(Sorry for not responding, I'm back now!)

With Paisley seated back where she had previously sat, and Mikah glaring icy dagger at her, they hadn't initially noticed the small Felis waiting to take their orders. It wasn't until the small voice reached Paisley's ears that she turned her head and glanced down at the creature. She had seen him from the window whenever she had walked by, but hadn't actually been in his presence before. He was small, bite size in comparison to Mikah, but he looked like he could pack a punch where needed.

Before the girl could respond to Sebastian, Mikah cut her off by relaying what each of the the guards wanted. "That should be everything.. 4 cream and chicken soups, and 4 red snapper and fennel salads." he made a quick silent headcount to make sure he had gotten everyone, of course, purposely leaving out Paisley. Mikah looked back down at the Felis with a polite smile. "That's everything, thank you."

Paisley didn't utter a sound, she sat with a calm air around her and tried her best to remain quiet. No, she wouldn't allow her emotions to get the better of her, especially not in public. Throwing a punch at Mikah might also cost her life, and she was much to important to die from something as meaningless as beheading.

(it's totally alright, welcome back!)

Sebastian noticed how someone was left out of the five-person party, but he said nothing. After all, he didn't know the circumstances, he didn't even know who wouldn't be eating. Or maybe two people just wanted one dish– there were a dozen scenarios, and Sebastian didn't really want to think to hard on it. He just wanted to get the recipes out. Making the the Guard squads wait wasn't the smartest idea.

"Alright, so that's four snapper and fennel and four soups.." He mumbled to himself, scribbling down the order in chicken-scratch handwriting. "Is that all? Any drinks should be taken up to Miriam." Sebastian pointed at the woman at the bar. "She's much more experienced with that than I am." The Felis tittered, getting his notepad ready in case there was more that they tacked onto the order.

"No that's perfect, thank you for the direction of drinks." Mikah's smile soothed a little, knowing how badly Paisley wanted to speak up. After her earlier act of defiance he was sure that she wasn't going to be speaking out of line again any time soon, which meant she would go hungry and—
"Could you add another bowl of soup onto that?" Paisley's voice broke as she opened her mouth, ignoring the pain shooting through her foot as Mikah dug his heel into her. Her smile betrayed no emotions, if anything it showed how awkward she felt about having to ask the Felis to add to the order. No way was she letting Mikah stop her from eating. "Sorry to be a pain."

She knew she would pay for it later, but right now she wanted to eat. Better getting into a fight with a full stomach.

"Another.. soup.. sure thing!" Sebastian scribbled down the addition. "I'll get everything right out to you." The Felis didn't notice Mikah's foot digging into Paisley's, even if it would've been easy. He was a little preoccupied switching between looking up at the table and down at his notes. "It's not an issue." He shook his head.

Sebastian took a small step back. "Alright. I'll get your food out soon. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask us, yeah?" He turned and walked off, adjusting his apron as he got back into the kitchen. It was no sooner that he'd gotten out of the customers' line of sight that he let that customer service facade fade, stepping up onto his stack of crates to begin filling wooden bowls with soups.

"Four fennel salads, Shadul. Please." He looked behind him towards the orcish woman, who was eager to just get things over with. Business was slow now, and it was hellishly boring to be stuck in the kitchen with no orders to fill out.
