Camera pans in on a lone figure walking an abandoned road he's never walked before. Three bags hang from his shoulders. A shot of a road sign that used to say "Welcome to Alliance, Nebraska" but was rewrote in red spray paint to say "Welcome to THE APPOKOLIPS!!"

The scene cuts to a frightened, shaking boy in a hospital bed, praying for his life. Praying that this is all just a dream.
