Basically it's a mashup of a bunch of marvel stuff, with a big purple guy looking for rocks. My brother and dad are probably both going to watch it once it comes to our library, but I've seen a bunch of spoilers and am scared to watch it.

Yeah. The purple guy is Thanos and there were already a ton of comics on him and the Infinity Stones. He wants to wipe out an entire half of the human population.
