The country of Eshia is a land ruled by a harsh queen regnant, known for her brutal laws and unforgiving nature. While neighboring countries are full of trade and prosperity, Eshia is falling apart from the inside out. It’s riddled with deception, backstabbing, and most importantly a growing rebellion determined to uproot the throne. The queen’s rule is getting stricter every week due to this, and the unrest is almost palpable. The only thing holding the kingdom together is the fact that the heir to the throne, the queen’s daughter, is missing. The queen is tearing apart the country to find her, and her daughter has been evading her for months now.
This story is about two rivaling characters searching for the queen’s daughter. One is a rebel, a commoner who lost everything to the queen, and who is knee-deep in every shenanigan the rebellion pulls. The other is a soldier who is one of the most elite trackers in the royal military, a high-ranking noble who hasn’t tasted a moment of poverty, only a life full of training and pain. When the soldier is released on a solo mission to track down the queen’s daughter, and one of the rebellion’s sabotage plans goes wrong, the rebel and tracker are forced to work together to look for the princess. All they have to do is learn not to strangle each other.

Alright, so this is the basic gist of the RP I'm craving at the moment. There is for sure going to be an enemy to lovers thingy going on, as well as quite a lot of action, so be prepared if you want to join :)

Rules:

  • So this thing is probably going to be rated mature, but this can be negotiated.
  • Romance is quite likely, and anything steamy will be taken to the pms or skipped over.
  • Cursing is fine, but not as intense as every other word
  • I’m looking for an experienced RPer, someone who is comfortable with 1-3 paragraph responses, at bare minimum 3 sentences
  • I also ask that you can reply more often than once a month, or at least can let me know ahead of time if you’re going to disappear
  • Andrews rules apply
  • LGBTQ+ is totally allowed
  • Please ask before joining, and be prepared to post a writing sample if I don't know your style
  • There might be some triggering subjects present so beware

That’s all I can think of, for now, feel free to ask questions though, and if someone shows interest I will put up a character template.

Farah's eyes widened suddenly as she caught sight of the Burned One. It stalked through the forest, snarling and growling as it went. As much as her body told her to panic, she forced herself calm. Remember to keep your emotions in check. Runaway fear leads to runaway magic. Maintain readiness, she told herself. As every muscle in her body became tense, she felt something brush against her wrist. Her normal reaction would be to jerk her head towards whatever was touching her, but she knew movement like that would attract the Burned One in their direction. So, instead, she slowly tilted her head to the side to catch a glimpse of Saul's side profile as his fingers slipped through hers. Suddenly, she felt stronger. And knowing he needed the support as much as her, she gave his hand a reassuring squeeze back.

(If you don’t mind I prefer the rebel then! I can get a character sheet up within a few hours if you’d like to jump to characters? In the meantime, if you have any questions feel free to post them!)

(Sounds perfect! I already have an idea for the character I'll be using. Will your character be male or female, because I was planning on using a female character.)

@gracehustle

(Here's my girl!)
Name: Atria Valens
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Sexuality: lesbian to the max
Appearance: Atria is a pretty simple girl appearance-wise. She has wavy, caramel brown hair that's long enough to brush her lower back, but rarely it's seen out of a braid. Paired with her barely tanned skin and jade green eyes, she still isn't anything interesting. She stands at about 5'5" and from years of not much food, is whip-thin, though the muscle she has is visible. Her only other defining features have to be the large jagged cut right above her left knee, and what used to be a large burn on her right arm, which now has morphed into nothing more than a large patch of new mismatched skin.
Clothing: She has one reliable outfit that consists of a pair of raggedy brown pants that are about two inches too short, a dirty and worn tan t-shirt, and deep brown work boots that are well torn at the seams. Occasionally she wears her prized leather jacket, which isn't in much better shape than the rest of her outfit, though it is worn enough that it's very soft.
Personality: Atria is tough, and has a fiery temper. She's confident and a bit of a smartass, both of which get her into a neverending loop of trouble. The few people that know her better than that will claim without a doubt that she's more loyal than the tides and is a playful person in general, though this side of her is rare to see unless children are around. Skilled at spinning lies. More will be revealed in the rp.
Background: She was born into a low-class family that didn't have much, the oldest of three children and the only one that survived past birth. Her mother died of sickness when she was sick, and between her and her father, they managed about five more years before debt caught up to them. At that time, soldiers came to demand the money owed. When her father couldn't pay, he was taken to prison and she was forced to live in the streets, only to learn that her father was killed a few months later. From then on she lived on the streets, only finding a home again at fourteen with an old woman named Spesa. That was how she was brought into the rebellion, and when Spesa was caught and killed for treason against the crown, the rebellion became her new family. Now she's been working with them for years.
Likes: Fire (As long as she's not too close to it) animals, but specifically hawks, heights
Dislikes: The water as she can't swim, bugs, boats, and the Queen
Other: She can barely read, and has never attempted to try writing anything.

(So sorry I’ve been MIA all day. I started my character and got a decent way through, but I’m at work orientation now. I’ll finish her when I get home. Love Atria by the way!!! :))

Name: Farah Dowling
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Appearance: Farah is an attractive woman with dark brown eyes and ash blonde hair. She has a soft but defined jawline, and her figure is lean and curvy, even with the muscles she's developed from years of training and battles. Farah is tall for a woman – 5'10" – and has long legs. She has a tattoo on her index finger of a line circling above her knuckle and three dots closer to her fingertips, and she speaks with a British accent.
Clothing: She typically wears fine clothes, made of silk or leather, in the colors of the queen (going to go out on a limb and say green, white, and gold, if that's cool). When she appears in public with her family, she wears an emerald green dress (floor length, cowl neckline, poet sleeves) with white and gold filigree, sharp white heels, and her hair in a beautifully chaotic, somehow braided updo. In the comfort of her home, she wears button-up blouses (in lots of colors, but mainly white, pink, and navy blue), black "dress pant" like pants, black flats, and her hair in a loose low bun at the nape of her neck. In battle, she dons the queen's colors with a green tunic with white accents and gold armor that is specific to her measurements and designed to be both light and durable. In battle, she wears her hair in a high ponytail with a few wispy pieces framing the sides of her face.
Personality: Farah is typically a very closed-off and hardened woman, coming off as tough or having a hard outer shell. She has what could be defined as trust issues, but when someone can get past her stoic exterior, she's a total softie –kind, caring… motherly, almost. Even though she has trust issues, if someone earns her trust, she is loyal to a fault. She also can be reckless and headstrong in situations where she needs to be patient, however, she also tends to overanalyze at times as well. The overanalyzing happens when she is plotting out battle strategies with her fellow soldiers, but in the heat of the moment, she is known for her "thoughtlessly calculated" tactics. Her presence takes up an entire space from the moment she enters, which can cause her to initially come off as more intimidating than she actually can be.
Likes: Training, thunderstorms, lilies, books, cats, her clothes
Dislikes: Her parents, the princess (solely because she ran away), her trainers
History/Past: Farah is a soldier in the Eshian army. She's been training since her teenage years to be one of the most elite trackers in the royal military. She is the daughter and only child of a high-ranking noble family who were determined to make her succeed, whatever the cost. So Farah spent hours upon hours in training sessions, working herself continuously to hone her techniques in both hand-to-hand combat and with various assortments of weaponry. Some sessions were better than others, but oftentimes, her trainers worked with Farah until the young girl passed out completely. Farah used to have bruises down her arms and back from falling since no one ever attempted to catch her. The sessions still haunt her. All Farah had wanted to do as a girl was impress her parents and the queen, who she was taught to respect, serve, and above all, fear. While her family and trainers had given her guidance, it wasn't the guidance Farah really needed. Her parents made it abundantly clear on multiple occasions that Farah’s natural fighting abilities were the only reason she was valued in Eshia. Now that Farah has officially become a member of the royal military and the most accomplished tracker, agent, and fighter, she has a different kind of allegiance to the queen. Farah serves her well, but on the inside, she is utterly terrified of her.
Other: She used to have a lover (I didn't include it in her past because you/Atria will have to discover more about it… ;))

(How is she…?)

@gracehustle

(I love her :D The royal colors work well by the way, and gods I'm so excited to learn about Farah's past! Do you have any questions before we get things going here? I might be able to get something up before I go to bed, but it'll be iffy)

@gracehustle

(Ah shit yup, give me a sec I'll change that. I had Atria made for a former rp of mine and I skimmed over that info. Sorry about that)
