Does anyone have any plots I can use for NaNoWriMo? I have a lot of stuff happening and I haven't been able to figure out a plot. I'd prefer a story with subtle (or not so subtle) fantasy elements that I could give characters weird names in
Hello! I don't actually know what NaNoWriMo is, but here's some fantasy ideas I've been thinking of and don't have time to write, if you're interested!
- Urban fantasy universe where the vast majority of the planet is immortal. What's it like living in this world as a mortal human? Or having a good friend/SO who's human?
- Local village is terrorizing local dragon. Dragon hires a knight to go on a quest to make the village stop.
- An artist has been thrown out of his village for sorcery because every time he paints an animal, it comes to life. He needs to find his way/purpose in the world (Not really a fully developed plot idea, but I love the idea. Draws inspo from Japanese myth 'The Boy who Draws Cats.')
- A young, pacifist, vegetarian, completely harmless nun accidentally summons and binds a deity known for destruction and chaos from it's imprisonment. They have fantastic adventures and argue a lot, along with the nun's best friend, the local Apothecary. (Bonus points if the nun doesn't end up having 'character development' where she looses her respect for all life and peacefulness- ideals are a good thing characters have!!! Taking them away isn't necessarily an improvement on the character!!! @ every book and show ever.)
