Kalon was definitely out for longer than usual, taking almost three hours to start stirring at all. Eventually, he whined and grumbled softly, and they blinked a couple of times as they awoke. "Mmnh…?" He looked up at Phoebe tiredly.

She was reading a book when she noticed he was waking up and went to put a book mark in it and set it to the side before she moved to headpat kalon.
"Morning sleepyhead."

"Morning…" Kalon yawned and sat up, wincing a bit. His head was aching since he didn't usually sleep for so long, and they still looked a bit out of it.

"Good morning kalon, did you have a good rest?' She smiled down at him, looking like an angel with the beam of light from the window shinning on her from above.

"Mmnh… good as possible, I suppose." Kalon groaned in reply and sat up, rubbing his temples with his fingers. "I'm sure I'll recover soon, though. You?" They asked softly, looking over to Phoebe with his cheeks lightly flushed.

"Well that's good to here." She smiled at him softly, tilting her head ever so slightly at him. Her hair glistened in the sunlight from the window.
She moved to give his head a pat pat.
"Eh..? Your face looks red, are you sure you shouldn't sleep more..?"

Kalon blinked a couple times and then flushed more. "Oh! No, no, I'm alright. It's nothing, really. I've probably rested longer than I should have anyway…" He sighed softly and leaned into Phoebe's touch. "How are you feeling?"

"But- kalon your face is even redder. Are you sure..?" She moved to place a hand on his forehead to check for his temperature.

"I'm fine, I'm fine…" Kalon insisted, closing his eyes with a soft sigh. He felt warm to the touch, but only from being flushed, not from fever. "I assure you I'm perfectly alright, Phoebe."

"Okay…you still feel a bit warm though so maybe you should rest more." She spoke, still having a hand on his face. She moved to place her forehead on his before pulling away.

"If you insist, Phoebe…" Kalon sighed softly and closed his eyes. He didn't really need to rest anymore, but he would pretend if it would appease Phoebe. "Do you have any plans for today?"

She smiled down at him, she put a pillow on her lap and layed his head down in her lap on the pillow.
"I do not, besides stretching out my wings so they don't grow stiff I believe I'm free for most of the day. Well, free but still in bed."

Kalon curled up a bit and sighed, stretching out his own wings as they tried to get comfortable. "Sounds good to me… I suppose I don't have clearance to leave the castle again yet after the incident. Too dangerous or something, yes?"

"Yes, especially not without me." She spoke, trying to remain in a relaxed tone of voice while she spoke. She moved to run her hands through his hair as she spoke to him.

"Mm…" Kalon leaned into Phoebe's touch, humming softly to himself. "For how long? You know that I don't like to be cooped up here for too long."

"I know kalon…when I'm done recovering we can go outside once more okay?" She spoke softly, continuing to massage his head.

"Okay…" Kalon sighed, reluctantly backing off for now. He had a tendency to get restless and bothered if he had to stay inside for too long. They would like to spend more time outside than they already did, actually, but he took what he could get.

"I know you want to explore and be outside to see new things and people, and we will. I promise you. It just takes time."
She spoke softly, making sure not to speak to fast as she massaged his head. She thought about the whole situation for a moment, hoping to sharpen her senses.

"Yeah, I know… I'm just being problematic and difficult again, aren't I?" Kalon sighed softly again, keeping his eyes closed. "Safety should be my top priority, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to be outside. Why do I do this, Phoebe? What made me this way?"

'"You aren't being problematic or difficult kalon. Its okay that you like being outside and exploring. That's just how you were made, and I like that about you as well. I want to help show you the whole world. "
