(Why is that everyone’s immediate assumption??? Like, there are dozens of reasons to be throwing up, not just pregnancy! Irritating)

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

(Right? Like ugh, can't I just be sick?)

Kaillas froze for a moment. He looking at her face, making sure that she meant it. He was looking for any uncertainly or unease. He would pull the plug immediately if she showed any signs of regret. But then she was tugging her nightgown down her body and he couldn't breathe.

His eyes watched as her fingers pulled the gown down her shoulders and off her body. His grip on her thighs tightened for a moment as her breasts became visible to him and he got a good look at her chest. "Exquisite," he murmured. She was beautiful. It was the grip he had on her thighs that kept him from reaching forward.

He slowly climbed out of her open legs and placed his feet on the bedroom floor. His hand went to his waistband, tugging at it, in case she had any objections. When he heard none, he tugged the waistband down his hips. He slowly lowered it down his thighs until it pooled in the ground. He stepped out of his pajama pants. Then he stood in front of her, completely nude and his desire standing proud.

@LolaBug

(It’s so stupid. Half the time they’re serious and half the time they’re joking but it’s annoying every time. It’s even in tv shows and movies. The second a character throws up, you just knows they’re pregnant)

Ophelia is completely serious about this. As if to prove it, she carefully slips her nightgown off of her shoulders. Noticing his gaze, she pauses for a moment to let him get a look. Her cheeks redden at his words. She’s glad that he seems to like what he sees.

The grip he has on her thighs keeps her from fully pulling the nightgown off. Once he removes his grip and gets off of the bed, she decides to remove it fully to get it out of the way. She has to shift around a little on the bed in order to fully get it off. With the nightgown successfully off, she takes a breath and carefully sets it aside.

She stays quiet as she watches him undress, showing no signs of wanting him to stop. Her instinct is to avert her gaze, that is what has been instilled in her so she has to remind herself to keep her eyes on him. Her gaze slowly combs over his body, going lower and lower. The second she spots his very erect desire, her eyes go huge. “Oh,” She breathes out, staring at him in disbelief for a moment.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

(Yessss. Like, stomach pain doesn't equal pregnancy. It can mean a lot of stuff. This is why women get overlooked medically)

Kaillas stood proud as his wife looked lower and lower down his body. He had almost a lazy smile on his lips as her gaze finally settled on his erect desire. He could have smirked had this not been the first time she had seen him, much less any man's erection. He prided himself on being bigger than the average. It was larger than most but still remained pleasurable for his partners.

He took a small step closer, his thighs almost hitting the edge of the mattress. He stretched put his hand, palm up for her to take. He was going to show her how to touch him if she would let him. "You look beautiful, my darling girl."

He was so close to her now. It would have been so easy to look at her. So easy to let his gaze fall. But he remained respectful. He looked no lower than her chest and now was training his eyes on her face. "Will you let me show you how to touch me?"

(How far did you want this to go? Did you wanna move this to pms or fade to black?)

@LolaBug

(It’s utterly ridiculous. Doctors need to take women seriously rather than just brushing their pain off as either a pregnancy symptom or their period)

Ophelia has seen paintings of naked men before and she’s been flashed by an older man on one occasion. Nothing could have prepared her for this. Her husband is larger than she anticipated, something he appears to be quite proud of. It makes her a tad nervous but she’s been that that a considerable size is a good thing. She hopes that’s true.

Tearing her gaze away from his desire, she looks up at his face. The shock is finally starting to wear off. She lightly sets her hand on his, all too aware of just how close he is now. “Thank you,” She says softly, greatly appreciating his words and how he wound they are. She had been worried but it seems like he’s happy with her so now she can relax a little.

She wouldn’t mind if he wanted to look. This is her idea after all. It’s wonderful that he’s focused on her as a person, not just her body. Though, she hopes that he appreciates her physically as well. “Yes.” Her answer is relatively quick. Though she is nervous, she wants to do this.

(I’m good with moving this to pms if you are. If not, I totally understand!)

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Kaillas placed his hands in his pockets, leaning against the frame with his legs crossed as he watched her dress. His eyes lacked desire and instead held admiration. He liked watching her beautiful body, no matter what she was doing. It didn't always elicit a heated reaction from him.

He took her hand as she held it out to him and walked out their bedroom door with her. "We missed breakfast but if you would still like some I'm sure we can ask the cooks. Otherwise they'll have lunch ready for us soon," he said as they walked down the stairs.

He noticed the looks some of the staff gave them and leveled a hard stare to them in return. They hadn't done anything wrong. They were husband and wife and they could enjoy themselves as they pleased. They had no right to judge them.

@LolaBug

Ophelia is just a little embarrassed about being so obvious that the staff knows what they were up to. They must have been much louder than she originally thought. She gives his hand a light squeeze as she tries to focus on other things. There’s no use in getting all up in her head.

“There’s no need to bother the cooks. Lunch will be done soon.” She’s fine to wait a few minutes before eating. It would be rude to get up underfoot and start pestering the cooks when they won’t starve to death in a matter of a few minutes.

Wanting to get some fresh air, she heads for the deck. Already she can see that the day is beautiful. The sun is high in the sky and there’s a gentle breeze. It’s perfect weather. “Perhaps we could go for a swim later?” She asks, looking over to him.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Kaillas nodded his head. Lunch was fine by him as well. He followed her out to the deck that looked on the beach and the water. It was warm outside with a slight breeze, perfect to spend the day outside on the beach. The staff was already setting up the outside table and chairs for them to take their meal.

He settled behind Opehlia, wrapping his arms around her waist and holding her back to his chest. He dropped his chin on the top of her head. He smiled down at her. "Of course we can." He had already planned on then swimming before their morning activities. They would likely need to take it a little easy in case she was still sore.

Today was their third day at the beach house. They had four more days left, technically, though their fourth day woukd consist of breakfast then traveling back to the palace. They had three days to enjoy the rest of their honeymoon. Other than having dinner one night in the town, the plans were a little up in air.

@LolaBug

Ophelia leans back into his touch with a smile. She looks up at the bright blue sky, just enjoying how perfect everything is today. “Is there somewhere pretty shallow we can swim? I’ve swam in lakes before but never an ocean.” She’s not sure how big the difference is so she’s a little cautious.

It saddens her to think that they’ll have to return to the palace soon. These last few days have been wonderful. She knows that they won’t get much one on one time once they return. He will have his kingly duties and she’ll be sucked into the whirlwind of court.

Not wanting to think about that and ruin the moment, she shakes her head a little to clear her thoughts. They still have a few days to enjoy themselves. She wants to soak up every moment that she can with him. Who knows when they’ll be lucky enough to spend so much time together again.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

"As long as you stay close to the shore you should be alright," Kaillas said. "And I'll be right with you. I won't let you go in the water by yourself." There were dangers with every body of water, the ocean was no different. He would feel better if he was in there with her to keep her safe.

He woukd miss being on the honeymoon. He couldn't believe he was saying that. He had been the one to shorten it in the first place too. And yet now he was beginning ti regret it. But he knew they couldn't stay there forever and the longer they were away from the palace, the more he was going to return to when they went back to the palace. It was better this way.

A maid approached then hesitantly, dipping into a curtsy and refusing to make eye contact with them. "Lunch is ready, Your Majesty." Kaillas nodded his head at her, dismissing her and he pulled back from Ophelia. "Come, let's eat. We worked up an appetite."

@LolaBug

Ophelia is more worried about the currents and less so about what his be lurking in the water. The lakes she swims in are pretty calm. While she’s a pretty solid swimmer, she like to have safety measures in place. Hearing that Kaillas will be out there with her the whole time, she does relax.

Turning her head, she looks to the maid and offers a small smile. Unfortunately, it seems as though the maid would rather be anywhere else. She sighs softly. They really did make things awkward with the staff. She feels bad about it.

She thanks the young woman before looking to her husband and nodding. At least they’re able to eat now. She pulls away from him enough so they can head over to where the table and all of the food has been set up.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Kaillas had never heard of anyone getting stuck in a current or a riptide out here but it was still better to be safe than sorry. It best to stick closer to the shore where you could stand instead of swimming out in the open water. He never went in further than his chest.

It bothered him how the maid was treating them. He didn't understand what they expected of them. It would be frowned upon if they didn't have sex (not that they did but they had done enough that it coukd easily be assumed) and now it was frowned upon if they did. They were married. They could do as they pedaled with one another and he would appreciate it if everyone stopped acting like they had done soemthung wrong.

Taking her hand, he led Ophelia to the table outside where their lunch was already waiting for them. There were two glasses of water and two wine glasses in case they opted for that. He knew with her sore throat, wine would not be an option today.

@LolaBug

Ophelia just doesn’t get why everyone is looking at them like that. It’s their honeymoon. It’s expected for them to have sex. Granted, they didn’t but it certainly sounded like they were. She hates the stares. It makes her feels uncomfortable but she won’t say anything about it.

Going over to the table, she sits down and takes a minute to get settled. She takes a look at the food to see what’s on the meat today. As per usual, everything looks fantastic. She’s also starving so she certainly isn’t going to be picky right now.

She waits for Kaillas to join her. It would be incredibly rude for her to start eating before he’s even sat down, even though a small part of her is tempted to do so.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Kaillas pulled out her chair for her as he always did and dropped a kiss to the top of her head as she sat. He helped her push the chair in closer to the table before taking his own seat opposite of her. He reached for his glass of water and took a sip. He was parched. He hadn't had any water since their meal yesterday. He had been too wrapped up in his head earlier to take care of his basic needs. Now he was realizing he was more tired than he'd realized.

He he waited for Ophelis to take the first bite before starting to eat off of his own plate. He was also quite hungry. They had burned off a lit of calories over the past few hours and he needed to replenish his strength. They both did. He would make sure she ate enough.

"Try not to let them bother you," he said in a quiet voice. "They're just busy bodies. It'll be better when we return to the palace. Only a select few staff are allowed in our in wing. And while the rooms aren't soundproof," for obvious reasons, "It'll be a lot quieter. The staff won't talk or look at you different."

They might need to watch their volume a little bit because his sisters were only a few doors down from them. But seeing as his bedroom was in the back of his suite, sounds didn't often reach their rooms. He learned the limit of how loud he could be the hard way. And in a few years, his sisters would be married and moved out and they would have it to themselves until they finally had children.

@LolaBug

Ophelia thanks him when he pulls out the chair and kisses the top of her head. She always appreciates the simple sweet things that he does for her. She reaches forward and takes her cup, downing about half the glass of water in one go. She’s parched and hungry. They really worked up a sweat these last several hours.

Once Kaillas has sat down, she digs into her food. It tastes wonderful. Even more so since she hasn’t eaten in forever after burning off so many calories. For a few minutes she focuses on eating, neglecting to come up with a conversation topic. After a few minutes, she’s got some food on her stomach and is feeling a bit better.

“I just don’t like that they’re staring at us like we’ve done something wrong.” It makes her feel dirty. She knows that since they’re married and on their honeymoon, they should be able to fool around without anyone being surprised. She just wasn’t expecting the reactions from the staff.

She hopes that he’s right about the palace. It’ll be nice to have some more privacy and more understanding staff. She’s just starting to feel comfortable and confident with herself and with him, she doesn’t want anyone to make her feel dirty or shameful for it.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Their glasses of water were refilled almost immediately and Kaillas instructed for her to leave the pitcher on the table and she could go inside. They could take care of themselves. He didn't need someone to pour him water. And he wanted to get away from their scrutiny.

He reached across the table and took her hand, holding it tightly in his hand. "Hey, look at me," he said gently. "Nothing that we have done is wrong or dirty or shameful. People see sex and marriage for people like us as a duty. They expect for us to treat sex as a duty and nothing that we should enjoy, because we're royals. If we weren't meant to enjoy it, we would not have been made for it to be pleasurable. We've done nothing wrong, don't let anyone make you think otherwise."

He squeezed her hand before retreating back to his side of the table and grabbing his fork, starting to eat again. He finished up his plate and grabbed a roll in the basket of the center of the table, tearing it and munching on it. "I let very few people staff into our wing and even fewer into my suite. Other than moving your things into my rooms, we should be primarily left alone. A couple maids and maybe Catalina will help you dress for the day. Other than, there will be a couple guards posted out the door and the maid's will clean the room after we've left."

@LolaBug

Glad that the maid has gone inside, she sighs quietly and leans against the back of her chair. It’s nice to not have anyone hovering. It’s just too much to deal with. She sips at her water before setting the cup off to the side and looking back to Kaillas.

She squeezes his hand lightly in return. “I know that you’re right but it’s hard to handle all of the stares and judgement. It’s not fair that just because of our status we aren’t allowed to enjoy ourselves. They only view me as a vessel to carry your heir. They don’t see me as a person with thoughts and feelings.” It irks her. Compared to most people their struggles are petty but she feels like they should still be allowed to vent and feel frustrated.

Turning her attention to her food, she goes back to eating. She’s still hungry so she’ll have no problem polishing off her plate. “I don’t really need help unless the dress is complicated.” Though she appreciates the effort of the maids, she’d like to be more independent. She knows how to dress and bathe herself. She sees no need to have a couple of people fussing over her for such mundane tasks.

@LolaBug

(Oh ouch!!! I know that hurts like hell! Slather a whole bunch of aloe on that. It’s even better if you have an aloe plant and you can just snap a leaf off)

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

"I know, darling, I know." Kaillas knew as well as anyone what it was like to be placed on a pedestal. It had been a big adjustment for him and he fought it more than once. Going from the army where he was just one of the many to suddenly being king was vastly different. He struggled and fought against the role they were trying to shove at him for so long before he learned how to make it work for him.

"It will get better with time, I promise. Once the court gets more familiar with you or some other scandal happens, it it will calm down. They'll leave you alone more. And if you ever need to get away, just come to me. I'll get you out of the palace for a little while." While he'd might not always get to go with her, he could send his sisters or Catalina so she wouldn't be alone.

He refilled his water glass as he drained it again. He sat back in his seat, munching slowly on the piece of bread in his hand. His hunger was mostly satisfied now. He smiled at her. "You can talk to Catalina about that."

@LolaBug

Ophelia sighs quietly and finishes eating. She appreciates that Kaillas is trying to make her feel better but she’s just going to have to learn on how to adjust on her own. Though she’s been in the spotlight her whole life, most people haven’t really cared about her. They were always much more interested in her brother and then when he died the focus turned to who would take his place.

That’s something she’s still incredibly bitter about. It’s not fair that she’s not able to take the throne. Though she’s very happy with how things turned out with her marriage, a part of her is always going to wonder what would have happened if she had been able to become queen of her home kingdom.

She waits for Kaillas to finish eating so they can properly start their day. Everything got so delayed and out of sorts this morning. It was a lot of fun but it really threw any sort of schedule right out the window. And then she crashed for another few hours which shaved off a chunk of their day.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Kaillas pushed out his chair and beckoned for her to come over to him. He saw rhat look in her face and could guess what she was thinking about. Her birthright, her position, that pedestal they were put on. He could practically see the wheels turning in her head. He wanted to soothe those thoughts.

Once she was close enough, he grabbed her by the hips and pulled her to sit across his lap. He wrapped his arms around, hugging her to his chest. He kissed her forehead. "You would have been a wonderful Queen for your home. But now my kingdom gets to have you as their Queen. I promise you will have more than figure roll. I don't expect you spend your days planning teaparties and balls."

While his sisters had enjoyed doing it, they were also young and unbothered by most things. Elora was beginning to become more aware of the things around in their kingdom and had her own opinions about them. And he always listened, and sometimes he took her up on it. "We will work together. You will have an office next to me and we'll make decisions about pur kingdom together."

@LolaBug

Ophelia gets up and goes over to him when beckoned to do so. She sits down on his lap with a soft huff, leaning into his touch. "They can bite me," She mutters, displeased with even the thought of her birth kingdom right now. Her parents haven't even bothered to send her a letter to ask how she's doing. The second she left, she's certain that she became dead to them. "Do you really mean that?" She asks, looking up at his face. She would love to have actual responsibilities. Granted, she would still love to through balls for the kingdom and teaparties for the court but she wants to do more.

She's surprised and very excited to hear that he's actually going to be giving her an office and including her in all of the decisions. All she was hoping for was for some tasks with actual meaning but she's more than happy to take more. She has a good amount of knowledge on politics and how to run a kingdom so she knows that she could be an asset. She just needs to be given a proper chance.

The bonus is that it would royally piss her parents off to know that she's an a position of actual power. They raised her to be quiet and obedient. She smiles a bit at the thought. Perhaps it's petty but she wants to do something rebellious. Or, rebellious in their eyes.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Kaillas chuckled at her words, kissing her cheek. He knew she meant them. Her family had not been kind to her. They neglected her and pushed her aside all because she was born a woman and not a man. As if that had anything to do with her ability to lead a country. He decided right then that no matter what gender their first child was, they would be named his heir. A boy or girl, it didn't matter. The only reason the crown woukd pass on to the second born would be because of death or they weren't fit to rule for whatever reason that may be.

"I do mean it," he promised. "You can still plan your balls and teaparties, but anything important and we decide together." He didn't think he would be able to get her into his council meetings but he would discuss the contents of it with her. "You are my wife and my Queen. You are equal to me in all ways. And I'll let you handle any correspondence with your parents as a personal 'fuck you.'"

He wanted to shoved it in her parents face how well of a ruler she was going to be. He believed she would do wonderful. With a little bit of guidance and knowledge, he had every faith that she would be able to run his country. He was going to be there every step of the way and show her.

@LolaBug

Ophelia leans into his touch, appreciating that he's willing to put some faith in her. She attended all of her brother's lessons and then paid a tutor in secret to continue her education after he died. She knows that she can be a good ruler. It means the world to her that Kaillas is willing give her a chance. "Thank you," She says sincerely. It's a wild feeling to know that someone actually believes in her. "I promise that I won't let you down." It's important for her to let him know that she will actually be successful. There's a lot that she's certain she can help out with.

The smile on her face grows as he mentions her being in charge of any correspondence to her parents. She can only imagine the looks on their faces as they realize that she's in a position of power and can make actual decisions. It would absolutely drive them insane. All they see her as is a baby maker. She can't wait to prove them wrong and rub her success in their faces.

She kisses his cheek lightly, feeling much better now that he's assured her that she'll be able to make some decisions. With a very happy hum, she hops off of his lap and takes his hand. "Come on, I want to go take a walk with you. Or we could go on that swim?"

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Kaillas gave her a soft look. "You could never let me down." He didn't expect her to always make the right decisions. He didn't. He dealt with the consequences everyday for his actions, even when they were the right ones. It was going to be hard for her but he would show her the right way to do it. He would offer guidance and help when she asked for it. And he would approve everything before it went into effect. It wasn't that he would second guess it or change anything about her policy. He might offer a suggestion but really he just wanted to know what it was before it became official.

He knew she would get excited about dealing with her parents. He felt like it was the right sort of justice and karma for then ignoring her all these years. He could only imagine the horror and anger as they watched their daughter excel in life even when they tried to prevent her. She was more than just her womb. She had a beautiful mind and the world deserved to see it.

Kaillas made to stand when the back door burst open. He looked at the door, startled and anger rising at being interrupted until he saw the messenger in riding clothes. "Someone better be dying," he practically growled, though he knew someone very well would be if a palace messenger was here.

He let go of Ophelia and walked to the man, taking the letter from his hands. He read the contents once, twice, then swore. He burst into the house, almost running to the office and finding a pen and paper. He was shouting at the staff to ready a horse for him. He would need to leave as soon as possible.

(Hehe don't hate me :D )

@LolaBug

Ophelia may be excited about the idea of being in a position of power but she won’t do anything rash. Any and all final decisions are up to Kaillas. She’ll accept his guidance and ask questions and get advice when she needs to. She knows that she can’t just step into the role and be perfect at it. There’s a lot that she still has to learn and she’ll never be done learning. There’s always something new. She wants to be the best that she can be and that means accepting help and continuing to grow as a person.

What she’s most excited for, however, is undoubtedly the fact that her parents will be well aware of her status. With their old fashioned views and their short tempers she just knows they they’ll throw a tantrum when they finally find out. She would love nothing more than to be a fly on the wall in that moment.

She nearly jumps out of her skin when a messengers comes barreling through the door. The chaos and panic that follows instantly overwhelms her. It takes her a moment to realize what’s happening. Her heart sinks as she has to come to terms that Kaillas is leaving. Though she knows that it must be for a good reason, the pain doesn’t dull. They’re barely three days into their honeymoon and now it’s over.

Despite the whirlwind of emotions bubbling up inside of her, she knows that she needs to stay calm. “What’s going on?” She asks the messenger, worried about how serious this is.

(You just murdered their honeymoon in cold blood. Vicious XD)

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

(I did. I did do that. It's been planned the whole time mwahaha)

Kaillas found the paper in one drawer and a pen in the other. He tried to still his hand as he wrote on the page. He needed it to be legible so Ambrose would understand his instructions. He folded the letter and grabbed some wax, heating enough with a match to melt on the paper. He placed his seal, the royal seal on the letter. Then he took a moment, gripping the oak desk and finding his breath. He was angry. Angry this was happening, angry this was ruining his honeymoon. But it needed his immediate response and it would work better if he were there himself.

The messenger gave Ophelia a sympathetic look. "I think it's best if you talk to the king, Your Majesty." Then he stepped back into the house. He was expected to take a letter back to Ambrose who was acting regent. He would want to know the king's response.

Kaillas strode out of the office. He had written a second letter. One was for Ophelia, the other for Ambrose. The letter returning to the palace merely said that he, the king, was personally going to take care of this problem and to send five hundred of their men with him. It should be enough to deal with the problem and enough of a military force to make a statement. The other one was for Ophelia only.
