Cas cuddled up to Nick as well, sighing softly and closing his eyes. Soon after, his breathing evened out, and he seemed to have fallen asleep.
Nick smiled wearily at Cas’s slumbering form. He soon drifted off as well, glad that Cas was with him once again even though Nick was worried about him.
Cas slept deeply through the night; he was exhausted, after all. He awoke in the morning and snuggled closer to Nick for warmth, yawning a bit.
Nick was the type to sleep late unless he knew he had something to do, so he was still asleep when Cas woke up, snoring softly.
"Mmmm… Nick…?" Cas asked, his voice cracking from sleep. He yawned again and poked Nick's cheek. "Nick? Wake up…" He whined. "I need attention…"
Nick wasn’t exactly a light sleeper, so all he did was continue snoring. He didn’t even stir.
"Niiiick!" Cas huffed, shaking him. "Pay attention to meeee! I'll throw up again, just you watch!"
Nick stirred this time, groaning. “What?” he asked, his voice heavy with sleep.
"Love meeee…" Cas hugged Nick tightly and kept huffing indignantly.
Nick blinked, still not fully awake. He wrapped his arms around Cas with a sleepy smile. “That can be arranged,” he mumbled in a half-awake but still somewhat of a smart-ass tone.
Cas rolled his eyes, but decided against addressing Nick's tone. "I'm starving… quite literally. I just dunno if I can eat without it coming back up."
“Well, you could try a small bite of something easy to digest, like a roll or cracker,” Nick suggested, slowly coming awake.
"I guess… do we have anything around?" Cas asked, looking up at Nick again.
“If you don’t mind a slightly stale roll from last night, then yes,” Nick said, leaning into Cas. “Or I might have a few crackers in my desk drawer. I squirreled away quite a few.”
"I don't really care at this point, honestly…" Cas glanced over at the side table. He still seemed weak and lethargic, but at least he was conscious.
“Okay, I’ll get a couple of crackers,” Nick said, rolling over and getting out of the bed. He went to his desk and opened one of the drawers, grabbing a few crackers and coming back. “Ta-da.”
"Thanks, love…" Cas accepted the crackers and nibbled on one of them. "Now come cuddle with meeee… it's cold in here without you."
“I only got up like thirty seconds ago,” Nick complained, getting back in bed and wrapping his arms around Cas nonetheless.
"But I neeeeed you…" Cas whined, cuddling close to Nick. He kept nibbling on his crackers while they cuddled.
Nick smiled. “Okay,” he responded with a bit of humor in his voice.
Cas ate slowly despite how hungry he was, knowing it would all come back up if he scarfed it all down. Eventually, he'd successfully finished the crackers.
Nick positively beamed. “Do you feel okay?” he asked Cas.
"I think so, yeah, but I wouldn't consider myself in the clear yet." He huddled closer to Nick and tucked his head under the other's chin.
“Well, I hope that you can hold this down,” Nick said, running one of his hands through Cas’s hair.
"Me too…" Cas relaxed and yawned when Nick started petting him, clearly liking the contact.
“I’m so glad you’re here,” Nick added.
"Mm… why?" He asked. "I've done nothing but cause you stress and trouble."
“Cas, I’ll tell you this as many times as it takes until you stop saying stuff like that,” Nick responded. “I love you. And being able to be with you is worth it.”
Cas blushed a bit and looked down guiltily. "Sorry, love… I mean, thank you- I love you too."
“You’re welcome,” Nick responded, pecking the other boy on the cheek. “I’ll always be here for you.”
