Been a while. Please note that joining this my replies may be sparse for a while (probably for a long time since I’m busy, but I’m also bored and in the mood for a RP.)

This is a revival/remake of an old RP that I really enjoyed, although it died.

A seemingly normal person in a somewhat normal world meets a person who showed up out of nowhere outside of their house. The catch being this person happens to work for a government, so having someone random show up is..a bit concerning, especially if you look at the way they’re dressed.

So what should you do when you see someone who’s story makes no sense? Report them? Direct them somewhere else? What would you do?

I guess we’ll find out, won’t we.

Basically, here’s a summary:

Person A works for the government. Person B shows up in the area, randomly waking up (I’ll go ahead and say person B is from another world). Person B eventually shows up at person A’s house, Person A can react however they want. Chaos probably happens. Either immediately or eventually.
I would prefer to be person B.

Here are the rules.

  1. This will be a romance of some sorts. I’d prefer it to be straight. I generally play a male character, and I will be for this RP. You’ll probably need a girl for this.
  2. Probably going to be a lighter RP in some areas, but in other areas, it won’t be as much, meaning it could get dark at times. Keep this in mind.
  3. Some forms of violence is probably to be expected. Blood as well. Just remember, there’s a time and place for everything.
  4. Swearing is allowed.
  5. No one liners. They’re very tricky (for me) to respond to.
  6. This list is subject to change, so keep that in mind.
  7. I will admit to being slightly picky (at least for this specific RP) and I will probably ask for a writing sample if I do not recognize your writing style.

Remove brackets when filling out template. They are only there to explain things.

The walk back dragged on longer than expected; it was just a decent distance from the car after all. The sun crept further down the horizon. Dark gray storm clouds hung over the sky staring down at the upset pair. Not a single drop of sound coming from anything except the sounds of shoes against pavement. Nothing was exchanged from the two as they both trudged along. Mason's heavy and hollow eyes kept down while his hands swayed forward with each step. On the other hand, Evane tried to collect herself in an attempt to have the same amount of pride as she had before.

The young woman squeezed her fist as she looked forward. Images from before replayed in her head over and over again. From having to tell her case partner about Charlie's death to their fight in front of everyone, it was screened on the television of her mind. Everything that she built up leading to a complete disaster in front of all the other colleagues. Evane's shoulders became stiff as they were held up. She moved strands of her red hair covering the sides of her eyes. What is the point of it? Why be a complete idiot and work with another idiot?

Out of instinct, Mason glimpsed over at his work partner. Somehow the feeling in the air between them pulled him out of the abyss he was going down; it wrapped around his neck forcing him to look at Evane. It was strange seeing her like this, how she isn't confronting him about the entire fiasco or yelling about this. This wasn't normal at all, that he knew.

"Ev, it wasn't your fault," Mason sighed, "You knew everything; after this whole shitty process we just went through, you know that I am stupid enough to let my emotions fly out."

She stopped walking only slightly turning back. Evane could feel her heart sink deeper into her chest. The hell is he talking about? "Yeah but I was the one that had to clarify it for an idiot like you," she mumbled.

Shaking his head, he placed his hand on his forehead, "Why do you always call me that?"

"Cause you're too slow to grip onto a situation. You let your own thoughts and interests get in the way."

"And what's wrong with that?", he questioned.

Forget it, forget pulling herself together to save herself. Forget being nice to those the agency sets you up with. It's all over, it's time to quit. Evane gave up, there's no point in talking to him anymore. She sprinted over to the car, got in, and drove off to headquarters to get her things.

Mason's eyes widened in surprise as he watched her. He sped over but stepped back as Ev bolted off. Forgetting everything, he ran behind trying to catch up. On the top of his lungs he screamed her name. It wasn't enough, it was too late. The red car disappeared into the horizon as the sun vanished.

Trying to catch his breath, his hands slipped onto his hips. Mason felt his phone buzz in his pocket. The message was from Mister Howard. "Don't go back to headquarters," it read, "Some suspicious activity has been reported in the building."

(Here it is!)

Name: Dahlia Spada
Age: 25
Gender: Female (She/her)
Sexuality: Omnisexual
Nationality: Hungarian/Italian

Appearance: She stands at roughly around 5'7. Her body type is slim, but she has an hourglass figure. The tone of her skin is beige, yet it gets tan pretty quickly when she is outside. Her hair is jet black, it goes down to the middle of her back. Dahlia prefers to keep it up in a ponytail most of the time, she normally wears a hair-tie or scrunchie on her right wrist. She has dark brown eyes that appear to be black in certain lighting, but they always shine. On her nose there are a few very small birthmarks placed on the left side and apex.
Personality: Most of her colleagues would describe her as a hardworking person who doesn't mind overtime. Others say that she is quiet yet someone others can go up to and talk about anything. She tends to keep to herself so it's not unusual if she comes across as cold or stubborn. If you offer her help, she's going to say no even when it comes to very dire situations. Also, if you disturb her while she's analyzing something or deep in work, it won't end well. On the other hand, at home or around people she's comfortable with, she is a different person. Dahlia likes to smile and has a pretty loud laugh that she is terrible at containing. She can be highly protective of others and refuse to let them go.
Background: Dahlia does not remember much of her childhood. When she was a toddler, her parents abandoned her outside of a bookstore. She stayed there for a few hours till a man, named Doctor Antonio Spada, eventually took her to a police station, and later on adopted her. Nothing out of the ordinary happened for a good portion of her life; it was just her and Doctor Spada against the world. Due to her father's occupation, they had to travel a lot. Because of this, Dahlia started gaining interest in the world around her and helping others. She got an internship in the government as an assistant while still in college, but was given a permanent job after graduating. Now, Dahlia works in the foreign relations and investigations department and lives in a small home with a betta fish named Maximillian.
Other: She likes to spend her time watching romance and suspenseful shows despite being able to predict what will happen next in a show.

(Here she is! Let me know if there's anything I should fix.)

@Knick

Name: Florin Strotz
Age: 24
Gender: Male (he/him)
Sexuality: Bisexual with a lean for women
Nationality: Swiss-French

Appearance: Tall is the first thing to come to mind when most people see Florin. He’s about 6’3” in height, with an athletic build. It’s hard to garner much from his physical appearance, though, due to the clothing he wears.

What seems to be some form of body armor. The gear he wears is obviously made to protect him against something, the question being what? Most of it is a dark shade of grey. He also has a bullet vest, and a helmet that sits on his head. Wears a black scarf to cover the lower part of his face. Florin is particularly stubborn on revealing his physical appearance.

Pale skin. Dark blue eyes. Has dark brown hair that he tries to keep neat, but it’s a bit messy most of the time. His hair goes down a bit below his ears, but isn’t extremely long. Has a small and plain tattoo on his left wrist. It’s a set of numbers: 6734.
Has a particularly large scar on his lower right abdomen.

Personality: Florin is more of a follower than a leader. He’s not good at making choices for himself. He’s also not used to normal life as one might call it, and he doesn’t have the best people skills either, meaning he could very easily make situations awkward.
Despite his flaws, Florin is a nicer than average person. He’s curious, and extremely hesitant to use violence. He’s not much of an aggressive person, and it’s hard to push him to that point of aggression. At least, usually hard, although there are a few ways to make him lash out quickly.
95% of the time, he’s nice, basically what I described. The other 5% of the time, on rare occasions…he’s the opposite.

Background: Florin doesn’t remember his early childhood..actually, he doesn’t remember much of his childhood to begin with. He only recalls the faint faces of his parents, that he was selected for this organization at a young age. But he was forced to forget his life from before in the process. Florin’s fellow members of the organization were essentially his family. His squad, that he grew up with, trained with, etc. And when the war began, he had to say goodbye to some of them.
A lot of things happened. But something came along, something that wasn’t supposed to happen at all, and all of the sudden Florin’s been pulled from the war and thrown into a forest. Into a strange new world, where he knows nothing.

Other: Definitely has a few things up in his mind, with something suppressing, or having erased his childhood memories. He says sorry often. Knows both English and French.

(Looks good! Shall I begin?)

@Knick

Florin woke up. He woke up on the forest floor, which wasn’t that odd for him. But the weirdness of this situation was quite clear almost immediately.

The silence. Why was it so silent? Florin’s fingers curled at the dirt below him and he quickly jumped up, using the nearby tree for balance. It was silent. Too quiet, too peaceful for where he was. Or where he should be. His eyes swept around the area but he spotted no tracks, no signs of how he could have ended up here. Florin sighed. He couldn’t keep his nervousness from rising.
He took a look at himself, to check for any possible injuries. He had none. He felt fine, yes, but it never hurt to check. Once Florin was sure he was fine: physically; he pushed himself away from the tree and glanced at the leaves and branches above him.

Birds flew above, and Florin flinched at the sudden movement, even though they were a good distance away. Wait. Birds? Florin wondered, watching them vanish further into the trees. He couldn’t remember the last time he had seen an animal. Florin thought they’d all gone and hid.
He continued to look around, searching, searching for anything that could give him a hint on where he was. But there are nothing. And worst of all, he had just realized his rifle wasn’t on his person. All the more to raise his anxieties, he supposed. He knew no one could use it but himself. But he was in an unfamiliar place, with no idea as to how he got here.

His first order of business would to be to finding out where he was. Maybe Florin could seek out some landmarks, and know where he is from that point. That, and maybe he’d come across his rifle. Maybe. Hopefully.
The sun sank in the sky, late in the day. Light would probably be fading soon, and Florin hoped to find one of those two objectives before night hit.

@knightinadream group

Dahlia had never felt so thankful for the day to be over. Spending all day in that busy government building with others who love to work too is rewarding, yet going home was also something that gets her excited. She parked her car in the driveway then stepped outside.

Everything seemed to be normal. The sun was setting in the west, making the sky above pretty shades of pink, orange, yellow, and blue. Up in the sky was the moon which was almost full. She could here the sounds of some children playing down the street. And yet, something had drawn her attention to the forest. It was a walking distance from her house, but she couldn't help ignore this strange feeling of something being there.

A chill went down her spine as she forced herself to glance away. Nothing is there, why would there be? She adjusted the straps on her work backpack then ambled over to her door. After turning the key, she rushed in and shut the door behind her.

She sat her bag down on a chair then rushed up to her room. In an instant, she got dressed into an over-sized black T-shirt and grey sweatpants. Letting her hair down, she let her red scrunchie on her wrist.

It grew darker as she wandered over to the kitchen. The moonlight shined through her window as she gazed out. Dahlia rested her chin on her hand as a sigh left her lips. The chill from before still lingered in her, she wondered why.

@Knick

Even after wandering, he didn’t see any landmarks, nothing that was familiar to him. His rifle was no where to be found, and with the moon rising, it would become next to impossible to see, given the dark colour of his weapon.

Florin stopped and gave the area another look around. He wasn’t sure where he was going. And to be honest, he had just stepped in a random direction, something he rarely did. But then his eyes caught sight of something. Something unnatural. Something manmade.
A landmark? He almost sprung up at the thought of it, but he realized it was a structure, and one that he didn’t recognize at that.

The area around him was so quiet he could almost constantly hear his breath. Steadying it out, calming himself, Florin made his way forwards, through the trees and towards this structure. Was it a house? A distant howl had him glance back into the darkness, then back to this structure. Not yet exiting from the shelter of the trees, Florin kneeled down and studied the structure, in effort to see if he could recognize anything on it that would give him any ideas. If not, then…well, he’d probably head towards it, cautiously.

@knightinadream group

Maybe it was just her imagination. Nothing out of the ordinary was outside, it's not like she is in a TV show or anything. She couldn't see anything outside except for trees and the moon up in the night sky. Her eyes managed to peel away from continuing to stare outside. The longer she would have looked put there, the more her imagination would end up scaring herself.

Dahlia stood away from the counter to get a quick look at the time. Seven-twenty was the time she found on the microwave timer. Her shoulders dropped as a yawn managed to leave her lips. She dragged her feet over to the fridge in hopes of there being something for her to just take out and microwave. To her dismay, there was nothing which then prompted her to pout while she gave the fish, Maximilian, a quick glimpse.

Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out her phone. It sat in her hand as she started to wander around the kitchen and living room thinking of what she could order for dinner. Something that'd arrive quick and be perfect to eat while watching some sort of movie. Pizza, that's it!

Happily, she hummed after completing the order. One medium pepperoni and Italian sausage pizza with bread sticks. A little message appeared on the screen saying it'd be delivered in fifteen minutes. Dahlia grinned as she fell down onto the sofa. Every now and then, she turned to look over at the door. Some strange feeling of worry was eating at her patience. Her eyes gazed over to the window again. Nothing's there, no one's there. Fifteen minutes shouldn't take that long, right?

@Knick

The building seemed to be in good shape, compared to what he had seen. Maybe this area had somehow avoided the hardships of the war? That would explain the silence.

It didn’t make the silence any less worrying, though.

But there were no clues that Florin could grasp, and he was still without a proper weapon. For what felt like forever Florin sat there, on the grass, considering his options. The best tactic here seemed to be stealth. So stealth, he would do. Tugging his scarf up, a bit closer to his face Florin lowered himself completely to the ground and slowly crawled forwards, assuming the dark of the night would be enough camouflage for him. He wasn’t going to go right up to the building, though. Only a bit closer.

@knightinadream group

Glancing back down at the message on her phone, she bit the inside of her lip. It should be here any moment now, but what if something else is out there? She was sure that her stomach wasn't just grumbling out of hunger, it felt twisted with suspicion. The kind of suspicion you'd get if you were at a haunted house and swear you thought a ghost was there. Hopefully she is wrong, she has no idea what she'd do if she wasn't. Getting up, she swiftly went to the kitchen to grab a knife then took a jacket as she rushed to the door.

Dahlia stepped outside with her arms crossed. At first, she only stood on the porch while leaning to look at the road. No one was there. She couldn't hear anything aside from the sounds of night. The wind, some bugs creaking in the background, cars in the distance driving to places, and a strange slight rustle in the grass. What? Her heart started to pump faster when she heard the sound. She swore that she heard it.

"Vieni fuori, vieni fuori, ovunque tu sia, tu bastardo," She gibed while slowly stepping out into the grass. The movement in her steps were slow. Her fingers gripped onto her phone as she held it out making sure she could see. The look on her face contradicted with the rest of her body. It held her typical calm and cool expression while everything else was rigid. "Come on," She yawned, "Either you come out or I will make you regret trespassing on this lawn for the rest of your life. Che te pozzino ammazza!"

@Knick

What noise entered his ears was a mix of English and some other language. It didn’t sound like Sedorian, though. And that would have been uplifting for him, but it wasn’t, for reasons Florin couldn’t put together. But it did sound like the person..woman, maybe? Was alerted by his presence. He hadn’t been spotted as far as he knew. But he was known.

Almost immediately Florin stopped in his tracks, and kept himself low to the ground. Unfamiliar situation, unfamiliar place, unfamiliar person. Florin could consider himself threatened, but he was also at a loss for options. If he moved, surely the person would see him at this moment in time. According to Florin, his main three options were:

Flee back into the woods, but risk being seen. Florin didn’t really want to do that because this was the first bit of civilization he’d come across in a while.

Stay as still as possible, and risk being caught, but hope that the person doesn’t see you and goes back inside. Florin leaned on that option, a little bit. Although the person’s words; at least the English ones, were beginning to deter him away from it.

Or, he could reveal himself. And that was what Florin was really leaning towards. Because if this was an enemy, then they would have shot out at him the moment they saw him, right? He hoped that was the truth, and they weren’t hoping to lure him into a false sense of security.
After a moment, Florin slowly raised himself off of the ground into a kneeling position. He stayed silent, still close to the tree line and still mainly shrouded in the darkness. He hadn’t actually gotten that far from the trees, he realized as he glanced back. Was it too late for him to retreat?

@knightinadream group

Putting her phone under her chin, she took the scrunchie to help keep her hair up. The knife stood with the handle up in her jacket pocket. In the corner of her eyes, she stared at it for a second before staring across into the darkness. She really didn't want to use it, but on the other hand, she didn't want to stabbed herself. Her heartbeats got louder and faster. Suddenly, it got more difficult to pretend to be calm as her lips started to tremble.

"Don't worry, I'm just as scared as you are. I promise I won't hurt you, but if you don't or you run towards me, I'll use my knife. Come towards me slowly and with your hands up," Dahlia commanded. She took a moment to take a deep breath, in hopes of calming herself down. "With your right hand, show me one finger if you're lost, two if you were kidnapped, three if you are injured, four if you're in danger, or five if you have no idea where you are or what's going on. Do it and we'll go from there, okay? Remember my promise."

She turned the flashlight brightness up once she heard someone stop moving. There was another rustle in the grass. Facing the direction of the sound, she held up her phone. Hesitantly, her fingers wrapped around the handle of the knife as she slowly pulled it out. Who the hell is there? Why? So many thoughts and questions were running around in her mind. A lot of words built up on her tongue ready to fall off, but for a few brief moments, she stayed silent.

Dahlia decided to not move any closer. Whoever it is there, she had no idea if they were armed or not. The idea that she has no clue about this person is really getting on her nerves. If it was a child or something, she is going to feel so terrible. Yet if it is a man or someone dangerous, she isn't sure whether to run or to attack. Despite all of the uncertainty, she forced a, somewhat, reassuring smile.

"I understand if you're stressed out. I'll help you."

@Knick

With his heart thudding in his chest, he wasn’t sure what to do. Florin could withstand high stress situations. But that was only when he had orders on what to do.
As steady as one could be, Florin got off of the ground and stood up. He knows where the other person is, but at this point, they probably know where he is as well. Both are revealed, then.

What did they say before?

Florin glanced down at his left hand, which had a slight shudder to it. He clasped it with his right and and held it still, then looked forwards.
Come to me slowly with your hands up? Or something along those lines, anyway. Was he being asked to surrender? Rare of the enemy to provide such an option, Florin thought, despite not even knowing if this was the enemy or not. Could it be a lie?

Do not give yourself up.

Florin stiffened, still keeping silent. He took a slight step back, his anxiety rising. The option of retreat was beginning to look pretty good.

@knightinadream group

"Please don't kill me," She begged, "Just take a few deep breathes and come forward. I am not going to hurt you, please just show yourself."

Her patience was wearing away. The worry was starting to make her eyes water. She can't take it anymore. Instantly, she regretted taking more steps. They were small, but each one made her shiver with anxiety. Her legs felt so wobbly that she almost lost her balance a couple of times.

When her phone light flashed onto a figure, she immediately jumped back. Dahlia fell back onto the grass as her phone fell a few feet ahead. She could've sworn that she saw a man there. That must be the person. All she could see were his blue eyes, everything else about his face was covered.

Maybe if she attacked first, then she wouldn't be hurt or killed. Curling her hands into fists, she closed her eyes for a second. Her breath hitched as she tried to collect herself. She placed the knife back in her pocket. Carefully picking up her phone, she held it up to get another quick glimpse of the person. How the hell can someone be so gigantic?

Dahlia whispered a small prayer before charging in the direction of the mysterious man. Once she came in contact with him, she tackled him onto the ground. Her hands gripped around the person's wrists forcing them down.

"I have to do everything myself, huh?" She asked. Her eyes stared straight into his. "What? Did you think you could creep up here, kill me, and get away with it? I promised I'd help if you showed yourself, you bastard! What the hell are you doing? Who are you? Answer me! Now!"

@Knick

Yes, I think retreat is the best possible option here. At least wait until daytime, where I can actually see, and maybe find my rifle..wait..are they..?

Barely having time to react, Florin found himself under assault by another person. A move he should have expected, and he was expecting, but at the time time, he wasn’t prepared. His breath hitched and if his heartbeat wasn’t fast before, it sure was now. There was a slight shake in his arms that he attempted to stabilize, but it was hard now, with so many questions and orders being flung at him, he didn’t know what to do.
The only thing he could base his reaction from was a statement he’d learned so long ago. Do not give yourself up, it repeated within his mind.

Merde!” Florin practically shouted, his first reaction. Maybe not the best reaction, but a reaction, either way. “Lâchez-moi!” Although he attempted to speak sternly, there was still panic in his eyes, as well as in his voice.

@knightinadream group

All the fear and frustration that was pent up inside of her faded a little after hearing what the man yelled. Merde? At first she thought he was speaking Italian till she heard his accent and his demand following after. Confusion swept over her face. She quickly gazed around before staring back at the man.

The look in his eyes left Dahlia stunned. A murderer would never have such fear in their eyes nor in their tone. While she really didn't know what he said at first, she figured he asked to let him go. At least, that's what it sounded like to her, but why should she?

A tall man who's eyes are the only visible facial feature wandering outside her home is asking her to let him go and looks scared? She tightened her grip to give herself time to think. There were two outcomes she could see: let him go or stay till he finally answers her questions.

Reluctantly, she did let go. A part of her did believe that the guy was actually scared. It actually looked like he has no idea what's going on. Gently, Dahlia backed off then stood up.

The idea of attacking this mysterious person still lingered in her mind. Her eyes were glued to him, watching his every single move and ready to attack again. She couldn't shake off the fear in her as she offered her hand to him.

@Knick

The moment she lets him go, like a frightened animal Florin backs away. It didn’t seem like she was an enemy soldier per-say. But that didn’t mean that she could be working with them. Florin sees a hand offered to him, but he doesn’t take it. He still doesn’t quite trust the person, even if some of his fears have gone down by the slightest bit.
Eventually, Florin stands back up, back on his feet.

He stays silent for a little bit, taking time to calm himself, all the while going back on what she had been saying before. She appeared to have questioned who he was.

Don’t give yourself up. Don’t give yourself up. Don’t-

“I’m afraid I can’t disclose any of that information,” Florin finally speaks in English this time. But his tone was different. Almost robotic, almost as though this was a line he had repeated many times.
He did not hold eye contact however. Instead, his eyes drifted to the ground.
