"No, I don't want you to exhaust yourself. I just have to think about this again." but Ryker was a little stuck. Better, maybe, to have Kaylum teleport in, and prepare Nik? That way they could grab him and go?

@Tired-but-passionate

“No, no,” he insisted. “I can just eat a lot of food and drink a lot of water, and that can probably give me enough energy to do it twice.” He scratched at his head, then ran his hands through his locs.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Are you sure about that? I dno't want to overtax your body and then make it harder for us to get away from here." he said in reply, staring at Kaylum and trying to analyze him, make sure that Kaylum was serious and that this was actually going to go well.

(ghbdjbjb hello uh-)

Ryker just listened and kept an eye on Kaylum, listening to the dragon shifter and trying to let the other make the decision on his own, but also not wanting to make a plan that then had to change in the middle of a situation that was destined to be a stressful mess as it was. Part of his worry about this was about Nik's curse. Who knew how threadbare the other man's control over that would be now? If, indeed, he had already lost control, then what had happened with that? But there was no way to know until they had Nik back.

He got tired of sitting down and staying still, so he got up and started walking around, thinking. “Well—” he started again. “I can… I can eat and drink to prepare, and then once I’ve got him, I can shift into dragon form and escape? As a dragon I can conserve energy better so I won’t tire out as quickly. I can carry all of you too.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Ryker nodded a little. "Maybe… but I do not want you responsible for carrying everyone. And…" his gaze flicked to Aron and Lieze, both of whom had bristled at the idea.

"I would rather die." Lieze said. "i will not," she looked at Kaylum, "be carried by a dragon. I would rather be killed." her hand had fallen to the grip on her sword, tightening around it.

Aron put a hand on her shoulder, touch light. "YOu won't be." he reassured her gently, glancing over at the others with a faint note of worry in his eyes.

Seeing the others, he raised his hands up. “Alright, alright. It was just an idea. I don’t have to carry everyone then, I could just carry Nik.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Ryker nodded. "Carry Nikolas, then. He will need it." he wasn't sure what condition the prince was in, but he knew that it would be nothing good. The way Seren had treated Kaylum had been horrid; his feelings towards NIkolas were personal, and would undoubtedly be worse than what he had allowed to happen to the dragon shifter.

@Tired-but-passionate

“Okay.” He let out a breath. “Then, could I have some more food and water please, if that’s alright? I’ll have to start now.”
He wasn’t completely sure if this would work, the situation was just too unfamiliar with a lot of unknown factors. But they had to try something, right? They couldn’t wait, or else it would be too late.
