"Actually the sorting hat couldn't tell which house i belonged in so they just put me in Slytherin"

She blinked. “Really?”

"Yep…That's why my emotions are all over the place"

“Huh… So you were a Hatstall then…”

"Yeah…" He nervously rubbed the back of his neck

She laughed. “So it was you! We were back to back Hatstalls during our Sorting Ceremony!”

"Really?" He laughed

“Don’t you remember?” She grinned wildly.

"Now i do" he smiles back

“That’s one of the reasons why they hate me, actually,” she muttered.

"that could be part of the reason snape doesn't like us"

“True!” she exclaimed.
Snape glared at her. “Quiet down, Miss Katz unless you want another detention, I believe that would be the 10th this month,” he threatened smoothly. The group of Ravenclaws laughed louder than her comment and Snape ignored them.

Conner walked up to him "Um Professor. Why do you hate us? I mean the other girls laughed but they didn't get in trouble"

“Do you want a detention?” Snape sneered.

"haven't had it yet so go ahead" He stood his ground

“Detention. Both if you,” he added before turning and walking away.

He walked back to her. "Now your not alone!"

Her mouth was open. “Why did you do that?”

"Because i can"

“You little Hatstall, you,” she said, playfully.

He laughs and then a group of boys came over and punched his shoulder "That was awesome Conner"
"y-you could say that…"

Jamie smiled for Conner and stirred her cauldron again.

"anyways do you have a date to the Yule ball?"

Jamie was caught completely off guard. “Wait, what?” she sputtered.

"The Yule Ball. Next week?"

“N-No,” she stammered. “I don’t.”

"Would you like to go with me?"

“Oh! I’d love to!” Jamie exclaimed quietly.

He smiled widely "really?"
