Shapes moved across the shore, sleek and lithe, their fur already wet. They sped towards the water of the river and dove in, one after the other. There they stayed. Their eyes glued on the opposite bank, held just above the water, their ears back, hiding themselves from the sights of those who may be watching. Several of them had growls and hisses creeping into their throats.

A brown tabby swam ahead of the rest, scanning the shore for the movement of their enemies. The forest held still. Neither side seemed to want to act first. The tabby kept his ears still, the slightest move from him may make the cats he led charge ahead. He knew how impulsive some of them were and he didn’t want to screw this up.

Finally can get around to sending this 🤩 //

ThunderClan cats slowly stalked closer to the RiverClan border. Keeping their body's low and eyes narrowed as they scanned the river bank and waters for any sort of movement or sounds. Pupils in slits and ears strained to hear even the quietest of pawsteps or whispers. They all hid in thick-leaved bushes, hovering low to the ground and inching forward, their sharp claws out.

All of the ThunderClan warriors present were battle ready; prepared to rake their claws down the sides of the fish-eaters that claimed their hold on Sunning Rocks. And this battle would prove RiverClan wrong.
ThunderClan would be victorious, and Sunning Rocks would finally be in the right paws before RiverClan decided to challenge them again, and lose miserably.

A grey tom with brown patches, his pelt turned black by the shade of the bush he crouched in, held his tail straight. Preparing to give the signal to attack. In the back of his mind, Beechfall knew that a second battle patrol led by ThunderClan's great leader, Havenstar, was nearby. Watching and awaiting to attack.

Beechfall's apprentice, Arcticpaw, was crouched beside him. Her green eyes narrowed and focused. This would be her first official battle with RiverClan over Sunning Rocks, and he knew the little she-cat was determined to prove herself. And not be forced to run back to camp to get help, like the first time this had happened.

The air was cold and the night was dark. Silverpelt wasn't even out tonight to watch the battle that was about to unfold right beneath them. Only chirping crickets, an owls hoot, and the sound of river filled the night air, as both clans hid quietly. Preparing for a fierce battle.

Thornheart shivered, the water of the river was cold, even to the cats of RiverClan. The brown tabby ran over the plan and the cats of his patrol in his head. Personally, he thought the fighting over Sunning Rocks was pointless. Neither side would ever give up, and they would probably keep fighting until the end of the clans. He'd tried to tell Coldstar that but he doesn't think the leader appreciated his opinion.

A small rustle of leaves or sticks came from the opposite shore. Thornheart tried hard to keep his ears still, if he so much as twitched them in the direction of the sound, Wolfclaw or Tigerstrike or even both would immediately run in to fight. The siblings were always ready to fight.

The tom almost wanted to start now and get it over with, win or lose both sides would walk away wounded. RiverClan had lost cats to this silly border feud and Thornheart did not want that to happen to any of the cats behind him. Or even to ThunderClan.

He heard a growl start in the throat of one of the warriors behind him and silently cursed to himself. This battle would start soon whether he signalled for it or not.
