Jin nodded a little, and started working on cutting the carrot on his own, focusing his attention back on the vegetables. He pursed his lips in concentration, clearing his throat softly. "Your Levia is very…inquisitive." he commented as he worked.

"She didn't interrogate you, did she?" Miyaki asked, slumping slightly and letting out a tired sigh mixed with a fond laugh, all in one breath of air. Grabbing her own knife, she began cutting other vegetables, hands moving expertly and making quick work of cutting them.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Ehh…just a little." Jin replied with a chuckle. "Mostly about "what are your intentions with her" and "don't let her get hurt" and stuff like that." he shrugged slightly, and continued to work on cutting the vegetables, knife slicing easily through them.

"Levia!" Miyaki spun around, shooting a look at the older Fae, who shrugged innocently. "Not everyone I meet is planning on using me for nefarious purposes. Believe me, I made sure of that before bringing him here."

"You can never be too careful, mitita. Especially with Night Fae, because it is not exactly a secret they do not like us much. I like this one though." She said, pointing at Jin and winking before turning back to her cooking. "Very good looking. Helps that he has money."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jin raised his eyebrows. "So my only redeeming factors are good-looking and rich? Way to boost a guys confidence." he remarked with a laugh, and kept working on the vegetables. "I'll make sure not to lose either of those."

@croccin-champagne

Miyaki shook her head, returning to her vegetables. "You're good at the chopping. There's a factor. You're sweet, when you aren't around anyone you need to put on a show for. You glow in the moonlight like you were born straight from the moon herself, and your eyes do this thing…it's hard to explain, but they look like stars. You love your people and culture, too. There are plenty other factors. Being good looking is just a bonus for everyone around you."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jin paused for a moment, staring at her and blinking. "I…was not expecting a long string of compliments, Miyaki." he said slowly. "I…" he wasn't quite sure what to say in response. He really had no idea.

@croccin-champagne

Miyaki looked up from her knife, blinking once, before her cheeks darkened as she realized what exactly she'd just done. "Oh. Uh, sorry, I-didn't mean to ramble like that, but-they're all true." She admitted softly, reaching up to tug a hand through her hair.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jin gave a faint smile. "It's alright." He replied. "Don't worry about it." He shrugged slightly, and looked over at her carefully. "I just…I don't usually get compliments."

@croccin-champagne

Miyaki looked back down at her knife, continuing to cut vegetables as she spoke, cheeks red. “You don’t? I’d have figured the High Lord would get plenty. Both as the High Lord and just as a person.” She mused, attempting to blow her hair out of her face with a huff of breath. “But you should get more. There’s a lot to compliment.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Nope." Jin replied with a shrug. "Compliments aren't really…common, at least in my court. You compliment someone if you want to butter them up and make them listen to you, make them more likely to say yes to your request. Other than that…" he shrugged again.

@croccin-champagne

"That's…that's too bad." Miyaki said, brows pulling together in a slightly adorable frown. Her thinking face. Scheming might have been more appropriate, actually. "You deserve an entire book full of compliments, with no intention of buttering added."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jin shrugged a little. "If you say so." He replied with a soft laugh. He kept working on the vegetables again, not looking at Miyaki. "Besides. I don't really deserve a bunch of compliments."

@croccin-champagne

"That's bullshit." Miyaki grumbled, shaking her head as she moved on to a new task. "You deserve so many of them." She wasn't entirely sure where the vehemence and surety in that statement came from, but she believed it fullheartedly.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jin shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe so." he replied, and continued to work on the vegetables. He sighed softly, running a hand through his hair. He glanced over at Miyaki for just a moment, then away again.
