Bella turned to look at Clare, “I’m sorry about your brother. I know what it’s like to have a loved one die. Your past sounds kind of awesome- loving parents, opportunities. I wish I had that.” She wiped her eyes trying to push away tears she hadn’t realized were there. “What was your boyfriend like?” The human put air quotes around the word boyfriend. “You don’t have to tell me. Just wondering.”
"He was fine I guess, we didn't really know each other, we didn't talk he was only with me when we were in public so, it wasn't bad I just didn't have the chance to date anyone else." Clare said with a shrug.
“That sounds weird. Do you even want a boyfriend?” Bella questioned. please say no. She couldn’t help but wish.
Clare glanced at Bella then replied, "I had more then one fake relationship, the one I just told you about was the first one, I didn't know him but I did want to be with someone else, but I hated the second relation ship even more." Clare paused, "The Second relationship was devastating I hated that our relationship because I actually liked him, I have ever sense I was a little kid, he always treated me like a human being instead of a bartering chip, he was my best friend. I hoped that when our parents arranged the relationship it might become real." Clare remembered how happy she had been when they proposed the idea, "I was a fool, all it did was tear the one friend I had further away from me, he became distant and never talked to me unless we had to appear together, then It was like I had my friend back, but it was never real, he was a different person when we weren't being forced together, cold and correct."
Bella features softened. “Do you wanna hug or… I don’t know.”
Clare laughed, "It's alright I'm not much of a physical contact person, but thank you."
As you're talking you feel a light breeze gently brush past you. Strangely, it doesn't come from the gathering storm outside but from within the cave. If you choose to inspect the cave further, you will find a tiny hole in the furthest corner. It's dark and so small you'd have to crawl through. As you approach you hear what sounds like whispering. Detached and silky and as if there are many voices. It beckons you forward. You feel compelled to follow but the choice is yours.
Clare felt a light breeze brush bast her face, but it was coming from within the cave, she stood and beckoned for Mira to fallow, Girl and tiger approached the back of the cave where they found a small opening. She felt an urge to fallow the noise, she looked back at Iris's sleeping form and Azriel curled up under her wings, Should she leave them?
(completely unrelated question that definitely has nothing to do with this: to what extent do you guys care about religion in this world? would you like to know anything about it?)
Arabella stood and followed Clare. the breeze. Where was it coming from? When Clare stopped, Bella kept walking in a trance-like-state. As she neared the back of the cave, she began to hear voices. They were detached and silky and Bella felt like they were calling to her. She walked to the corner and saw a small hole, but big enough to crawl through. She looked back at Clare. Should she follow?
Clare pulled Bella back from the hole, she didn't like how the girl had reacted, "That's not natural, we should probably ignore it, if it wants to lure us in there, it's probably not friendly." Clare turned back to the entrance and felt the pull of the wind, she shivered, definitely not natural.
“I- yeah. I don’t wanna get in any more trouble and I don’t want anything to happen to you.” Arabella turned to look at her friend.
(Ooh yes! Different types, their relation to regions, main/prominent ones, traditions, lol I would like to hear it.)
The elf’s eyelids peeled back to reveal silver eyes that danced in the cave. As a twisting feeling rooted itself into Iris’s gut, the light breeze ghosting her features grew compelling. Wisps of black hair tugged away from her face, toward the humans. In awe, she whispered in Brachish, “Do you feel that?”
(Hey trix it's been a while!)
(Yeah sorry I was gone for a week :P)
Azriel nodded, looking around dazedly. After a moment, she stood up and walked over to where the humans had been talking earlier. What was in there?
Arabella suddenly turned and ran from the wind. Just running. She had to get away. What if the wind made her do terrible things? She had to run. She raced past Azriel and Iris and ran.
(She’s a boat load of trouble for y’all! Good luck! ‘,;)
Closing her eyes shut tight, Azriel manipulated the wind to act as a barrier in front of Arabella. "Iris, can you tell her to please stay?" She asked softly.
Bella slammed into the wind AZRIEL and collapsed to the ground. She basically ran full speed into bricks. And it fucking hURT. “Owwww. Azriel!”
“I think Clare would have more success,” Iris hissed through her clenched jaw. She, in turn, trapped Arabella’s feet with ice. Her gaze withheld no pity as the elf glared.
“IRIS! You little shit! Let me go! It hurts!” Arabella cried as she desperately tried to scrape the ice of her foot with her fingernails.
