Shuichi wasn't entirely sure how to respond to the kiss, but it definitely caught him off guard. He didn't even know that Kokichi was there, although he had only woken up a couple of minutes ago. He had no idea that Kokichi was watching from the window. Rantaro didn't seem to notice, either, although he just seemed a bit zoned out at the time, lost in whatever he was doing on his phone. Little did he know that the person he was texting was right there.
“ rantaro.. Look..” kokichi texted
Rantaro looked out the window once he saw Kokichi's text. He was certainly surprised to see that the other was right outside. He must have witnessed the kiss, then, which likely caused him to be upset. Things were abouit to get even more interesting, it seemed.
Come inside. We'll talk about this.

Rantaro sighed softly as he saw Kokichi's response to the text. He really didn't see why the other refused to come inside since it seemed like the desire to catch him had decreased considerably after that night's incident. Besides, he figured that Shuichi would want to see him as well.
Please? Kokichi, I think Shuichi would like to see you…
“he's got his kaito now..”
Rantaro sighed softly again as he shook his head. He didn't know if Kokichi actually saw that or not, but he still intended on replying to his text, so he would hopefully be able to explain the situation to him. He just wanted to be able to calm the other down.
Shuichi never reacted to the kiss. I don't think he and Kaito are dating… The kiss was sudden, but Shuichi never really reacted… I think he's just confused…
“ or he's still on knock out gass and just can't react. And the sad thing is, I opened up my heart, and yet again I get burned.. “
Rantaro really didn't know how he was going to get Kokichi to listen to him, but he was going to keep trying until he eventually got him to believe him when he said that there was nothing romantic between Kaito and Shuichi, at least on Shuichi's end. He was going to do whatever it would take to prove this to him. He didn't want his best friend to be upset.
Kokichi, even if that's the case, I heavily doubt that they are dating. From the few times I have seen them together, they seem like best friends. Kaito's had an obvious crush on him, but Shuichi never seemed to return the feeling…
“either way, I'm not coming in.”
Rantaro was slowly losing hope in the situation, but he was still pretty determined to calm Kokichi down despite being unsure if that was even possible. It seemed like he would keep trying this for a little while as well, all to help his best friend. That was all that he wanted to do.
Kokichi, I think you'll be fine. There's still a chance that Shuichi likes you. Personally, I think he does.
Kokichi sighed, tapping on the window for rantaro to let him in
Rantaro let Kokichi in as soon as he heard him tapping on the window. So he decided to come inside after all, it seemed. Maybe he had finally convinced him that things would be better if he joined them inside so Shuichi could see him.
"See?" he asked softly. "I think Shuichi will be happy to see you here."
Kokichi kept his head low and walked inside the room “?”
Before Rantaro could say anything, Shuichi looked at Kokichi with a small smile on his face, proving his statement within seconds. It seemed like Shuichi was happy to see him there, after all. He did care about the thief, and it was nice to see that he cared about him as well.
"I told you," Rantaro told him softly. "He's happy to see you here."
Kokichi teared up, “and he's only here because of me..”
Rantaro shook his head at the comment. The entire thing was an accident in the end, and while Kaito was trying to kill Kokichi, he was the one who shot Shuichi while not being sure who he was shooting at. However, that was due to the darkness of the night. Even if Kokichi hadn't run off, this could have occurred in other ways. For all they knew, Shuichi could be a target if they figured out that he seemed to be allying with Kokichi, after all. In the end, while the situation was avoidable, it wasn't necessarily anyone's fault.
"No, no, it was all some accident under some ridiculous circumstances…" he sighed. "Everything's alright… No one's mad at anyone…"
Kokichi nodded, going up to shuichi and waving slightly
Shuichi quickly returned the small wave as he continued to give Kokichi a bit of a smile, trying to let him know that he was far from angry with him over the current situation. He was honestly just glad to see the other with him at the time. When he saw Rantaro and Kaito, he honestly wondered about where Kokichi was. He did want to see him.
“I'm sorry..” he whispered to shuichi
Shuichi shook his head at the apology, as he didn't see the need for Kokichi to apologize to him. He was aware that everything was nothing more than an accident, and he would be able to recover with time, so the entire situation would be behind them eventually. It would all end up being okay in the end.
"No need…" he responded softly. "It's alright…"
“You shouldn't wear my clock anymore…”
Shuichi nodded in response to the statement, as he was aware that it was likely a bad idea to continue wearing Kokichi's cloak. He had been wearing it because he found it to be somewhat comfortable, and he liked how it reminded him of Kokichi, even if he was there at the time, but he had forgotten to take it off before rushing after him, and on that dark night, it made him look like Kokichi, resulting in the entire incident.
"I…I know…"
Kokichi sighed, putting his hand in shuichis
Shuichi grabbed Kokichi's hand after a moment, wondering about what was going on. Why was everyone suddenly being so affectionate with him? It really didn't make all that much sense to him for everyone to suddenly be incredibly affectionate towards him. However, he didn't say anything about it.
