Darius' morning started with a bang. Literally. He was awoken by his partner Leonell Garsis, who had tripped over something in the bedroom. Leo gave Darius an awkward smile, understanding what he had done. Darius got out of bed and walked right over him. He went to dress up and headed out. The day had started, so had Darius.ll The breeze was amazing and the birds were chirping. Darius enjoyed the free time that he got. He usually was doing his job as witch hunter. Though it was a paying job, it was extremely time consuming, always needing to be alert and awake.

The day had started strong but was starting to slow. When Leo caught to Darius they started to chat. "Good morning Darius." Leo said sheepishly. "G'morning Leo." Darius mumbled.

Darius was a bit bored of prancing around like a fawn that was exploring the new world. That was what he always does. Walk around until either he gets a report of a suspicious person or if he spotted something, but not today. Today was a day where time went slow.
Darius noticed that Leo was staring at him. "Ya got a problem?" Darius looked over to Leonell. "Why do you carry that sword around? I mean, That specific type? Why not a long sword?" Leo was a little Hyper at the moment. "Please. It'll get more done then your Kunai's… I was taught by my father. He was a master swordsman. A man of dexterity…" There were a few seconds of silence. "He died in a tavern. Too bad, so sad. Though I got his sword. It helps me when I face a foe with no magic. With witches you use your wit and be ready for anything." Leo nodded. "Alright. I'll head to the tavern." Darius shook his head and walked away.

Nothing interesting happened for the remainder of the day.

Near the end of the day Darius was tired… of nothing. He decided to head to a tavern to drink a little. He entered the tavern and looked around. It was packed, seemed to be no seats to sit in. None except one. There seemed to be a woman with playing cards, shuffling them but no more than that. He decided to approach her. "Hello." He said, smiling warmly. "How are you on this fine day?" He said, taking his sword off his back and putting next to him to sit down. "May I?"

Aurora looked up from her cards as a man sat at her table. She observed him, his outfit, the sword. She knew immediately who he was. Well, more like what he was. A Witch Hunter. Someone who hunted her, people like her. This was dangerous to have him sit at her table and drink and gamble with him. But it would be even more suspicious if she ignored him and turned him away. So instead of saying what she wanted to, she simply smiled at the man.

"Please, take a seat," she gestured at the seat. "I'm doing quite well." She wasn't not doing quite well. In fact, she was barely holding it together. Whether it was the anticipation of her plans for later in the night or pent-up frustrations of the acts of her family, she was certainly not alright. "I'm Aurora, and you are?"

Perhaps it wasn't the smartest thing to give him her real name but the damage was done and it was too late to take it back. The best thing she could do was play things cool. He didn't know anything about her. He wasn't suspicious of her. She was safe. She didn't need to act like a wounded dog. he wasn't here for her. He was here for a drink and perhaps a simple game of cards. She might even be able to win a few gold coins from him before she had to leave.

"Would you like to play a game? I'll even let you pick which game." The trick was that she was good at all of them. She kept herself occupied as a child by playing with cards. When she was old enough, she came to the taverns and learned to be good at the games, she learned how to control her poker face. She only turned her head away as a waitress approached to take the man's drink order.
