It's just two worlds: human and spirit. The world of the dead is full of individuals with unfulfilled desires and people they've left behind. Nobody looks human, and nobody remembers their life before. All they know is they began existing one day.
Characters are an amalgamation of symbols that represent their human lives. For example, a clever construction worker with issues making decisions would look like a fox in reflective clothing with a body that tries to walk in two directions at once. There are no character limits—just base appearance off your characters old life—and keep in mind they don't remember any of it.
