I crept down the stairs, practically tiptoeing not to make a sound. I finally reach the dining room, the stench of cigars and unwashed dishes fill the room. I wince at the peeling paint that was once so vibrant and bright. The old trophies dad had won were displayed on a shelf for all to see. The white bag I left on the brown table was untouched. I walk over and grab it. I think I'm in the clear

The rain had begun to pour outside, and a strike of thunder followed suit. I sat alone in the mansion, unsure of whether I should leave or not, given that this wasn't my home, and yet I was here anyway. "I think I'd better wait for the rain to stop… I don't wanna get soaked." Candlelight was the only thing lighting the room, other than the lightning striking miles past. I looked around the room, then muttered, "Yeah… I'd better stay here a little longer."

"Ask yourself: which body are you in today." The shadow jeered, looming over me
My limbs were rooted to the ground, I could only face this thing. Its presence alone sucked the color out the room, What was once a welcome entrance with bright beige walls, a coat hanger greeting me, and the vibrate street light becoming a mirage as it meets the mosaic glass was now polluted my shadows

"Well what's your answer?" the shadow said with a chuckle before kneeling over me
"I don't know… Mine!" I choked out, pulling myself up
"You poor fool…" The shadow simpered before poking me

The girl leaned in closer to the male. Nobody knew the names of these two, nor did anyone know… them. They were like ghosts floating around amidst the living. Nobody could see them, nobody could hear them, nobody could feel them. "H-huh?" the male said, a faint dark-blue tinge of blush spreading on his face, his eyes widened. The female began to speak. "I…I…"

Where am I! This isn't my idea of fun. I kick around the sandbox getting some wooden chips in my shoes, some piercing my feet. It was only me and the playground. Its color has all been sucked out. The stair was packed with dirt and eroded away, The rest was just sat there frozen as darkness surrounds it

He pulled the scissor out with brute force, causing a spray of blood to shower over him as a result. As he pulled out the scissors, he leaned his head to the side. "Mmh…" His blank stare pierced the eyes of anyone who dared look at him. The fear he shook has no bounds, he even seemed to be able to pull one over on the fearless.

Everything I once was was shattered by you, There's nothing for you to come back to. I'm just a doll perched on a stool. I'm only alive in body, forced to dress up in dense and stuffy outfits for your amusement. Please just leave I do want you back

Her heart was empty and cold, broken far too many times for her frail mind, her eyes a lifeless black.
"Why do you help me?" she asked, clutching her bag like it was her lifeline. For one moment her vacant expression had some form of life. "Why do you-" Her voice faltered as his hand gently caressed her cheek, and he gave a smile as gentle as his hand, his usual cheeky smirk gone.
"Are you sure if I tell you why, you can understand it?"
She didn't answer.

The stars spiraled across the sky as a web of clouds set the stage. I hit the gas, let go and feel the wind blow through my hair. The moon is high in the sky, but it's not too bright. It doesn't hurt to look at it right now. A blur of forests and hills, trees swaying gently in the breeze. I'm only accompanied by the power lines that pass me by.

Another school year had gone by in its full chaotic glory - filled with excited chatter, light arguing, loud laughter, along with the occasional drama. And through all of the turbulent changes of puberty, the classroom stayed the same - brown desks full of half-written love confessions, stubby pencils and eraser shavings, the bulletin board covered in club notices and school announcements, the old blue curtains left open to reveal the rain and shine.
But now the students were gone, and the classroom was at peace, always ready for the next school year.

The buzzing of the street lamps echoes across the street, I marched up the stairs that became a canvas for graffiti with a lantern in hand, The light was cast on the middle of the colorless stair. The sunset dyed the sky as the clouds glide against the sky
