She was shocked, but didn't let it show on her face. "No, you're lying. Mattias would never do that to anyone. He's a father of 3, why would he risk his kids?"

"Look. It. Up." The eyebrows furrowed on the bunny's face, but the painted smile never moved, adding the the creepiness. "I'm going to tear through your little circle jerk one by fucking one. You don't kill one my my fucking friends and get away with it. All of you are guilty!"
Kaz lunged against the ice so hard that cracks appeared all over the huge block, making a scary chhrick! sound.
She tapped her foot and the ice reformed, growing more so that he had less room. "Even if he did it, that doesn't mean the rest of us are guilty. I don't have blood on my hands, and there are plenty other teammates who haven't hurt a soul."
"Lies. Everything you think you know is a lie. You've been brainwashed just like everyone else is this fucking city," he growled through grit teeth.
"No one is lying to me!" Avery yelled. "I'm am perfectly sane of mind. I joined Northside after I got my powers because I wanted to. They haven't done anything to me."
"To you?" he spat out. "Not everything is about you! They won't touch a hair on your little head because they have a leash around your fucking neck! We, the people who know, are the people they go and send you to fuck up!"
(idk what to do)
(Well, from the character sheet, it seemed like she'd at least want to see if he has proof of what he's saying)
(OK thx)
Avery stared at him, trying to make sense of what he was saying. "You know what? No. I won't believe you until you give me proof that says what you're telling me. Otherwise I'm taking you in."
"See, I can't really show you when you have me covered in more ice than a mammoth carcass," he said dryly, the eyebrows on the mask coming back to normal. Still creepy, but very tame compared to the way it was before.
She melted the ice to just below his shoulders, then froze it completely around her body. "If you have proof, you are capable of showing me here. You don't need your body for that."
He tilted his head. "I don't carry around my fucking filing cabinet everywhere I go. And don't you think if I planned on killing your right now, I would've done it before you noticed me?"
"Well, possibly," She answered. "But the only knowledge I have on you is that you're a murderous villain. Do you blame me for taking extra precautions to ensure my safety?"
"I killed a man who's been terrorizing women for over two decades and killed my friend in cold blood," he said, sounding frustrated. "I'm no villain."
"You just confessed to a brutal murder," She shot back. "If that doesn't scream villain, I don't know what does."
"Man, then you're gonna love the shit I dug up about Muse," he said, the tenseness obvious in his voice.
(Muse is the leader of Northside)
"Muse is a perfect team leader. He is brilliant in every single way and if you think he's a villain then you're completely delusional and should be put into a mental hospital."
"I think you just have a crush on him. Get me out of this ice so I can show you what your little angel has done." He sounded bored at this point.
"Whoa! I do not like Muse that way. He's old enough to be my dad, which is gross!" She dry heaved at the thought. "But I'm still not letting you out."
"Then we'll be here for a hot minute." He looked down at the ice surrounding his lower half, then shrugged. "Okay, a cold minute."
"Give me a reason that I should believe you," She said. "I doesn't have to be physical proof, but right now you're not convincing me that well."
"What's the point? You're not gonna believe anything I say, so I'm going to the police station either way, Muse will come and kill me, and my miserable existence will be over," he said, shrugging.
"If you tell me something, I might end up believing you. But it depends on what you say. Because I'm not leaving until you tell me. I'll just leave you here in a thick block of ice until we can come and clean you up."
"I have nothing to fucking tell without my goddamn files. I already told you two of the reasons why I killed Bulldozer, and you believed neither," he growled. "So I'm done arguing with stupid. Fuck off and leave me to thaw."
Avery almost blew her fuse, the ice visibly cracking slightly. "Look. Part of me wants to believe you. Part of me thinks the same as you. Part of me wishes that I had been allowed to be a solo hero instead of being forced into Northside. But I can't do anything unless you give me proof. Because otherwise I let you get away.
"I have explained this to you so many times this statement owns real estate in your brain: it's in a filing cabinet in my apartment. I have no other prove other than what I speak, and that don't mean jack shit to you." He stayed perfectly calm despite how sketchy her emotions was making the situation.
"Ok, fine," She said. "I'll let you out of this ice, but you take me straight there. And I'm not going down for this. As soon as you try something, I'm taking you in. And just know that I can get away from you if you do try something."
"Never claimed you couldn't," he said, rolling his eyes.
She took a deep breath, in and out. "I'm gonna let you out now. Don't try anything or you're going straight back in." She sounded like a mother talking to her child. She slowly started to melt the ice.
"How many times do you need to repeat that before you think I understand?" he asked, rubbing his hands together as soon as they were free. "I speak the English language, you know."
