Aika turned and looked at him. "You wanna see my quirk, huh?" She said, smiling. "Alright then." She placed a portal next to the desk, and one on the opposite side of the room. She waved at Nakano and stepped into the further portal, emerging from the one by the desk. "You can call me Miyazaki, by the way." Aika added, grinning.

Takao blinked, stunned into silence for precisely three seconds before breaking out into a huge grin. "That was so cool! I mean, I figured it'd be something along those lines with a name like 'Void', but damn, that must be super useful in dealing with villains," he enthused, leaning back in his chair, which wobbled dangerously, and gesturing towards where the point of entry had been.

"Does that mean you could just, like, transport villains directly to the police, or is there distance limit?" he wondered aloud.

@PastelTart

"Well, sort of." Aika replied, closing the portals. "It kind of depends." She leaned against the wall and crossed her arms. "If it's just one or two villains, then I'm good. Now, if you want me to transport a whole neighborhood full of people, that's going to take a lot of energy." She explained, "Also, I can only place portals on a surface I can see."

(Awesome!! Here's my character!!)

Name: Katsurou Kato
Hero Name: Finger Guns
Aliases/Preferred Name/Nicknames: Goes by "Kato", nicknames include "Flashy Fingers" and "Katsu"
Age: 26
Gender & Pronouns: Cis male; he/him
Sexuality: Straight
Quirk: Bullet Fingers; Katsurou has the ability to shoot his fingers off of his hands at high speeds. Between the abnormally strong bones in his hands and his bullet-like fingertips, it's rare for a finger to break after being shot off. He can reattach fingers, but it's not a painless process. Oh, and he still bleeds while the finger is detached. If a finger is broken, it will take the same amount of time to heal as anyone else's.
Backstory: Katsurou has always been a bit of a show-off. It wasn't that he thought he was better than anyone else or anything, he just liked to improve his skills and show others what he could do. He'd been given a gift, why not use it? Between his amiable nature and flashy abilities, Katsurou was fairly popular among his peers in his childhood and teen years. One of his best friends was a quirkless girl named Emi Kishimoto, affectionately nicknamed Kishi. Kishi had an infatuation with heroes, and had always wanted Katsurou to become one someday. The two of them would playfully argue about it, with Katsurou pointing out that his quirk wasn't nearly powerful enough to even step to some of the pro heroes out there, and Kishi insisting that it didn't matter, he could still do tons to help make the world a better place–"so much more" than she could. When the two of them were in junior high–or the Japanese equivalent, can't say I'm super familiar with how school works over there–Kishi was killed by a villain during an attack on a local mall. Katsurou decided that he would train to become a hero, both to honor Kishi's wish and to do his best to make sure that other kids wouldn't have to lose their best friends. He was able to make it into and graduate from UA High, falling in love with both the school's atmosphere and a beautiful young woman from the Investigative Studies department named Shinju Itou. Shortly after graduating, the two of them got married and began their careers.
Appearance: Katsurou has dark, fluffy hair and a tanned complexion. His eyes are a steely grey color, and he has short stubble on his face. If you squint really hard, you can see old scars from a training accident when he was in high school. Katsurou stands at about 5'10 and has a fairly muscular build–his line of work does help to keep him rather fit, after all. Perhaps the most interesting part of Katsurou's appearance is the absence of his left thumb–there are several theories about when he lost it, and he's certainly never going to tell.

Personality: One of the first things that most people notice about Katsurou is that he is a very friendly man. He's outgoing, optimistic, and keeps a can-do attitude most of the time. Sometimes, however, his optimism can border on naivete, and his can-do attitude can turn into recklessness. For these reasons, Katsurou tends to work better on a team–he usually keeps a level head easier if he's not the only one at risk. Outside of work, Katsurou's hobbies include cooking, exercising, and playing both board and video games with Shinju. He is a very affectionate husband and has a habit of not letting go of her hand when they're together, which has led to some interesting occurrences.
Support Items: Katsurou's gloves have a special padded flap to at least attempt to slow his bleeding. His belt has sugar cubes in the pouches to help him keep his blood sugar levels up, and at least one of them usually has a juice box or pouch in it.
Other: Shinju has just recently become pregnant. Though they don't know it yet, they'll be having twins. Katsurou would like to teach at UA someday, as a math teacher.

(I'm gonna wait for the go-ahead to post anything else haha)

"I see, I see," he hummed, tapping the marker thoughtfully against the side of his shoe. "My quirk relies more on physical health than energy, although overusing it can cause some problems. Small things here and there don't impact me much, though," he explained, indigo-colored ink flooding to his palm. The ink collected into a circular shape and he flicked his wrist, the shape popping out of his palm as a solid sphere. He tilted his hand and let it roll across the table, and with a tilt of his head, the shape stopped in its tracks. It morphed into a tiny, dragon-like figure that stiffly walked a few spaces before returning to a small pool of ink that crawled back across the table and into his waiting palm, leaving no trace of it ever being there.

Takao smiled proudly, clenching his fingers into a fist as the ink swirled around his wrist and returned to a spot on his forearm as the same tiny dragon from before. There it stayed, the image of a perfectly normal tattoo as he addressed Miyazaki again. "The kids love it when I do that kind of stuff, so I've practiced it a bunch. But trust me when I say it's more dangerous than it seems," he advised lightheartedly.

(I just saw Katsurou and I'm totally invested in his character! I can't wait to see him in writing! Please feel free to jump in at any point^^)

@Cloudy_is_trying_her_best

(Cool, thanks!)

A light knock, knock, knock-knock, knock sounded on the doorframe, and Kato peered in. "Hey! Inkmeister and… Void, right? I'm Finger Guns, it's great to meet you guys," he said, with a small wave of his right hand on his introduction. He stepped into the room with a grin.

Deleted user

(No worries!)

Taken aback slightly by the sudden change in topic, Takao paused. “Most difficult,” he mused, staring off into the distance as he recounted past fights.

“Huh. Well, there was this villain with a quirk that could manipulate mirrors that gave me a bunch of trouble. What was her name… Funhouse! Yeah, she was a pain,” he complained, rubbing the back of his neck contemplatively. “My ink sticks to most things, but it had no impact against her mirrors, and she could move through them or substitute herself with reflections… That fight was a hot mess,” he admitted.

“I ended up barely beating her by disguising some ink as blood. She didn’t realize until too late what it actually was, and by that point, the win was mine,” he explained. He started to reciprocate the question when a knocking interrupted.

Eyes lighting up, he stood from his chair (more carefully this time) to greet their next teammate. "Welcome to the team, Finger Guns! How's it going?"

@Cloudy_is_trying_her_best

"Going good, thanks! Though… well, heh, I guess I did get kind of turned around on the way here." Kato chuckled. "Couple of villains were causing problems, so I ended up taking a detour to help take care of them. Then I might have realized that I was a little lost," he admitted, rubbing the back of his neck and laughing a little.

@PastelTart

Aika grinned at Finger Guns. "No worries!" She replied, offering her hand. "Nice to meet you, Finger Guns. Glad to have you on the team."

Deleted user

Takao grinned, glancing at Void and nodding his agreement. “Happens to the best of us, but I’m glad you made it safely. We were discussing our quirks and past battles while we waited for everyone,” he explained, waiting for the other two heroes to finish their introduction before offering his own hand to Finger Guns.

“Anything to add on those subjects? Or questions, I suppose, while we wait for our final teammate?”

@Cloudy_is_trying_her_best

"You as well," Kato replied, shaking Void's hand. He then turned back to Inkmeister and shook his. "Past battles? Hm… well, there was that time fought this one villain a few years back. Called himself the Count, if I remember correctly. He'd get stronger and faster for a while if he drank someone else's blood. Unfortunately, I got a couple of shots off before I realized. By that point, I was trying to fistfight this guy that was probably twice as strong as he was normally and just as fast while I was losing a bunch of blood." Kato frowned a little at the memory. He'd charged in thinking that it would have been an easy fight and had left quite a bit humbled. "It was a good thing I wasn't alone for that one, otherwise I would've been toast. Since the villain was entirely focused on me, my teammate was able to get a sneak attack off and knock him out by the time she made it to where we were."

Deleted user

"Damn, sounds like a tough fight. Good on you and your teammate for getting things taken care of in the end, though," Takao commented, taking a few steps back to hop up on the table. His legs swung slightly as he faced Miyazaki. "What about you? Any challenging villain fights?"

@PastelTart

"Yeah." Aika responded, "I fought a villain calling herself 'Echo.' She could make her voice sound like someone else's." She said, thinking back to when she battled the annoying villain. "I managed to knock her into one of my portals, and she went flying out the other, straight into the side of a building. By the time I got her to the police station, I was about ready to send her flying again just to shut her up. Seriously, she talks a lot." Aika rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Anyway, any other questions?"

Deleted user

"A voice quirk?" Takao mumbled with interest. "Those are pretty rare in the line of heroes and villains… It's a shame she decided to use it for wrong."

He laughed when she mentioned how the villain wouldn't shut up, leaning back on the table and gesturing with his free hand as he asked, "What is it with villains and monologuing? Like I get it might be an attention thing, but surely they could just make a podcast or something rather than causing all that trouble? At least some of them." He shook his head, breathing out an amused sigh as he shifted his attention once again to Finger Guns.

"Any clue who our final teammate is? You seemed to know us right away, though it's not like we're subtle," he amended with a grin.

(sorry for the delay, I left this on my computer and couldn't get to it)
(hope he is okay)

Preferred Name/Nickname: Z, Zephir, Zane
Do you have any triggers fellow roleplayers should know about? If so, what are they?: Probably not any that apply here, if I think of any, I'll let you know

Character Template
Name: Kichi Takada
Hero Name: Cobra
Aliases/Preferred Name/Nicknames: Usually Taka or Ki
Age: 21
Gender & Pronouns: Male, he/him/they/them
Sexuality: Gay
Quirk: Venom Fangs; Has sharp fang like teeth where his canines should be that can seemingly fold out to point slightly forwards or be longer. He has highly toxic venom which can be used by biting opponents, making them lose energy quickly and black out, or can be spat, which will dissolve inorganic material and cause stinging burn-like wounds. He isn't immune to his own poison however and being hit with hit or biting himself would have consequences. He also has pretty bad hearing and eyesight but they aren't too bad to warrent glasses or hearing aids.
Backstory: Kichi was born into a highranking hero family and was pressured by tradition into becoming a pro hero. Went to UA and almost didn't graduate because of his reckless and rebellious behaviour. When he did graduate, he went immediatly into solo hero work. He prefers gathering information and spying on bad guys to actual frontline fighting but he can fight if needed
Appearance: 5'5" and mad about it, fluffy white hair, pale skin, yellow snake-like eyes, forked tongue
Personality: Reckless and impulsive. He has a tendancy to rush in too fast but can hold himself back in most instances. Low self esteem, clingy, and was somehow the quiet edgy kid and the kid that got in trouble all the time
Support Items: Doesn't have anything specific for his quirk but has basic gear to help him fight like lightweight armour and gloves to make his punches hurt more
Other: He can hiss

@Cloudy_is_trying_her_best

Kato stroked his chin. "He had a snake name, I remember that much. Viper? Python, maybe?" He snapped his fingers suddenly upon remembering. "Oh! Cobra, that's right! Yeah," he said. "I don't really know too much about him, maybe he's more of a 'behind the scenes work' kinda guy?" Kato shrugged. "Then again, maybe not. Either way, I'm definitely looking forward to working with you all."

@PastelTart

"Me too. This is gonna be so exciting!" Aika bounced on her toes and looked expectantly at the door. "I hope he gets here soon. He sounds really interesting."

Deleted user

(Very interesting character, and he's more than fine! Feel free to hop in at any point, and I'll respond soon :)

@ZephirFox8812

Kichi tapped lightly on the door and poked his head through. "Hello? Are you guys my new teammates?" He asked, his fangs and forked tongue giving him a slight lisp. His eyes darted between the other heroes.

Deleted user

"That's possible. I tend to try and avoid the media, myself, but with varying degrees of success," Takao responded almost sheepishly. "But yeah, same here! And I'm sure he'll—"

He broke off at the tap on the door, shifting his gaze to meet the snake hero's. "Well speak of the devil and he shall appear! No offense," he added quickly, holding his hands out placatingly. "You must be Cobra? I'm Inkmeister, that's Void, and that's Finger Guns," he explained, gesturing to himself and the other heroes respectively with his marker still clutched in his hand. "Sorry for stealing your introductions, by the way," he added, glancing apologetically at his new friends(?).

Turning back to Cobra, he started to ask, "Did anyone send you in here, by the way? All I was told was to wait in here until everyone arrived and that things would be explained then, but there's been nyAHH—"

Takao cut himself off with a shout as a hand landed on his shoulder, and he practically jumped out of his skin to see a vaguely amused face directly behind him. "Christ, Asahi, you promised you wouldn't do that anymore," he huffed, clutching his heart dramatically as the rest of the ghostly figure materialized on the other side of the table.

"All in good fun, Takao, all in good fun," Specter replied evenly, raising his eyes to examine the other heroes in the room. "Now that you're all here, I can begin the debriefing. My name is Yumma Asahi, hero name Specter, and I'm the director of this particular project. Before we get started, do any of you have any concerns related to this here team?"

@Cloudy_is_trying_her_best

Kato waved when Inkmeister said his name. "It's cool, don't worry about it," he replied good-naturedly to the apology, then laughed when the other hero was startled. He thought about jokingly saying something like, 'Yeah, does Inkmeister over there have any heart problems we should know about?' but decided that maybe he should be a little more serious right now. "None on my end," he answered Specter's question.
