Species: Currently a Fae
Appearance: Kaz is tall, standing at 6'3" with broad shoulders and a muscular form. He is white, with a light tan and no freckles. His hair is a pure, snowy white, and slightly wavy. It isn't overly long (just long enough to run his hands through when he gets frustrated), or scrape back into the tiniest of low ponytails. His eyes are a frighteningly crimson tone, and his pupils are elongated like a cat's (or a snake's). On both of his forearms are swirling black lines shaped like snakes that have been there since he was born. There is a scar on the left side of his face, going from his jawline up to his cheekbone, stopping just below his eye. There are other scars flecked across his body, from fighting and other things over the years. Has well-defined facial features, with slightly hooded eyes. Occasionally has eyeliner on, specifically for the purpose of drawing even more attention to his eyes. His canines are longer and sharper than a human's. His ears are also pointed at the ends. Also has an old, very faint scar across his throat.
Outfit: Varies, but tends to stick to white button-ups, dark slacks, and some sort of overcoat, typically in red or black with silver accent lining. When fighting, wears a suit of armor. Has been known to strip his shirt off and fight someone right in his own throne room, simply for the dramatics of it (he always wins and the other person always dies). Wears a selection of rings, including his signet ring, and another one that contains poison.

Powers: Can shapeshift between his humanoid form and the form of a massive snake, along with more typical Fae magic. His other piece of magic is the ability to cause pain literally just by looking at someone. This doesn't happen every time he looks at someone, of course; it happens when he wants it to, but it is physically costly for him as well. Often, whatever pain he inflicts on someone else is reflected back on him, though weaker. The only time he can inflict pain without feeling any himself is if the pain is one that he himself has felt before, in this form. Then, and only then, can he inflict it on someone else without feeling phantom pain.
Personality: Kaz is very smart, and has a tendency to be cruel and a touch sadistic. He doesn't tend to care for anyone but himself, and will do whatever he can to obtain and keep power and control over others. He is cunning, and very good at planning for the future. Has a vengeful streak, which he uses practically whenever he wishes to. Despite all this, he can be a good and kind person when he wishes to be, and often is to the very, very few people that he cares about. Has experienced a lot of dark and painful things throughout his incarnations, and this has a tendency to be reflected in his words and actions. Very much has the mentality of "the world has not been kind to me, so why should I be kind to it?". Also has a tendency to drink when left alone with his thoughts for too long.
Backstory: (note: backstory is for this form only) Kaz was born to a poorer family in a small town, and was shunned pretty much from birth for the marks on his forearms, which are not normal even among Fae. His eyes are rare, but happen often enough to be excusable. The marks, though, were clearly unnatural. When he was young, the other children in the village would often bully him mercilessly. Even his own parents became abusive, and he was regularly abused. This became especially true as his less normal abilities surfaced, and his parents tried many terrible methods to try and rid their son of the abilities. They hated him, but couldn't get rid of him, though they did try. The scar on his throat is from when his own mother tried to slit his throat in his sleep when he was 8 years old. He survived, but the abuse continued to be awful. He ran away from home at 12 years old, and wandered homeless for a number of years. He originally started out as a low-level crime member, and clawed his way through the ranks to become a leader in the organization. From there, he was able to worm his way into ever more power, through the same cruel, merciless methods. He fought his way to becoming a king, and was king for a number of years. Then his country was attacked, and he was taken as a prisoner of war. He was kept as prisoner for a long time, and didn't see the sun for 15-20 years. He was tortured rather extensively in this time, and when he made his escape slaughtered everyone in the surrounding area. He took back his kingdom, and rapidly expanded to become one of the largest empires in history. He has a wife, though he doesn't care very much for her.
