I want to talk makeup with some people, maybe see some new looks, share and receive tips and tricks, all that jazz but first I need people to talk to.

ok idk makeup well, but I'm trying to get there. I got the skin routine down but i have no clue where to start with face stuff. Ik the basics like foundation, eye shadow, and lipstick. I can even do some contour and am pretty good at winged eyeliner. What I have no idea about is all the actual face stuff? BB and CC cream, primer, powder versus liquid foundation, concealer that works? I have very pale (allergic to the sun) skin with I think cool undertones, so finding stuff that works in stores is very confusing. What do you guys do and use?

Oh I can help with that!
Ok, so BB cream is more of a foundation, usually has some skincare benefits. CC is more of a concealer (Color Correcting!). In my experience, powder foundation works in a pinch and it’s faster but I prefer liquid though it takes just a little more time.
My concealer is from Sally’s and concealer in general is hard to use. You really have to cover more than you think (around pimples and triangles for under eyes) and then blend it.
I use a ton of different brands as well. I’ve heard good things abt E.L.F. from non-sensitive skin people, plus it’s cheap. I use a lot of Ulta and Morphe stuff.

What about cut creases and using colours like reds and light pink?

My friend is amazing at makeup but hasn't explained when I asked

Anytime I use light colours like red or light pink, my eyes end up looking infected and weird

Possibly your skin, possibly the powder, possibly technique. Recommendation: use multiple shades. Lighter on the eyelid, darker on the crease. See also: darker on the outside for a smokier look.

Alright, I misunderstood this at first glance. My sister is super into makeup in general (freaks out whenever a new celebrity palette is released), but I thought you guys were talking about theatre and movie makeup. She absolutely LOVES working with prosthetics and gets a kick out of showing her friends whatever grisly wound she's made for herself.

Hey ya'll!
I don't like makeup, but I'm sort of thinking about getting somethings to cover-up this vein I have on my eye and then cover-up a few other marks and then of course acne. What do ya'll recommend for beginners who don't like stuff on their face?

Sorry I took so long-
High-quality concealer, or concealer and foundation. (I recommend Sephora based on personal preference.) Remember to apply to more than you need to cover and blend it or it’ll stick out:)
