I posted this in my own thread but here ya go:

He felt hollow. Stupid and hollow. His heart drawled in his chest and the feeling echoed until it hit the internal wall of his ribs. In and out, in and out. His breath came, mechanically. Everything felt so grey all of a sudden, as if someone had come along and sucked all the colour out of the world. He looked down at his hands, turning them from front to back to front again. It struck him how silly they were. Muscles and veins and bones and skin. Easy to break. Easy to cut. Easy to lose a finger or two.
He didn’t care. All of a sudden. He didn’t care what happened to him at all. He could be screamed at or kicked or punched or left for dead or thrown through a window. It didn’t matter, he didn’t care. He couldn’t care. The capacity to care had left him in that moment and all that was left was the hollow feeling in his chest

Yippee

"I miss the sea," Ines rasped. Deep in his throat, Renier felt a choking feeling. Where his gills would have been.
"The sea is all around us," he said, his voice quieter than he'd intended. From the window, Renier could peer out over the water, but only glanced. "It is in the air, and you can see it from here. You are never far from the water. No one is."
"That's not what I meant." Ines lifted her head slightly, arms tightening around her knees. "I miss Valiance, I miss Katz and Micah. Tahlia. Darius." Her eyes went wide. "Do you think they know where I am?" her voice dipped to a hoarse whisper. Silently, Renier prayed she wouldn't cry.
"… No." Renier leaned on the wall, back to the concrete. "I don't. But that doesn't matter, because we will find a way back."
"I should have never left." She blinked a few times. "I should've never gone anywhere. I swore I'd be loyal. That I'd never be afraid again." Whipping her head around, Ines stared at Renier, her shoulders trembling. He felt the choking deepen and fester. "I'm trying," she breathed. "I need to help. I need to save you. I need to save everyone.
"Do you always have to be the hero?" Renier asked, avoiding Ines' eyes. It kept his voice steady.
"I have never been the hero."

(Trans girl Link, possible BoTW spoilers? This is after BoTW, like a few months after. Also this is a sickfic. Link is disassociated and very sick in this excerpt.)

~TW child abuse, hitting, illness, dissociation.~

When Zelda sat her on the bed, she managed to sign, “Don’t hit me!” Her hands were shaking as Zelda’s eyes widened. “No, Link, no… I’m not going to strike you. What makes you think that?” “Training.” Was all Link was able to sign. Zelda’s blood went white-hot with rage. They had hit Link in training?! She knew Link most likely barely remembered this, had probably only just gained the memory, but that was no comfort. What you don’t remember can still haunt you. And the context of the memory appearing most likely meant Link had been hit or otherwise punished for being sick. Probably for stimming or not speaking as well. There were better ways to train knights, and this is how they chose to do it? If only she’d known before the Calamity… She had been the princess, she could’ve put a stop to it! She was sure her father had known, sure he had done nothing. He had been the king, he couldn’t not know. Okay. She could hunt down her father’s spirit and give him an earful later. Link had said she met him on the Great Plateau. But at this point, Link needed her. “May I sit on the bed with you? I promise I’m not going to hurt you.” Link nodded, so Zelda sat down next to the disassociating girl. “Do you… want a hug?” Link, in answer, scooted over to Zelda. So Zelda put her arms around Link, pressing a kiss to sweaty hair. Spontaneous kisses weren’t something Zelda usually did, even in the context of of a QPR, Link usually needed to ask. But Link seemed to be soaking up the attention like she’d never had it before. The princess hummed a song, an old lullaby that was probably thousands of years old. She then noticed Link shivering. “Here.” She grabbed a fluffy blanket from the end of the bed and pulled it over both of them. “Here you go, lovebug.” She didn’t ask her about what had happened in training. She could do that later, when Link wasn’t disassociated and trembling. More tears came. Zelda wiped away the tracks left on Link’s cheeks, doing her best to soothe. “It’s alright. I’m not going to let anyone hurt you ever again. Whoever did this to you isn’t coming back. They’re… probably dead, to be perfectly honest. It’s most likely you outlived them. It’s okay. Just get the tears out of your system.” Link released her iron grip on Zelda’s shirt to sign, “You’re not mad? I’m supposed to be the hero, right?” “I’m not mad, not at you anyway. It’s whoever did this to you I’m upset with. And please, don’t worry about being the hero anymore. Ganon is gone, we did what we needed to. You can just be Link now.” Link, again gripping Zelda’s shirt tightly like a small child, scooted closer to Zelda. Laying her head on Zelda’s chest, she yawned through her tears. What time was it? A quick glance at the clock gave Zelda the time of 2:35. So it was early. She looked back down at Link. Link was slowly falling asleep in her arms. It was probably a good idea to tuck her in and go deal with the bucket. Okay. Tuck Link in, then deal with the bucket. She could do this.
