Hinata was… happy. She'd had a day off from work, using it to work in the diner and spend time with her family and friends. Even Tatsuo was smiling by the end of it, as Hinata sat on her bed and braiding her hair for the night. She felt like nothing could go wrong, and for the first time in quite a while, she didn't want this to end. She hummed one of her sister's songs softly, smiling. It wouldn't end soon, either. Daniel would be coming in soon, and they'd have their night of fun before things went back to the unwanted normal in the morning.

And of course, her time of calmness wouldn’t last long. As she would sit on her bed, the sheets of the bed would start to flutter a bit as a whisper can be heard. However soft the sound was, it was audible and coherent. It was asking her…
”Have you ever lost someone you love?” the voice, one of a young girl’s whisper, asked. The bedsheet continued to flutter more. ”Have you ever wanted them back?” and before she could answer, the sheets have turned to what could be assumed to be a portal, pulling her down and into, seemingly, the unknown.

She would wake up again in a hallway. Not an empty one, however. A figure could be seen standing not too far away from her. He was in a suit, one which was pitch black like his hair. His eyes, like his necktie, was an attractive crimson red. He could be seen talking to an uninteresting figure in a plain armor as if scolding them as given by the tone and volume of his voice and the action of embarrassment given by the soldier.

Hinata was ready to scream and tear her hair out. It was one thing to pull her through a portal while she was at work, but to do it in her room?! Seriously?! Yes, she'd lost her parents, and she wanted them back most every day, but this was just unacceptable. She didn't much care how young the person who'd done this to her was at this point, if she ever found them she would lose it.
With her hair half braided, Hinata quickly did it up in a knot, the braid framing and holding the ponytail in place. Thank god she hadn't changed into anything skimpy yet, at least. Hinata looked at the other people in the hallway, arms folded in front of her.
"Excuse me," she said, her voice deceptively calm as she moved to make herself known.

The suited man turned to her before turning back to the soldier, sending them off. He then turned to face Hinata fully, raising a small brow.
“May I help you ma’am?” Even if her answer was no, he would help her somewhat. Probably guide her elsewhere at least.

(Me, clapping my hands: and so we begin!!)

"I was just wishing to inquire as to where I am," Hinata said, sighing some. "It seems everyone thinks it's perfectly fine to drag me into whatever drama they have planned." She stared pointedly at the authors, highly disappointed in them both already. She unfolded her arms a bit, keeping her face indifferent for the most part. She couldn't help but let a bit of irritation show, however.

(Me : Indeed it does!)

The suited individual inspected her for a minute before nodding. “You are in the Soul Labyrinth, ma’am. Infamous for its collection of the dead and whatnot,” he answered. “You’re in the Fallen Sector of the Labyrinth, more on that if you’re interested but please follow me out first. Unfortunately, you can’t stay here in the barracks,” with that, the man walked closer to her, only to get a sniff of her scent. “You work at some sort of diner?”

@ElderGodSwimwithGamers group

"I see…" This was… a bit upsetting. Not that she couldn't handle being here, of course, but goodness she didn't want to be here.
"Understandable, of course. I-" What the?? Why did this man just sniff-? You know what, Hinata's experienced worse.
"I own one, yes. I was able to work in it today."

@CasiCasino group

“I see,” he turned to look around.
“Do you know anyone from her? Perhaps we can start from there,” he mentioned with a small look of confusion on his face, possibly at the sudden pause she had after he’d caught her scent. “In case you don’t understand, I’m talking about the Phantoms who live here. You might have seen some of them or at least one of them before…?”

@ElderGodSwimwithGamers group

"Yes, I do," Hinata confirmed. "Matthew Syrain, I'm a friend of his." Hinata could feel the faintest smile forming, but she kept it down for now. Really, she had no idea just who Matthew was on bad terms with, and she hoped this man wasn't one of them.

@CasiCasino group

“Ah! Mister Syrain!” The man’s eyes lit up as a small smile formed on his lips. “Would you like to go meet him then? He’s working not too far away from here today. Oh, and, is your sword conscious or something? I’ve been feeling it shake since it got here,”

Hinata couldn't help but let her smile out now when she saw the man's reaction.
"Yes, I would very much like that." The woman looked down at Kagami with a small frown, placing her hand on the sword.
"Yes, they are…"

@CasiCasino group

He noticed how the woman looked sad when he mentioned her sword. He smiled ruefully and turned around. “Follow me,” he spoke, started to head towards the door at the end of the corridor which would lead… somewhere.

Hinata nodded, looking up again.
"Alright," she said, following after the man without another word. Kagami was refusing to say what was wrong, but Hinata knew something was. She was worried about the girl. Perhaps Matthew would know.

Opening the door at the end of the corridor, the man led Hinata outside to a vast area of land where soldiers were training and whatnot. He sighed while looking at them before he took Hinata elsewhere, namely towards the castle-like structure not so faraway. Once there, he brought her to the garden which was behind the castle structure. There, the brown haired and emerald eyes man can be seen caring for the flowers.
“Matthew!” The butler-like man shouted out as the man looked up.

Matthew’s expression, seeing the woman Zeros had brought, was a mix of confusion, surprise, and happiness. He set the pot of flowers down and hurried towards the two, but mainly to Hinata.
“Hi~! Long time no see!” His arms were open.

Hinata glanced at the soldiers as they passed by, making some notes on their techniques as she did. The woman kept to herself, taking in her surroundings quietly. She wasn't extremely impressed, tired some. Okay, maybe a lot. Still, that left as she spotted Matthew, grinning as she moved to meet him and wrap her arms around his neck in a hug.
"Much too long," she agreed, hugging him a moment more before pulling away.
