(Aw, it's okay. I hope you feel better soon. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
Think we should skip? To the flustered scene?)
(Thanks uwu
Yeah sure! Could you go first?)
(Sure.)
Kasey groaned and fell back onto her bed. Barry was coming over today, and she was going to show him her tattoo… On her side… Which meant she had to lift her shirt for him to see it.
Ohgodohgodohogod. Barry ran both hands through his hair, triple-checking his appearance in the mirror. He was going over to Kasey’s. To see her tattoo. Which was under her shirt. Ohgodohgod.
“You look nervous.”, Caleb joked from across the room. “Another date with Kasey?”
Barry shook his head. “Oh god. Okay. I’ll be back in a bit. Wish me luck.” He slipped from the room quickly, hesitating when he stopped in front of her door.
Kasey sighed and fixed her hair, running her fingers through it a few times.
Okay. This is fine. It's whatever. Not that big of a deal. Right? Why is this such a big deal???
Barry raised his hand to knock, them dropped it again.
Ohgodohgodohgod.
He took a deep breath, trying and failing to compose himself, and knocked softly.
Unwilling to get up from her seat at the foot of her bed, Kasey flicked her hand and used her telekinesis to open the door slowly.
"H-hey, Bare," she greeted him with a small smile.
Barry lingered in the doorway, cheeks tinged pink. “H-Hi, Kase.” Unsure what to do, he took a few hesitant steps into the room, shutting the door behind him.
(Sorry, my writing might be crappy right now. I feel really sick…)
"So…" Kasey breathed, blushing as she looked down at her toes. "Why don't you, um, come sit by me…?"
(Aw Sorry, feel better soon ):
Barry’s whole face flushed. Stumbling slightly, he approached her tentatively and sat down on the bed next to her, not meeting her eyes. “Um..”
(Thanks.)
"I really don't want this to be awkward," Kasey blurted suddenly, still not meeting Barry's eyes.
Barry shrank back slightly. "Sorry. I'll stop being.. weird now. I can leave if you want." Anything to make her feel more comfortable.
"No, no! It's not your fault. I'm making this awkward, I'm sorry," Kasey said quickly, shaking her head.
Barry ran a hand through his hair. "I'll need to clean the skin where the tattoo is with a wet washcloth.", he said finally, dodging her earlier statement.
"Okay. I'll get you one, then," Kasey said, standing and making her way to the bathroom. She grabbed a washcloth from the closet and wetted it with warm water, then grabbed a hair binder before heading back to her bed. Sitting down next to Barry again, she held the washcloth out to him. "Here ya go."
"Thanks." Barry took the cloth, hesitating. Ohgodohgodohgodohgod.. "I– I'm– I should probably remove then bandage now.", he managed, heart tattoo still a vibrant shade of pink.
"Sure. Right, yeah," Kasey murmured.
She avoided his gaze as she pulled her shirt up just enough that it was over the tattoo. Using the hair binder, she tied her shirt up on her other side. She leaned back on her hands when she was finished, finally daring to look up at Barry. When she did, she noticed how pink the heart tattoo was, and she smiled a little, knowing what it meant.
Barry caught her smile, which only caused him to redden further. Carefully, he peeled back the bandage to reveal the tattoo, gently dabbing at her hip with the wet washcloth. He made sure that it was only the cloth touching her, not his fingers, but despite his attempts, the gesture felt oddly intimate.
"You know," Kasey started, her voice light as she tried to make it less awkward by joking, "there will probably be a lot of girls who want a tattoo in this spot or ones that could be stranger…"
Barry forced a chuckle, rubbing at her hip with soft, circular movements. "I think this is as far as I'd go for a tattoo, area-wise, and there aren't a lot of girls who I would willingly tattoo at this point."
"But if you were a tattoo artist, you'd have to," Kasey stated, blinking at him once in slight confusion.
"But I'm not, yet. I'm not used to tattooing girls yet, most of the people I've tattooed have been boys." Barry smiled a bit. "The last time I tattooed a girl was maybe…….. a year and a half ago? Yeah, I've got a lot to get used to.
(My mom put some essential oils that are supposed to help with nausea into a diffuser and now my room smells like Fruit Loops…)
"Yeah, you do," Kasey chuckled a bit. "So… Do you give every girl you like a free tattoo in hopes to win their heart?"
(lol
Are they helping at all? Also, ginger-infused water will burn your throat for a few seconds but helps a lot with nausea)
This time, Barry's whole face went red. "Just– just you.", he mumbled, finishing with the cloth. "Do you always convince boys to play cards with you in hopes that they'll fall for you?"
(Well, it really only hurts when I'm upright, so I'm not really sure. I'm feeling a lot better, but I'm not risking it ya know?)
"Convince? Yeah, I totally had to convince you," Kasey teased, blushing lightly. "But, no. I do not play cards with guys, like, ever."
(yeah, get well soon)
Barry's eyebrows shot up. "Never?" He managed a grin, even through his mess of nerves. "I guess that means I must be doing something right." His attention had been diverted completely from her tattoo.
"Well, you just so happened to be here, and we were bored…" Kasey murmured, her blush deepening.
Barry made a fake pouty face. "Aw, I'm hurt, Kase." His eyes kept flicking to her waist, until he eventually couldn't stand it anymore and reached over, pulling the elastic band from her shirt. It fell down, concealing her hip, and he relaxed.
Kasey blinked in surprise when Barry reached over her and pulled the hair binder from her shirt, causing it to fall back down.
"Sorry… I didn't know you were done," she said, rubbing at her other side as she chewed on her lip.
