Miyaki Tinuviel is a changeling. Miyaki Tinuviel is a Halfblood. But more importantly, Miyaki Tinuviel is a Night Fae, a shadow-wielder, living in the midst of the Dawn Court. And she has absolutely no clue.

Miyaki is well aware of the fact that she's a changeling. Both the Inner and Outer Court, along with every Fae she's ever met, love to remind her of that fact. That she's human. That she doesn't belong with them, or in their 'world'. But she's there anyway, under the protection of the Dawn Court's High Lady. And the Fae know better than to defy the High Lady's wishes, no matter how badly they hate humans. Not unless they never want to see the light of day again.

Her world is thrown upside down when the High Lord of the Night Court shows up, as part of some diplomatic visit before the Solstice Ball, and recognizes what she is. The offspring of the most powerful threat to the human and Fae worlds, and quite possibly the only being with any chance of stopping, or winning, the impending war.

With the Courts in fractured disarray, and the human world about the same, Miyaki knows that the right thing to do is help. But why help either of them, when neither world is one she belongs in, when neither has accepted her? Is she supposed to help the people and creatures who have no place for her?

Or is she supposed to help her mother destroy both, to rebuild from scratch a world that would accept people like her.

  1. No OP characters, or I will yeet your ass outta here before you can say 'this bitch empty'. I can't stand invincible characters, man.

  2. Proper grammar, punctuation, and capitalization, please. I can get making a few mistakes, when you're tired, or English ain't your first language(It's mine, and even I have my issues), but if it's too common a thing, it irks the hell outta me. Call me a bitch, but hey.

  3. Slurs, homophobia, transphobia, rascism, sexism, anything that ends in -ism and that harms or promotes the harm of other people will not be tolerated. See my first threat.

  4. Detailed-ish responses, please. Think three or more sentences. To keep it going.

  5. Please, be on fairly often. Vacations, school, and jobs are all things I can get, but I'd like for this to have a regular pace!

  6. Rated Spicey for just that, Spicey things. Whether it be mature topics, smexy things, or, gasp, blood, this is the only warning I'll remember to give.

  7. I have the full right to add and edit this list. I also have the right to boot you if you're causing too many problems.

It's your dude, back with another fucking roleplay that may or may not look similar to quite a few of my other roleplays. Shhhhhhh

Information necessary: The Fae can't lie, only manipulate the truth.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(oh my gawd this is such an awesome idea but…I'm already in three RPs with you lol. Def stalking though, whether or not you'd let me join, bc this is awesome)

(you dont have to let me join or whatevs im just saying this looks awesome)

@ElderGod-Icefire

Lol alright, awesome! Can I ask for more info about who you want me to be? I'm assuming the high lord of the Night Court, but like… anything else i should know lol

@croccin-champagne

Honestly, that's entirely up to you. Beyond being the High Lord, and the character obviously recognizing Miyaki as Night Fae as well, I kind of left that up to whoever joined, in this case, you!

@croccin-champagne

All I've got so far is that it's her mother, a powerful Halfblood as well, who has gotten ahold of an item that enhances her abilities so much that she could and plans to literally raise an army of the dead to take over.

Also, do you want a temp, or would you rather jump in? I've got a sort of appearance in mind for Miyaki, but not much beyond that.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alright lol

Ooh okay! Thanks! i have no reference I don't even have a name lol also i might head to bed sooner or later. Since I moved, im not three hours ahead of where I used to be lol

@croccin-champagne

I should hit the hay soon too. I'll post a starter in the morning? Or I guess my morning, anyway. Feel free to bump when you wake up, that way it's in my notifs.

@croccin-champagne

"Why would you invite him here?"

"I didn't. He asked, and I accepted. Miyaki, this is my Court. I decide what is best for it, and at this moment, smoothing anything needed over with the High Lord is what I think is best."

Miyaki dragged a hand through her hair, the uncooperative blue locks just becoming more of a mess with the movement. Of course, her High Lady was right. Alina Vinsian usually was. But that didn't mean Miyaki wasn't wary of the decision, particularly because if there were two Courts that had the worst history together, it was the Dawn and Night Courts, known for constant struggles with even the most basic diplomacy. And now, they were supposed to house one of the Night Fae, the most important of the Night Fae, right here?

It seemed kind of crazy, to say the least.

"I'm just-are you one hundred percent sure? Alina, don't get me wrong, you're an amazing leader, and to be honest, the only Faerie in your Court with any common sense, but…what if this is some ploy?" Miyaki shrugged her shoulders, the light fabric of her 'dress' shifting and drawing an obvious contrast with her darker skin. Skin that had, on occasion, drawn her unwelcome comments from the mostly light-skinned Dawn Fae. Human skin, unnatural, and many other, far worse insults.

"Miyaki, I understand your worry." Alina sighed, her golden hair catching the light as she rose from her throne, to place her hands on the changeling's shoulders. "But things need to change, and this is the best step to take. He'll be here any minute, anyway. So it's not like I could suddenly say no, if I for some reason wanted to. Don't worry, my friend. Everything will be fine. Besides, maybe you'll hit it off with one of his entourage." Her eyes, a gold that was brighter than her hair, sparkled mischievously. That had been an ongoing theme recently, the High Lady attempting to set up her friend and changeling with anyone she deemed worthy. Sweet, but also slightly odd for Miyaki, who had never had a single date or otherwise turn out well. One can always hope, I guess.

Jin elbowed Morrigan gently. "Mor, you need to be quiet. Keep your mouth shut while we are in there." He instructed. Then he signalled for the doors to be opened. He made his grand entrance in true Night Fae style; a black cloak that looked woven of starlight, a white shirt that glimmered like the moon, pants the color of the blackest midnight. A sword, shimmering, hanging from a belt at his side. A silver crown that looked almost delicate perched upon unruly waves of black hair, that framed a narrow, sharp edges face, the lips of which were drawn back in an almost smirking smile. He gave Alina a small bow, the type required of a ruler visiting another. "Fair greetings, queen of the Dawn." He said.

Morrigan followed him inside, just behind. The female Fae had bright red hair that was curled around her head in a braid, and an athletic body. She too was dressed similarly to Jin, although a little less grandly.

@croccin-champagne

High Fae and their dramatic entrances. Miyaki thought to herself, moving aside. Alina's friendly openness had dropped just as the doors open, the expression saved only for her closest friends and family. Instead, her smile was polite, if just a tad cold. Like the chilliness of the morning at dawn, in fact.

"And to you as well, king of Night." The High Lady greeted, returning the bow. Swathed in robes of shimmering and light oranges, yellows, gold and pinks, she looked like a walking colored sky. "I hope your travels were well and safe."

Miyaki wasn't sure how she did it. It seemed so tedious, and every little imperfection seemed so easy to point out. That was how most of the Fae she had met worked. You could be as polite as you wanted, but if they felt you were below them, nothing you did could protect you from harsh words. The markings on her face were always one of the favorites to point out. It's lucky Alina doesn't seem to have any imperfections, then. Smart of her, hiding them like she does.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jin nodded. "Oh, they were. I trust your court has been well and good?" His hands were by his sides. The sharp, pointed ears of the Fae were visible, the tips peeking up in his hair. Like any other Fae, he had a sharp and ready tongue, though he would not yet use it. His eyes landed on the girl near Alina, and he raised his eyebrows slightly. "Ah, i see you have taken in a changeling. How…interesting." he almost purred, tipping his head slightly as his eyes raked over Alina. "Your court isnt exactly…known for it's inclusitivity, but i suppose you make exceptions." His smile turned into a little more of a smirk.

@croccin-champagne

"Oh, yes, all has been as well as it can be." Alina said, nodding. When he mentioned Miyaki, she almost seemed to shift just a fraction of an inch closer to the changeling, her expression growing wary.

Miyaki, however, had no such issues. Her eyes narrowed as she arched a brow, crossing her arms under her chest. Despite not having much of a home here, she had grown up in the Dawn Court, and a Night Fae coming in and bashing her High Lady's Court wasn't exactly something that made her happy. She opened her mouth to say something, the stud on her tongue catching the light with a flash, but Alina shot her a warning look.

"My mother took in the changeling just before the Sickness took her, and she was raised like my sister." Alina explained, her smile softening for just a split second. The Fae aged at the same rate as humans, up until they essentially turned nineteen, at which point the aging process began to slow. That explained how Alina and Miyaki looked so close in age, the latter only being around twenty, and the former having at least a hundred years under her belt. "My Court may not be as welcoming, but she is one of us, as far as I am concerned."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Jin's eyes flashed to Miyaki, his eyes examining her in an almost predatory way. "I see." He said slowly. "So you would only be welcoming to her. Any other changeling you would not go near." He flashed a grin, then shook his head slightly. He looked to be only in his mid twenties, but in reality he was far, far older, older even than Alina. He chuckled softly, and said something to Morrigan.

Morrigan raised an eyebrow, glancing at Miyaki with disdain, then back at Jin. "As you say." She merely said, face returning to expressionless.

Jin looked at Alina and Miyaki again. "In any case. I had something to discuss with…" He trailed off, a bolt of realization flickering through him, though it didn't show on his features. She can't be! He turned to Morrigan again, speaking in a low, hurried tone.

Morrigan looked at Miyaki for a second time, raising her eyebrows and looking at her with a gaze that seemed to pierce through the heart of Miyaki. "My lord…I cannot tell." She said.

@croccin-champagne

Miyaki, to say the least, was confused. The wrinkle inbetween her brows proved that, as she looked between the visiting High Lord and his companion. He had been looking at her, and then something happened. Shaking off her curiosity, knowing it only ever cause problems with the Fae, she looked to Alina, who looked just as confused as she did. Well, not exactly, but to someone who knew her, it was obvious in her little ticks. "Well, I'll leave you to your discussions. I should go find Aster, anyway."

"Yes, yes, of course." Alina nodded, her voice sounding just a bit far away as she watched Jin carefully, before looking at Miyaki. "Do ask him about my music box, when you find him? Quite the tendency to get distracted, that man has."

"Will do. Send for me if you need me." Those were Miyaki's parting words, as she slipped past the visitors, accidentally brushing Jin on her way and pausing to apologize, before continuing.
