This is pretty much another one-on-one shipping role play, though it's probably going to take a more supernatural turn. Demons, angels, spirits, wendigos and other creatures are definitely allowed, just run it by me before. (Humans are totally okay too.) This will most likely be based in a city of some sort, though if any ideas are definitely welcome too.
Rules:
-No real life hate, homophobic slurs, racist comments, etc.
-LGBTQ+ is definitely allowed
-if anything goes far, just take it to pm
-2+ sentences to keep this alive

Thanks! Would you preferr a girl+guy, girl+girl, or guy+guy ship?
I have a guy character that I'm most likely going to use, but it's totally up to you.
Name: Simon Riel
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Gay
Species: Half Siren, half human
Appearance: Silky dirty blond curls cut short, sort of unkempt, almost buzzed around the sides and back, thick lashes, paler in colour, lining mismatched eyes; one a faded grey, the other a dark hazel. Pain is always evident in them, and though he can easily fake a facial expression, his eyes are like an open book that give the act away. A scar that runs over the bridge of his nose, a nick out of his left ear, a lightly tanned skin tone that barely ever burns. 5’11”, muscled from years of swimming, average build pertaining to slimness, constantly chapped or bleeding lips.
Personality: Closed up to most, slow to trust, isn’t fazed easily. Can be unintentionally intimidating, prefers silence over speaking unless with loved ones, tilting towards the introverted side of the spectrum. Lots of turbulent emotions that he shoves down and buries, a dark mind, very self-deprecating, takes a lot to get him (visibly) worked up, but if he’s angry, run for your life. A pessimistic dreamer, artistic soul, thinks deeply.
Usual Outfit: Loose monochrome t-shirts, a battered black jacket, dark trousers, converse high-tops or sandals. Feels completely comfortable shirtless, mainly due to the amount of time he spends swimming half-unclothed anyways.
Background (optional): I’ll reveal as we go along
Other: Since he’s a half-siren, he can hold his breath underwater for up to three hours, is strengthened both physically and mentally by close proximity to the sea, especially when submerged, needs to be in water at least once a week or he’ll dry up and die, and can sing literally hypnotizing songs.
(He okay?)
(I love him! I think I have someone who will balance him out perfectly. He's a little wilder, so they should work well.)
Awesome, thanks! Can’t wait :)
Name: Kaye Hakuto
Age: Close to a couple centuries old, though looks about 24-ish.
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Pansexual
Species: Goryō – (pretty much vengeful spirit of the dead in Japanese mythology)
Appearance: Paler skin with a few odd, faint freckles here and there. Faint, flushed undertones on his cheeks, collarbone and shoulders. Has softer features, with a rounder jawline and pronounced cheekbones. Around 5’8 with a lean and lanky build. Straight, dark brown hair, though it is dyed with some red hues. It’s grown out so the strands hand past his ears and can be tucked behind. Hangs in a messy style. (This can be used to reference his features and hair https://www.instagram.com/p/BX3MLaYHIi7/) Wider eyes for his background that are a lighter, tawny brown. He’ll wear grey-blue contacts over them every once in a while. A small, silver ring on his bottom lip (he only wears it a couple times). A couple tattoos of Japanese writing and creatures on his arms and back. A few odd, raised scars on his back and a few on his arms and jawline as well. Usually has some sort of pouty, frowning look or grin on his features.
Personality: Has grown a harder shell over time, and won’t open up very quickly. He likes to keep himself a bit distant and not reveal much about himself. Reckless and loud. Laidback and charismatic. Doesn’t take great care of himself, though doesn’t always consider other people’s opinions. Can lose his temper quickly. Wild and moody. Holds grudges. Knows when to be serious and gets strangely calm in situations that need a lot of focus. Can be sweet and adorable.
Usual Outfit: Wears a beanie most of the time since he usually has a bed head. Likes to wear a ton of hoodies and sweaters. Will occasionally wear odd, Hawaiian patterned shirts, except instead of all of it being flowers, there are a few Japanese words. (use the picture above for reference) Distressed black jeans. Beat up converse. Likes to dress “aesthetically.”
Background: Kaye had originally died somewhere in Japan a few centuries ago though doesn’t quite remember where. Though, a few underworld gods let him come back as a Goryo or a spirit. Pretty much, he’s vengeful and looking for those who were connected to killing him.
Other: Has a small, brightly colored spirit. It’s in the form of a dog, though he isn’t quite sure about what it is. (it just seemingly showed up one day)
(oops, I need to change the role play description above because I forgot to use one on one terms. I'll do that right now.)
I have to go to bed right now, but we can start this up tomorrow if that's alright with you?
Yeah no problem! It’s almost 2am here anyways, so that’s probably a good idea lol
lol yeah, you should probably get to bed. See you tomorrow!
Sorry that I wasn't on sooner, I was really busy today. If you're online we can start whenever.
it's no problem! I'm good to start rn, you?
Thank you! And yeah, I can start too. Do you have any ideas for a location or plot?
awesome! for location, do you just want to go with Canada/America? or England? idk? Made up city? as far as plot goes, maybe the one finds the other beaten up in some sketchy alley? idk lol up to you, I'm kinda braindead
Ooh, I like that alley idea. Which character should be found there?
And maybe the location could be some random town in Canada. And finally, as for the shipping, should it be a slow burn so the plot lasts longer?
Yeah, slow burns are great!
Sure, location sounds good
For the alley thing, it’s up to you!
Sounds good. I'll have Kaye be in the alley since he's on a bit of a vengeful mission if you take a look at his backstory lol. I'll post the starter right now.
(Sorry, it's a bit long.)
Kaye did not like the taste of blood; especially if it was his own. A hand had pushed him down onto the rough, asphalt of the alleyway a few moments earlier, where he now kneeled as he wiped at his busted lip furiously. The two men across from him had cut it earlier, though for some reason it wouldn't stop bleeding. As he began to push himself up, he ignored his mind's racing thoughts of just turning around and running. Instead began to lift his bruised knuckles again. Surely the purple staining his skin would get darker after this was over.
"Aw, our little goryō is getting back up," a deep voice taunted, a heavy Japanese accent evident in his voice. Just the sound of it seemed to make Kaye furious, though he knew that his anger and impulsiveness had landed him in this situation anyway.
(No, it’s great!)
Simon pulled his hood more securely around his head, stuffing his hands back into his jacket pockets right after. A strong gust of wind blew, pushing the hood back again and ruffling his mess of blond curls, which only added to the heap of frustration piling up inside of him. Growling to himself, he clenched his fists and barely refrained from punching the brick wall next to him, instead choosing to duck his head and keep walking.
Where he was going, he had no idea, he just let his weary feet carry him through the winding streets of the city. He felt.. lost. Unmoored. And he desperately needed an anchor.
That’s when he heard it. A scuffling sound, coming from up ahead. A taunt he didn’t understand followed, and heaving a sigh, he turned into the alleyway to get a look at what was going on.
(Thanks!)
Kaye stepped forward, swinging at one of the men but clearly missing. He was already shorter than the two and the knocks to his head didn't exactly help with his balance either.
One of the older men chuckled and easily side-stepped his unhinged punch, adjusting the dark jacket they were wearing as they rolled their shoulders back in preparation. Wearily, Kaye took a step back, furrowing his brow in concentration as if he were bracing himself for the hit. It wasn't like him to just…give up, but he knew he didn't have much of a chance.
Wow, okay. Simon blinked at the scene before him, slightly taken aback for a moment. He’d walked in on what appeared to be a big fight, and an unfair one at that. The shortest guy was clearly outnumbered and bleeding in several places, which brought on a twinge of unusual concern.
“Right, okay.” He cleared his throat, raising both eyebrows. “I don’t know what going on here, nor do I particularly care, but you,” he gestured to the larger men, “Are going to clear out and leave this guy alone.” He’d done this before, broken up fights, started others, and whenever taken on, he usually won. It just… pissed him off, seeing jerks who enjoyed completely outnumbering and beating up random people, and besides, they were blocking his shortcut.
