Alora tried biting back her amusement but she wasn't doing a very good job of it. She managed to hold back the laugh building in her stomach but she couldn't hide the smile. She paused in spinning her blade so she wouldn't slice her hand open in her distraction.

"Oh, you're Rhinacules? I couldn't tell. Not one bit. I think you could get by without anyone noticing you." She could just imagine him stepping foot into the palace, as if he would get that far, and all hell breaking loose. All the while Alora was watching gleefully from he side. If his death wouldn't cause her own she would have been tempted to try it. But then again, if their souls weren't tied together, she would have killed him long before now.

She watched him with a close eye as he clasped his cloak around himself and let down his hair. She felt her breath catch in her chest as she watched him. She forced her head to turn forward, silently cursing herself. She didn't understand why she was reacting this way. He was the enemy. And yet she couldn't help that her body felt some sort of for him.

It hurt, knowing that she was betraying Eric. Even if she wasn't physically doing anything, the very thoughts flooded her with guilt. She swallowed and sighed, spinning her blade once more.

"I can hide you just beyond the city. I can slip into the palace and be out before anyone even knows. No one will bat an eye about me walking into the palace. Most of my brothers probably won't be home and if my father notices, I'll entertain him for a moment and then be on my way. He's never kept me longer than necessary."

Myahil fought hard not to scowl at her obvious amusement. The fact that she stopped spinning her knife told him that she was fighting it hard, which doubtlessly meant that she wanted to laugh. That only pissed him off more.

“Insufferable bitch,”he hissed in the Rhinacules language. The words were gutteral hisses accented by deep chirps, a language that was near impossible to understand if one didn’t know how to translate it.

He felt her eyes on him as he adjusted his appearance. On one hand, it irritated him even more. But, on the other, the temptation to preen hit him like a brick. Why? Why did he want to flaunt himself around this unbearable woman?

It took all he had to not go through with the temptation. He might secretly crave the affections of a woman, but he would not allow himself to entertain his enemy. He’d rather stick a blade through her heart now and put both of them out of their misery. Or did he?

His confusing thoughts were interrupted by her words. The sheer audacity of this woman! How could she be so idiotic? ‘Hide him’? How could she hide him when he stood out even among his own kind? He might be able to pass as human, but his features were hard to forget, regardless of where he was.

“No,”he stated firmly, leaving no room for argument.

He quickened his pace, his body tense from the whirlwind of emotions coursing through him. He wanted the peace and quiet again. Unfortunately, that wouldn’t be happening ever again unless they miraculously found a cure to their damned soul bond.
