It's set in a world divided into factions based on traits. When kids come of age, they make the choice to stay in their faction or switch to a different one. Beatrice (Tris) is faced with this decision, but is different. Some people fit into more than one faction, they are divergent. The government wants to wipre these people out, and it launches Tris and some friends into a long and drawn out war. I don't want to say to much but it's very good.

weird little writing prompt thingamajig:

"do you.. do you think you can remember Past Me well enough to describe her to me? Because I feel like I don't know anything about Me anymore and I only remember the bad of Past Me."

I’ve gotta say, I’m not sure I’ll be able to keep reading the Divergent series,,,, I’m not a fan tbh. Reading this after reading the Hunger Games trilogy and Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes…. not a good idea for me personally. I could go on an entire thing about this but I don’t wanna offend any Divergent fans or spoil anyone who might be interested in reading it

YOOOOO Sea of Gold and Ink is really cool!!! check it out of you like fantasy set in other worlds, with ships and wars and mysterious magic the protagonist doesnt understand; if you like friendships born of need, and discovering new things without anyone to help you, and revenge of your family's murder by an unknown enemy.
the first book Is "the Reader"
author Traci Chee
new series that has me hooked!! (yes its a series)
