"Well, she is a siren for starters, not the human or bird looking siren, more like a fish but with legs instead of a tail," Eli explains, "Dad adopted her way before he even met our mother, sirens live more than humans so she was way older than us. She took care of us after our parents passed away."

Deleted user

"Oh. I'm so sorry." said Skylar, looking like she hadn't expected that at all. Matthew's response was much less polite. "Fish, but with legs." He made a face and was obviously trying to picture it in his mind.

Deleted user

"That's how she calls herself, and no need for condolences, death is only… natural," he says, "Penny may not be polite, nor patient, let alone not scary, but she took care of us, even if that mean slaping some sence in a literal way, I think she's doing an amazing job now that she has kids of her own."

The male raised an eyebrow, "Coffee?"

"Probably a dark brew of some sort hun. Maybe like the brew made in 'The Dancing Nanny Goat'," Nidatri's soft voice came from behind.
The woman had crossed one of her legs over in an elegant fashion. She smoothed a few wrinkles from the gown, returning her hands to neatly fold upon her lap. Nidatri didn't seem as tense as earlier, pupils becoming slightly rounder. Though she was still nowhere near as relaxed as her mate.

Mutaro took a moment to look back at her, "Huh, so like the drink they call 'Black Velour'? Well, personally I'm more of a beer guy."
He seemingly shrugged, then looked back forward. The male quieted down slightly as the pairs started to converse with one another. He would be polite, and allow them to talk, not being one to interrupt, and instead listen.

Deleted user

"Oh, Didn't consider that you may want to talk," Eli lookee ar the dragon couple and apologized, "Enough with my sentimentalism.:

Matthew rubbed the dark circles under his eyes and glanced at the dragons again, they had tails and antlers, but he was too tired to care. Probably shapeshifters or something, he'd be fine.

@Dragoncita group

Mutaro lifted his head as the male addressed them. His tail flicked a bit, tilting his head slightly to the side, "Hm? Oh, don't worry about it."
"I'm honestly used to it. I'm mostly a negotiator and speaker with other creatures in our world."

The male suddenly gave a soft sight, slight streams of smoke escaping out of the corners of his mouth, "A lot of my kind aren't as laidback as I am, and willing to work with others. That damn stubbornness and pride streak we dragons have."
The sigh turned into a grimace, "Though our relations with humans is probably the worse. Since the war started, any talk of trying to restore 'peace' with them has been tossed to the side."

"Can you blame our King," Nidatri's soft voice suddenly came from the corner.
Mutaro's own form stiffened slightly. He noticed his mate's eyes had softened, almost saddened. The once slit pupils were completely round now. Slowly, he made his way over to her side, a low noise seeming to come from his chest, like a purr, but rougher.
"The loss of the Queen, his mate. Only leaving his two heirs," the woman closed her eyes, "It's a burden I couldn't bear, a burden I fear may happen."

A frown crossed Mutaro's features. Shit, yea, he knew where she was coming from…it had been awhile since they had spoken about such a thing happening…if he were to suddenly never return home again…

"Politics are… often complicated," Aura says calmly followed by a sigh, "But I must accept we humans aren't putting nearly enough effort as other creatures to keep peace."

Deleted user

"Well," said Matthew slowly looking at Skylar out of the corner of his eye to see how she was reacting, "I've only ever met one person who wasn't human. A shapeshifter."
"Her name is Christi," Skylar joined in "–and I'm not sure she's the best person to represent magical creatures."
"The first time we met her she turned into a wolf and bit me." grumbled Matthew rolling up the sleeve of his shirt a little to show a crescent of red marks on his forearm.
"Granted, she did think you were going to attack her." Skylar reasoned. He shrugged in agreement and pulled his sleeve back down.

"We deal with non humans very often," said Aura in a somehow positive tone, "Eli himself is not fully human, actually."

"My mother was a fae, though I grew up the human way, I suppose, is not like my sister wasn't raised like human by our father…" he shrugs as he explains himself.

"Our line of work, while involving lots of humans as coworkers, deals with creatures that go from the rational to the esoteric…" she says, "Sentient or not, actually, from those who look like us to those who resemble abobinations that came out of a nightmare," Aura looks all around the place as she tries to explain it without sounding like crazy, in order to keep her away to stressing herself about it, Eli decides to add something else to the topic, "Shapeshifters included, though the ones we call shapeshifters to every being who can change form regardless of their species, is more of a categoty for us."

Deleted user

"I didn't know there were so many Fae. Christi talked about them like they were incredibly rare. She said that shapeshifters were dying out, and that her generation would be the last." said Skylar frowning.

Deleted user

"Not were we come from, there are many in Europe, the ones on America are generally inmigrants," explained Eli

@Dragoncita group

Mutaro had moved to his mate's side. He lightly rubbed her shoulders, the strange 'purr' coming from his chest. His head lifted as he heard 'fae'.
"Fae are rather…annoying creatures…no offense."

The male paused, lifting a hand towards the one who called himself 'Eli', "Fae and dragons don't have very good relations, but nowhere near as bad as with humans."

A sudden 'tck' came from Nidatri. The tip of her tail flicked in a rather annoyed appearance.
Her arms crossed in front of her chest, "Fae, don't get me started."

A nervous chuckle came from Mutaro, "Yea, supposedly a Dragon King of old made a bet with the Fairy King, and lost the bet. The thing dragons lost, was a lush part of forest. Course, dragons figure the fae used underhanded strategies to win, but no one is for sure."

"Honestly, not sure how you can put up with them Mutaro."

Mutaro shrugged, smile remaining, "Once again, beats the hell out of me how I put up with everything. I'm only one of few dragons willing to talk with the fae."
He paused in thought, "Though, now thinking about it, there are very few creatures dragons are willing to work with, seeing as we have a few select allies."

Deleted user

"We have rules back home, what a fae is allowed to do, what they aren't, what magic can they use and to what extend, from what I remember, my mother always talked about how she missed the days when she was able to roam around the forest without a permit…" Eli shrugs, "Like shapeshifters, there are many types of fae, some more friendly than others."

Deleted user

"All I ever knew about fairies were the old tales," said Skylar "Warnings not to step in a fairy circle, or to never tell a fairy your.." she glanced at Eli,suddenly looking scared. "…name."

Deleted user

"Also for a fairy not to tell their name," Aura stepa into the conversation, clearing her throath, "Or any creature, of that nature, is an unspoken rule."

Eli looks at her and places his hand on her shoulder to calm her down, "Names hold a meaning, which is why we never use our full names, or the ones we were given at birth, though I guess I'm more human than anything else. Besides, there are even more rules related to names."

@Dragoncita group

Mutaro raised an eyebrow as the woman explained stating names was frowned upon. Well, at least real names, or that is what he was assuming. Though as Eli explained a bit more, a slow nod came from him.

"I do have to agree. Certain names hold a certain power about them. There are very few names that bring fear to a dragon…"

"But there are a few that come to mind," Nidatri suddenly spoke, voice barely audible, "Names dare not spoken…"

Deleted user

"We're just normal little humans." muttered Matthew. "We give away names like candy at the solstice."

Deleted user

"You're right", Aura says, "At the end of the day we just forget about what we were taught and do it anyways."

Deleted user

"I grew up in the capitol." said Matthew shrugging. "Nobody believed in fairies, because no one had ever seen one. Skylar lived in the forests, I guess fae are a lot more common there."

Deleted user

"Indeed they are," said Eli, "Most don't like the constant buzzing of the cities and everything it involves, can't say I blame them." she shrugs and fixes his glasses, Aura looks at him with a smile and laughs, "You aren't so different, darling."

Deleted user

"I didn't really like the capitol much myself," replied Matthew.
"I thought the capitol was great!" said Skylar smiling. "It was nice to be around so many people after being alone in the woods for so long."

Deleted user

"Honestly if I could move back to the countryside I'll would do it…" Eli just shrugs and stretches, "The city may be a little bit too much for us, despite living on one since the 70s…" Aura sighs and rests her eyes while resting her chin on her hand.

Deleted user

"I like living in the country, but I don't get to enjoy it much," sighed Matthew "I'm to busy with work,"
"You mean Xavier?"

Deleted user

"Work and more work, a struggle we can all relate," Aura says. "May I ask who Xavier is? if it isn't too intrussive for me to do so, of course."
