Spoilers for Danganronpa V3)

Pitch, empty blackness. That was all that Kiibo saw as he felt his body be blown to pieces in his act of self destruction, his sacrifice to end the killing game that his friends were trapped in. He thought that it would be all he would ever see again as his senses faded away. That was until he felt someone shaking him, causing his eyes to quickly open. A feeling of confusion washed over him as he took in his surroundings. He was alive? How could that be?

As he tried to figure out how he regained consciousness, he looked at the person who had shaken him awake. To his surprise, it was his old classmate, Kokichi Ouma, whose life had been lost in the killing game. His death was an attempt to end the game as well, although it had gone wrong. He didn't understand how he was seeing him. He was dead, wasn't he? Then again, he thought that he was dead himself only two seconds prior. How was he seeing him?

"Ouma-kun?" he asked as his view of the boy became clearer. There was no denying that it was Kokichi. "How…am I seeing you? You're dead…and I'm supposed to be dead… What is going on? Just…how can I see you right now, and how can you interact with me? This doesn't make sense."

It was clear from the robot's words that he had no idea what was going on. From how he understood things, if he died, he wouldn't have any sort of an afterlife. He wasn't even sure if he believed that humans had one. However, nothing made sense. Kokichi was certainly dead, and he was supposed to be as well. He really didn't understand how he could be interacting with anyone at the time, especially someone who had died.

Kokichi felt the golden tears drip down his face, his white wings embracing the space around them. " This.. this is the afterlife, you've made it." He said softly
"I always knew you had a soul."

Kiibo sat up as he looked around the surrounding area. Most of what he could see were Kokichi's wings, although the wings in general supported the idea of them being in the afterlife. Even so, he tilted his head in confusion when he was told that he was in the afterlife. From what he knew about himself, that was impossible.

"But…that isn't possible," he responded as he looked at Kokichi. "As far as I'm aware, due to not being a human, or really a living being in general, I lack a soul. That's something I always thought was true about myself, and I am unsure how that appears to have been false. I admit, I am grateful for this second life, although it leaves me wondering how this is possible."

While he didn't express it due to his confusion, he was also glad to see Kokichi again. He didn't think that he would be able to since he didn't think that it was possible for him to go to the afterlife. It was certainly a pleasant surprise, though. He felt oddly happy to be reunited with Kokichi, although he couldn't figure out why. He never knew what he felt when it came to him, but he was saddened when he realized that he died, and he was relieved to see him again. He never understood it, but he didn't bring it up at the time.

Kiibo nodded in response to Kokichi's comment as he returned the hug. It was still a lot for him to process, but he could focus on being back with Kokichi and glad that he was alive again, in some way. He was really glad that he could be with Kokichi again, although he didn't know why that was. He was glad that he was the one to wake him up, though.

"I am glad to be here, really," he responded softly. "While I am rather confused about it all, I am glad to be here, and I must admit, I am happy to see you again as well. I'm not entirely sure why, but I am."

@Gaytective-Saihara

At first, Kiibo wasn't entirely sure what Kokichi meant, but then he remembered his sacrifice and nodded in response to the statement. He was glad that it worked, that his friends were free from the killing game, even if it did cost him his life. Besides, even if he had died, he was back with Kokichi and his friends were safe, so it was the best outcome he could get.

"It did, didn't it? That's good," he smiled softly. "Now the other three are safe and can start a new life as the survivors of a killing game. They'll be alright."

@Gaytective-Saihara

Kiibo wasn't entirely sure what to say to the comment. He didn't think that there was a way for him to return to the regular world. His body had been completely destroyed, and the remaining survivors would have no idea how to rebuild him. The only student who was capable of that was Miu Iruma, and she was also dead.

"I doubt they'd be able to bring me back," he responded. "It doesn't bother me much, though. My death saved them, and they're safe now. I think it all worked out in the end."

@Gaytective-Saihara

Kiibo hummed in thought at the response. If all he needed to return was a body, would building one for Kokichi allow him to return to the real world as a robot as well? It was certainly a possibility, and he could likely get his father to agree to building one.

"If all I need is a body to return, then maybe that's all you need," he responded after a moment. "Sure, you'll return as a robot, but that shouldn't be a problem. You'll be back in the real world with me, if that's all it takes."

@Gaytective-Saihara

Kiibo shook his head at the comment. He didn't think that Kokichi was a bad person, despite how he behaved in the killing game. Behind the evil persona of lies and manipulation was someone who was just scared of getting close to people and being vulnerable. He wasn't a bad person; he just hid who he truly was.

"No, you were not. Sure, you have this evil persona, but that was never the real you," he responded. "I may not be the best at understanding this sort of thing, but if you didn't have the ability to care for others, you wouldn't have tried to end the killing game, even if it cost your life. You do care; you just have difficulty showing it. You deserve a second chance, so I'll ask my dad to build you a body once mine is rebuilt."

@Gaytective-Saihara

While Kokichi's statement was true, all he would have to do was tell his father that he was close to him. That would likely be enough to convince him to build a body for him, so it was definitely possible for him to do so. He really hoped so since he wanted to be with Kokichi.

"If I tell him that we're close, he should listen," he responded softly. "I don't think he'd mind as long as he knows that we're close."

@Gaytective-Saihara

Kiibo shook his head at the statement. He knew that Kokichi was lying when he said that he wasn't close because he wouldn't have hugged him like he did once he saw him if he didn't consider them to be close. It was actually a rather obvious lie with what he knew about him.

"That's a lie. If you didn't consider us close, you wouldn't have hugged me or even bothered to wake me up," he told him. "Your behavior alone implies an attachment to me. In a way, we are close. I know that."

@Gaytective-Saihara

Kiibo ended up holding Kokichi close to him, although he did question his current behavior. It was strange of him to act like that, so he wasn't sure what was going on at the time. Could he really not hide that he was lying? That was certainly unusual.

"Ouma-kun?" he asked softly. "You know that I have a point, but are you alright? I find your behavior a bit strange…"

@Gaytective-Saihara

Kiibo nodded in response, and he was rather proud of Kokichi for finally being honest with him. He was glad that he wanted to be honest with him and was finally done putting a mask up since he knew that it must have been tiring for him to keep doing it. He wanted to see the real Kokichi. He knew that he was a good person behind that mask that he put up.

"I'm proud of you for being honest," he responded softly. "You don't have to put a mask up when you're with me. You can be yourself. I'd prefer that, actually. I would like to get to know the real you, if that is alright."

@Gaytective-Saihara

Kiibo tilted his head in response to the comment, as he didn't entirely know what Kokichi was talking about at the time. He hoped that everything was alright with him, but he was a bit concerned about him. He decided that he was going to ask about it so he could figure things out and try to help him.

"I'm not entirely sure what that means, but whatever you mean, it's not bothersome, at least to me," he responded. "From my understanding, it seems to be something that's more out of your control. It's alright, really."

@Gaytective-Saihara

Kiibo nodded in response when Kokichi thanked him, although he wasn't sure if showing basic human kindness was something that he needed to be thanked for. Of course, he knew that most people in the killing game weren't very nice to Kokichi, but it saddened him a bit to think that someone would thank him just because he showed them some basic kindness. It really made him wonder about what went on in Kokichi's life, even before the killing game.

"You're welcome, although I'm unsure why you're thanking me to begin with," he stated. "All I really did was show you some genuine kindness, which, in my opinion, is what most people need to show others, so I don't see why you felt the need to thank me. I'm only expressing that I care."
