(Warning: Minor Danganronpa V3 spoilers)

After a sacrifice had been made, the survivors of the killing game could finally be free, but like those who died, not long after the sacrifice, their vision faded to black. Before anyone knew it, they were back in the real world. The killing game was nothing but a simulation, and the sixteen killing game students were all alive and well, aside from mentally scarred due to what they had to witness and endure during the game.

When Kiibo awoke, he was surprised to see that he was in a human body. After spending the last year of his life in a simulation where he was a robot, it was certainly strange to see that he was a human outside of the simulation. He wasn't entirely sure how to feel about that, but he was sure that he would adjust to it over time. First, however, he really needed to check on the others. There was a certain someone in his mind as well.

While he wasn't sure where the desire came from, he had a desire to check on Kokichi. At some point during the game, he had grown to like him a little bit, enough to consider him a friend rather than an enemy like he had when they first met, and he wanted to check on him. He had to. Something bad could have happened to him, especially as he remembered how he died and how he was poisoned before his death. If that carried over to the real world, it was unclear if he was alright.

While it took a moment for him to be able to get up, as he hadn't used his human body in a year, he eventually made his way to Kokichi's room. He found it difficult to walk, both due to being unused to his body and weak from being in a simulation for an entire year, but he was sure that he would be alright. Besides, he needed to get to Kokichi first. That was still his top priority.

Once he entered Kokichi's room, he managed to give him a small smile as he waved at him. He slowly made his way over to the other's bed, and then he sat down in the chair next to it. Now that he didn't have to worry about keeping himself standing, he could talk to the other and make sure that he was alright. He really didn't know if he was or not, but he still wanted to talk and make sure of things.

"Hey," he spoke softly after a moment. "It's kinda strange thinking that I'm a human… I guess the killing game was all a simulation, but that's a good thing. We're all alive. Are you alright, though, Kokichi?"

There was a hint of concern as he asked his question. He truly was worried about the other, so he had to express that through his words. He wouldn't say anything else so the other could have some time to respond, but his expression showed his concern as well. He truly hoped that he would get an answer, and he would prefer if it was a good one, although it wouldn't surprise him if something was wrong.

Kiibo was a bit confused when Kokichi asked him who he was, but he didn't think much of it. He was back in his human body, and while he looked very similar to his in-game counterpart, he wouldn't have been surprised if it took a second for Kokichi to recognize him, so he didn't worry much about it at the time. There was a bit of concern in his mind, but he didn't outwardly express it.

"Oh? It's just me, Kiibo," he responded softly. "I know it may not seem like it since I'm a human in this world rather than a robot, but it's still me, don't worry. As I said before, it's strange that I'm a human in this world, but I can assure you that I am still the same Kiibo that you met in the game. You teased me a lot, but we became friends, so I hope these memories can confirm to you that I'm not lying about my identity."

After he spoke, he sighed softly. He was still a bit confused about it all, but he hoped that Kokichi would believe him rather than think that he was lying about everything. He was still a bit worried about the other, but he had yet to express it. Maybe it would all be okay. He just needed to see what he would say in response. As long as he recognized him after that, then things would be okay.

Kiibo was concerned the moment that Kokichi asked who he was again. Why did he not have any memories of him? They had known each other the entire killing game, and while they didn't get along at first, they were on good terms when Kokichi's life ended. Was the poison really taking effect despite the fact that the game was a simulation? That didn't make much sense, but it would explain why he seemed to be lacking some of his memories.

"U-um…I am…" he responded after a moment. He hesitated speaking due to how worried he was, but maybe he could clear this up. Maybe Kokichi was just messing with him? It would be a cruel joke, but it was the only idea that his mind came up with to stop him from worrying too much. "Is…this some sort of cruel joke? I wouldn't be surprised, but this is just cruel… Kokichi…you do know who I am, right…? Be honest with me…"

His tone expressed all of his concern as he spoke, although he did try to keep it hidden. He was trying to convince himself that it wouldn't be the case, that he was just messing with him, but it really felt like he was being genuine. Had the poison really taken effect on his physical body? That didn't make much sense, but it seemed like it was the case, which heavily concerned him.

@Gaytective-Saihara

Kiibo could tell that Kokichi's words were genuine, which both saddened and concerned him. Kokichi really had forgotten who he was, which meant that the poison likely had affected his mind and body despite the game being a simulation. Would he eventually die as a result? He didn't really know, but he wanted to make sure that he would be alright. Maybe there would be times where he remembered as well. Maybe it would all be okay one day. He hoped so, but he knew that Kokichi's fate was likely death as his physical and mental condition would continue to deteriorate.

"I-it's fine…" he responded after a moment. Tears filled his eyes as he looked away from him. "J-just…just so you know…yes, my name is Kiibo… W-well…i-it's a nickname…b-but it's what…it's what I was called…in Danganronpa, a-and it is…one of my actual nicknames… D-do you…remember your name…? Please…t-tell me…what you remember…"

As he spoke, he couldn't help but cry. It was why he turned away from Kokichi to begin with. He couldn't believe that he was so upset over something like this, but he was worried about his friend and scared that he would die as a result of the poison. His memory was already beginning to fail him, and even if it was only a temporary lapse at the moment, it would eventually become permanent. Either way, he swore to himself that he would help Kokichi no matter what happened.

@Gaytective-Saihara

Kiibo nodded in response to the comment. So Kokichi vaguely remembered the killing game, or at least his own death, as well as his own name, although he barely knew that, at least in his current state of mind. He really hoped that it was a momentary lapse in memory, though. If it was, there was at least some hope that things could get better for him with time.

"Yes…your name is Ouma…Kokichi Ouma, to be exact…" he told him. "As for what happened…you were crushed by a hydraulic press…which, concerningly…was your own plan… You were wearing Kaito Momota's jacket…to make everyone think that he had died… The plan failed…but the killing game ended at some point…after I sacrificed myself… I hope that you remember something at some point…"

@Gaytective-Saihara

Kiibo sighed softly as he shook his head at the first comment. He didn't kill Kaito, as he was the one to go through with the plan, and he ended up dying for reasons that weren't related to the killing game at all, so he was just lying to himself. Yes, he was the reason that he had a trial to begin with, but the plan was to end the killing game with that trial.

"No, you didn't kill him…" he assured him softly. "What killed him was something completely unrelated to the killing game, so it wasn't your fault… Besides, the trial was meant to end the killing game, so the reason for the trial was that… It's not your fault, Kokichi. It really isn't…"

@Gaytective-Saihara

Kiibo sighed softly at the question, but he figured that the reason was because none of the killing game participants could be released until the game was over. It made sense for why everyone woke up at the same time despite how they all died at different points in the game. It had nothing to do with what Kokichi did in the game. It only had to do with how the game was run.

"They woke us all up at the same time, Kokichi," he explained. "They weren't going to wake participants up until the game ended. That's why you didn't wake up sooner. We all woke up at the same time."

@Gaytective-Saihara

Kiibo was worried when he saw that there was blood dripping down Kokichi's chin, but he wasn't surprised by it since he had already figured that he was dealing with the effects of the poison from the game. It still didn't make sense how that was even possible, but he was really worried about him. If this continued, he was going to bring a doctor in, but at the time, he just continued the conversation. Kokichi had only woken up a bit ago, so he didn't want to overwhelm him.

"A-are you alright…?" he asked softly. "Well, obviously not… You were poisoned…but I'll try my best to make sure that nothing bad happens to you…! I promise…!"

@Gaytective-Saihara

As they entered the room, it was obvious that Kaito seemed to be sorry about how their plan had failed in the game. He was smiling, but to someone like Kokichi, it was obvious that he was trying to hide something, although he wouldn't admit it until the others were gone. Shuichi seemed to be sorry as well, likely for how he treated Kokichi during the game, and he apologized as soon as he entered.

"I'm sorry for what I said during the game," he apologized. "You're not a bad person, and you don't deserve to be alone… I hope you can forgive me with time."

@Gaytective-Saihara

Everyone was concerned when Kokichi asked who all of them were, and Kiibo knew that he was having another memory lapse. Kaito seemed to notice this as well after a moment, likely because he was there when Kokichi got poisoned. He likely knew what the effects of the poison were, and he seemed surprised to realize that the poison was affecting him in the real world.

"The poison…" he murmured after quietly gasping. "How…? How is the poison affecting him in the real world…?"

@Gaytective-Saihara

As this occurred, Shuichi left the room so he could get a doctor as Kiibo and Kaito discussed the poison and how it was affecting Kokichi. With both of their accounts, they would know most of what was going on, and then they could hopefully explain that to a doctor and get Kokichi the help that he needed before he could die as a result of the poison. It was a bit of a race against time, but maybe things would be alright.

@Gaytective-Saihara

Shuichi returned with a doctor a couple of minutes later, and then they listened as Kiibo and Kaito tried their best to explain the effects that the poison was having on him. They didn't seem to believe the mentions of poison, but they said that they would try to help him through everything. After that, the visitors were simply kicked out of the room for the time being.
