“Strategies are for cowards. We plunge into battle like men.” Shadul grunted, readying her axe as she heard the thunderous steps of the orc army over the horizon.

“Oh hell, I’m gonna die here,” Myrin muttered. She was trapped in a rickety inn with a bunch of crazies who apparently had a death wish. Resigned, she withdrew her shiny new knife and sighed. She really did not want to die here, but what other choice did she have. Ah well, she’d had a good run.

@Yamatsu

"Hell yeah!" Yama bellowed before spreading his wings and shooting into the air. The orcs had almost reached the town wall when he leveled Ignis and Agni at the horde. Each gun rang out in turn, the orcs had no idea what was happening until some of their number fell off of their mounts without heads or limbs.

Slipping out the front door, Myrin swiveled her head back and forth in hope of finding a way to escape without having to fight. Those hopes were dashed when she heard a low growl behind her. She spun around and slashed her knife across the orc’s throat, green blood bubbling over the blade. As her attacker dropped to the dirt, she slowly backed away. Myrin has never taken another life before, and it felt like a burning coal had lodged itself in her chest.

Divine danced through the ranks of the orcs, clawing at them with careful precision. They looked like they were having a grand ol' time as they killed the people in front of them.

@PuffPoff

Caspian stared at her sickle for a few seconds, then shook her head and tied it to her belt. She grinned to herself, pointing a finger at the closest patch of muddy swamp water. "Let's do this the fun way."
The water she pointed to started rippling gently. Then it erupted, creating a small geyser that took the form of Caspian's hand. She curled her own fingers into a fist, and as she did the water hand did the same.
She hurled the murky fist into the back of one of the orcs, doing a lot more damage to it than normal water would do.

Shadul fought like an orc. She really did. She swung her axe recklessly and with the aggression of a raging beast, the double blades lobbing off chunks of orc’s bodies, whether it be limbs or heads. This must be where her muscle was from. Shadul stumbled backwards after a few minutes, bleeding from her arm and slightly winded. Not that she was finished, of course.

Yama's gunning spree was shortlived. Despite his guns having more ammo than a standard six-shooter (a spring-loaded clip in the back fed ammo into the cylinder, giving around 20 shots each), he soon ran out. Unfortunately, the orcs had plenty of arrows and even a couple wielding makeshift blunderbusses, a fact he understood when a cloud of grapeshot nearly shredded his left wing.

"Ah shit, I forgot the Powder Horn!" he cried, realizing that his only means of producing more ammunition was sitting in his armory and not on his hip like always. Retrieving it and creating more ammo would take too much time. "Fuck it, I guess we're skipping to the good shit."

Casting Ignis and Agni aside, he focused his mind on an old friend from his armory. Once he realized that he got their attention, he placed two talons in his mouth and gave a sharp whistle, high enough to pierce the noise of battle. A black shape exploded from the ground, knocking an orc off of his mount and soaring high into the air and into Yama's arms. Unfortunately, Ferrenom was quite heavy, meaning that they collided with Yama's chest and knocked him back down to solid ground.

"Shit, you're heavy!" the Half-Dragon groaned, forcing a heavy ball of black iron(?) off of him. The ball barked in reply, opening its terrifying maw of exposed, shiny, triangular teeth to reveal a fat, pink tongue. "No, no, no no nononono–AUGHPTHT! Stop licking! We have to fight, you dope!"

@GoblinKing

“What the hell?” Shadul was soon next to Yama, swinging her axe n the direction of a small cluster of orcs. She eyed the ball suspiciously. “The fuck is that, Yama?”

Shadul grabbed a fallen (but still alive) orc by the hair, yanking his head up before raising her axe and taking it clean off. She tied the severed head to her belt. “I don’t trust it.”

@GoblinKing

“…I don’t.” Shadul backed up, trying to focus on the battle at hand instead of the thing’s incredibly large teeth. The head swung at her side as she moved. “I don’t know how you can- shit!
She fell back, a spear piercing through her calf. “Fucking goddammit!”

@Yamatsu

Ferrenom growled and pounced onto the orc that stabbed her, sinking its massive teeth over his head and halfway down his torso, cleanly biting off the top third of the orc's body. It shook the body, spraying blood and muscle everywhere, and orcs that saw what happened to their brother decided to go loot and pillage where the people didn't have metal attack dogs.

Yama stood up and grabbed the end of the long chain attached to Ferrenom's body, and its eyes grew glassy and its mouth closed like steel gates.

"Hang on, I'll clear the way!" Yama shouted, swinging Ferrenom over his head with his feet planted. Ferrenom's body crashed into orcs, shattering bones and destroying organs as with each brutal revolution. The Half-Dragon let out a bit more chain each time, widening the safe circle until there wasn't anyone besides Yama and Shadul within Ferrenom's radius.

@GoblinKing

(How much did he clear? I'm not trying to be rude, but there are other people in this RP who probably want to keep going with this scene. He didn't like.. clear the field, right?)

Myrin slowly backed away from the orc and started to run. Suddenly, a huge hulking orc charged at her, tearing up the ground beneath its claws. She sidestepped the beast and crouched, stabbing the blade deep into its thigh. The orc’s momentum carried it forward and it crashed into the inn, collapsing in a heap.

@GoblinKing

Shadul heard the noise from the inn, and turned heel to dash inside.

“What happened? Myrin, are you still in here?” She ducked inside, halting at the fallen orc. She wasn’t quite sure if it was dead or not.

@GoblinKing

Shadul followed Myrin's voice.

"Are you hurt? That guy was gigantic." She still gripped her axe, one hand on the hilt and the other gripping the hair of the newly severed head on her belt. Shadul let it fall back to her waist, the head still dripping a tiny bit with blood.

@Yamatsu

(How much did he clear? I'm not trying to be rude, but there are other people in this RP who probably want to keep going with this scene. He didn't like.. clear the field, right?)

(Absolutely not. I assume we're fighting in the outskirts, meaning that plenty are getting through. He's trying to clear a path for your character while the other orcs try to keep their insides on the inside.)

@vidari-is-tired-in-advance group

Myrin backed up a little from the sight of the grotesque severed head. “I’m fine. I’m good. I’m all good,” she replied with a paper cheeriness. “Just, you know, another day fightin’ people!” She tucked her newly cleaned blade back in its sheath and grinned blankly.

@GoblinKing

"Oh, did you see my trophy?" Shadul grinned, yanking the gnarly head up by the hair. "He's good luck!"

She looked at Myrin's expression. "Are you okay? This is stressful, I know-" She heard the heavy footsteps of an orc behind her. Shaul's axe shot out, hitting him square in the abdomen. "…Thank the Great Mother that the orcs don't tread lightly, eh?"

@Yamatsu

(an orc cries out from the background: "Oi! I'll have you know that I am very graceful! Not all of us orcs are lumbering brutes, 'oi?!")

Divine let out a hiss as their claw got snagged on an orc's bone in it's neck. "FUCK!" They yelled, shifting away the claw that was now covered in both the orcs and their own black blood. "I fucking hate when I break a nail." They muttered, eyes flashing with pure rage as they stopped using their claws and shifted into a hulking mass, using their teeth now.

@GoblinKing

“Can you hold your own, Myrin? I’m going back out to the front. Come with me if you’d like. Otherwise, hide upstairs in the inn.” Shadul twirled her axe, its battered leather grip looking like it was ready to fall off at any time. “But don’t stay here.”

@Yamatsu

"Wait, WHAT?!" Yama cried. "You just got fuckin' stabbed in the leg, what do you mean 'you're going back out there?!'" Ferrenom barked in reply, seemingly reinforcing Yama's point.
