but no matter. here's the rundown!

• the characters being assigned will vary in fandoms and such.

• the kin assignment will include: 2+ minor kins and 2+ major kins, reasoning for the kin choices, and 3 quotes from each assigned character.

• the criteria i use for the kin assignments all depend on what info i am given to base the assignment off of.

Backstory: Not very tragic, actually. Nice family, three siblings, both parents, that stuff. My 4th grade teacher is where my trauma stems from. Because of that, I have anxiety related to school and teachers, but I'm doing a lot better the further into high school I get.

Reasoning- Giorno grew up in an unstable household from the get-go. Born the son of Dio Brando (better known as DIO), his mother fled from DIO's mansion and escaped elsewhere. His mother was frequently clubbing at all hours of the night, thus leaving him alone in their apartment. Soon, she married an Italian man, thus making Giorno an Italian citizen. On the outside, the guy seemed like the perfect father, but at home, he was frequently beaten and thrown around like a punching bag. He was also majorly deprived of food, having to scrounge through the kitchen just for a single piece of bread. This, however, made Giorno understand the process of reading people's emotions and body language, which allowed him to better himself.

Reasoning- Doppio is shown to be very fretful and openly naive. Cowardice is also a definitive description of his demeanor. Despite this, he is able to fend for himself (with some help, of course). He's is nice and polite by default; he shows heavy compassion for others, even in spite of his short temper.

Once her task is completed, however, she lightens her act up posthaste and begins making positive moves in her life. She sees the good in some situations but still can become easily disheartened, although she prefers it when she doesn't have to be in a sappy mood.

Personality: Generally a kind person, but very opinionated, headstrong, and not hesitant to let others know what I think when it matters. Backstory: Not tragic, per se, but it has its fair share of struggle. I'm the oldest of two kids (also have two older half brothers but that's more to unpack), always was the responsible one, but always told I was too sensitive, faced a lot of emotional neglect growing up, and it affects me very intensely now. I've always been the anxious type, but I started becoming really depressed three years into high school, and since, I've changed a lot. Maybe I'm miserable at times, but at least I'm a better person. I also met the love of my life third year of high school, and we've been engaged for a while now. They have really helped me to fully become myself, even when I know my family won't be nearly as accepting of my views and identities.
Extra: I love cats. I'm a regular volunteer at a shelter, and I'm planning to adopt asap. I also have a small dog who is the sweetest baby ever (technically my parents' dog, but I live with them for now).

Personality: I'm terrible at this part. I'm quiet and painfully socially awkward but not shy. I never really take myself too seriously and I'm usually extremely laid back but can be a bit of a control freak. I'm prideful but self-aware. Love adventure and learning. I think I generally come off as detached and unfeeling but I have a very private love of soft, small things. Curious, philosophical, introspective. Oh, I'm honest but I think my bluntness often offends people. I can't stand it when people beat around the bush about things.

Backstory: Pretty epic ngl. I was born and grew up in the country. After my best friend moved I gave up on friends and existed in near-complete solitude before I re-learned about friends near the end of primary school. Then I spent high school learning about my identity which was basically many years of essentially tearing myself down for thinking I was different. Accidentally ruined my mental health in the process. Figured out my passions in life. Survived school. Now I'm working, making plans to travel around the country hopefully next year, and mending my mental health and coming to terms with my identity.

She often sticks her leg out for those who need it, and is unapologetic about that fact. She met an unfortunate end, but even so, she is a gift that keeps on giving.

Reasoning- Boris Habit, better known as Dr. Habit, is notorious for coming from a dysfunctional family yet managing to make others happy, despite his methods being extremely unorthodox. His heart is in the right place, but the way he chooses to help others only ends up pushing them away. He keeps trying, even despite this. He truly wants to make the world smile, even if it means pulling a few teeth (that aren't his own) now and then. He sees his own flaws, but he chooses to neglect them in favor of helping others.

Reasoning- Flower Kid, despite being completely normal, has made it their life's purpose to cheer other people up. They often do anything it takes to help anyone who is sad/upset or is just in need of their assistance. A lot about them is unknown, and the only fully realized thing about them is their end-goal in life: make other people smile.

Reasoning- Shuichi is very shut-in and keeps to himself, but when he meets someone and gets to know them, he sometimes can get attached to them. Despite his job as a detective, he finds himself unable to face certain situations that would lead to him losing someone he loves and cares for.
