulder— and spoke a genuine, "Goodnight,"
He nodded simply, offering her a tentative smile. “Sleep well.”
Time skip?
Sure, to morning?
Yeah)
~~~
Pierre would wake up with a chicken sleeping on his chest.
(Lmao)
Pierre’s eyes flew open. The first thing he saw were two beady eyes and a pointy beak.
"Mup, mup. Mup." The chicken softly clucked. From his room he could hear his caretaker frying eggs in the kitchen, singing a familiar song.
Pierre sat up groggily, pushing the chicken off his chest and squeezing his eyes shut, his heart pounding. White light flashed in his mind, making him flinch.
