"Yep! I think you'll enjoy my costume. Everyone else does." She smiled, grabbed her keys, and headed for the door.
"Yep! I think you'll enjoy my costume. Everyone else does." She smiled, grabbed her keys, and headed for the door.
“Oh, I’m sure I’d enjoy youbwithout he costume, anyway. Actually, I know I would,” Sterling teased as he followed her out, quickly snatching his keys from beside the door.
"Yeah yeah, just watch before you say that love." She rolled her eyes with a smile. "By the way, Taylor is my friend, she works as the bartender and Roxanne is the stage manager for the girls."
Sterling chuckled. “Oh? All right, thanks for the info. You’ll have to give me directions to where we’re going,” he said as they reached his car.
"Seriously? It's kind of hard to miss it. It's literally directly across town."
“Well, I don’t come here often… Or ever. I don’t know where anything is, babe,” Sterling chuckled.
"You've never been to Olympus? Where, and I quote from the motto, the gods reward their believers with drinks and girls of their own design."
Sterling snorted and rolled his eyes. “No, love, I have not. That honestly isn’t usually my kinda thing.”
"Shocker. But still, I have to get going so let's go!" She hopped in quickly, praying that Roxanne wouldn't yell at her for being late.
(cough)
(Hey. Sorry.)
“Yeah, yeah. I’m working on it,” Sterling chuckled as he slid into his car. He closed the door behind himself and started the car up. “All right. Which direction?”
"That way, my good man!" She pointed in the direction, a slight smile tugging at her lips.
Sterling chuckled and started to drive in the direction she had pointed. “So… What, exactly, will you be doing?”
"Just working my shift like usual." She shrugged. "A mixture of waiting on tables and up on stage."
“Hm… Sounds… interesting,” Sterling mused. “Don’t forget about our deal tonight, though. No touching.”
"No promises. Besides, I think my little character might have more of an affect on you than you want to admit." She winked with a chuckle.
Sterling raised an eyebrow at her before turning his attention back to the road. “Character? Hm, well if she’s not you then we should have a problem, should we?”
"I like to consider her a character. She's very flirty and fun, loves to tease people, I just love her. She seems innocent but she really isn't."
“Hm… This is going to be a very interesting night, isn’t it?” Sterling mused.
"Interesting for you, just a normal run of the mill shift for me."
Sterling hummed and nodded. “Where’s my next turn?”
"Um…this one. To the right." She went over her routine in her head. This was going to be fun. She could already feel her heart beating to the bass of the music and the cool, calm confidence of knowing what she was doing and how to get people to feel just what she wanted them to.
Sterling took the turn and hummed a little to the song in his head. “So, what kinds of people show up here?”
"Mostly guys. I see a lot of guys from on campus. Yeah, sexual harassment in the workplace is pretty normal. Whether it just comments or someone actually laying their hands on the dancers, it's more common than you'd like to believe."
“Oh, wonderful. I might have to protect my girlfriend from pervs, then,” Sterling muttered under his breath.
"More than likely." She sat back. "This is where I tell you that you really should've read the job description before you took it."
“Hey, I’m not going to let anything happen to you, all right? And that includes me coming with you right now.”
She smiled softly, leaning over and kissing his cheek. A wave of realization passed over her. "Ah shit. Whatever. I'm not surprised." She laughed.
Sterling huffed a laugh and he turned to look at her with a raised eyebrow. "What do you say we don't count that, hm?"
"But that's not the rules. You made the rules, might as well respect them."
