@King_Cyrus

I have some RP ideas that I would really like to try. If anyone is interested, I'm willing to do each of these at LEAST once and may perhaps reboot some of them. My rules and requests are the same for each and are listed after each prompt. If you're interested in doing any of these, just let me know here or via DM. Thanks a million.

  Prompts

Prompt #1: Heir to the throne x Soldier or Mercenary

In a modern day (or low-key futuristic) style world, Character A has built a reputation for their cunning and bravery. Perhaps they are a well-respected soldier (knight?), known for operating justly and strategically, or maybe they are something a bit less noble, like a mercenary who works for whoever pays the most. Regardless of what they are (or whether they are viewed positively or negatively), they are known for having incredible skill and courage.

Character B, on the other hand, is the heir to the throne of one of the most powerful kingdoms around. The problem? They are not currently fit to rule. Perhaps they are too reckless and troublesome, or perhaps they are too insecure and anxious to be King/Queen. Maybe they are too aggressive or selfish; maybe they are too naive and fearful. Regardless, they will one day rule the Kingdom, and they are far from ready.

The characters meet through a series of events that will vary depending on what kind of character A is. If they are a soldier in the King's army, perhaps B gets kidnapped by a neighboring kingdom or mercenaries, and A must rescue them. Conversely, if A is a mercenary or enemy soldier, they may be the kidnapper of B.

The plot can be tweaked or refined to our liking. I would be fine with either role of characters.

[NOTE: For both this prompt and the next, I like the idea of either kingdom having kind of oppressive, dystopian-ish vibes. Maybe the characters can work to change this throughout the RP? It's worth considering.)

Prompt #2: Obsessive mild psycho King/Queen x Someone who is concerned and probably should be

In a modern-day (or lowkey futuristic) world, the Queen of a powerful kingdom has just passed away, leaving the throne to her oldest child, Character A. Character A is eager to take on the new role as the King/Queen, but some of the soldiers and advisors are a bit worried about their new leader's mental state, as they are slightly… well, unhinged. They don't seem to be a complete psychopath, but they're not necessarily sane, either.

And they have also decided that they want a partner to help them rule.

Character B has a variety of options. They could be a bodyguard of A, a soldier in the army, an enemy soldier, a mercenary hired to assassinate A, or even just some pleb who is considered a nobody. But through some odd series of events, A becomes infatuated with B… who initially is not interested whatsoever and may or may not be rightly terrified. A becomes obsessive and wants to keep them in the palace.

I don't really know how this would end, honestly, but I am interested in seeing it play out. I would especially love to be A for this one, but I could totally pull off B as will if you wanted to be A. There's a lot of wiggle room for the character of B though, because I think this would be pretty interesting either way.

Anyway these ideas just kinda randomly came to me, and if anyone wants to do one that'd be grand. Rules are basic.

  • Cursing needs to be kept PG-13 and below. Don't drop an f-bomb or I'll have to drop you. Sorry.
  • Don't be vulgar. There will be some mature themes in these RPs probably, but I'd still like to keep it reigned in to a PG-13 level. No need to be nasty. If you're not sure about something you can ask; I don't bite as long as I know you're tryna work with me. :)
  • Blood, gore, violence, etc. will probably be part of this. I love dark themes so if we can think of things to make this darker, please be my guest.
  • No demons or magic please. I'd rather not go down any of those routes if we can. Normal laws of physics apply.
  • No auto-hitting or auto-dodging. Fighting between characters is great but try to keep it realistic.
  • Don't worry about inactivity. I'm wack when it comes to being on regularly so I'm not gonna be picky about how often you can post.
  • There won't be any explicit sex scenes but there might be references and some mild innuendos if you're okay with that.
  • Yeah that's basically it. If you have requests/questions I try to be easy to work with so just let me now.

Ciao.

@King_Cyrus

I don't have a preference at all. You can pick with prompt and which character role you want. For the first prompt, I have no preference on character role at all, but in the second one, I'd like to be A but would also be 100% content with B. It's all up to you. Also, any specific kinda dynamics you like? My character's gender will probably be male regardless.

@larcenistarsonist group

I really like the first prompt and I have a character for both A and B, so I don't really care. Both of my characters are female. I think I like the mercenary role a little more though XD

@King_Cyrus

Awesome! Let's go with it, then. Do you think she'd pair better with like… a spazzy soft naive boy that needs protecc, or more of a troublemaker type character?

@larcenistarsonist group

She's a very stubborn and independent girl who only works for herself (she's like a chaotic immoral, not quite evil but not neutral either)… I think she could work with either, whatever you think will be best! :D

Also, templates or jump right in? I don't have a preference.

@King_Cyrus

Oohohoho, I like her already. And I vote to do at least brief temps, just to give us a general idea! I tend to do long-ish temps but you can do a shorter one if you prefer. You can add/remove anything you want. I usually add a bunch X'D

Backstory: (optional; can be brief)
Appearance: (the more detail, the better!)
Strengths/Weaknesses:
Other:

@larcenistarsonist group

Name: Kayria "Kay" Willow

Age: 26

Gender: Female, she/her

Personality: Stubborn, independent, and slightly maniacal. She works for whoever pays her the most without question and hardly any conditions. Kay grins at the thought of killing, which makes her seem insane, but she's just excited for the money. Kay is also insanely paranoid. She always has a weapon ready and is constantly looking over her shoulder. She's snarky and sassy and unafraid to be real. Slightly pessimistic realist.

Backstory: When she was younger, a cruel king took over her land, enslaving all of the inhabitants. Her father died trying to go against the king, and her mother died from exhaustion from the king overworking her. Kay was family-less at eight years old. One day when she was eleven, while she was sitting in a locked cell with no food or drink, a man a few years older than her helped her escape. He took her to another man in the woods named Sato. Sato became a brother-like figure to Kay, he taught her everything she knows. How to shoot a bow, hand-to-hand combat, sword fighting, anything you could possibly think of. Kay was happy with her life with Sato, that was until Sato was shot and killed by a barbaric tribe. Kay turned her anger and skill into a living, working as a mercenary/assassin.

Appearance: Kay is tall and muscular, standing at about 5'9". She has long, dark brown hair usually pulled into a low ponytail and pieces framing her face. She has large, starling silver eyes and long, dark eyelashes. She has a small nose and fairly large lips. Her skin is extremely and inhumanly pale, making her look weak and sick oho but she's far from that. Kay usually wears a dark grey cloak over a white tunic tucked into dark brown pants with brown boots that lace up to her knees. She always keeps eight knives, a bow, and a quiver full of arrows on her.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Kay's fast, stealthy, and a deadshot. She excels in anything combat related. Most of her weaknesses lay in her head. She's paranoid, untrusting, and emotionally distant from everyone. She may also have a slight drinking problem.

Other: Nothing I can think of rn…

@King_Cyrus

Name: Abraxas Avraam Ryne

Age: 24 years old

Gender: Male, he/him

Personality:
He initially comes across as cool and collected, a respectable and reserved individual— how one might ideally expect a prince to behave. But this is mostly just a persona he has developed, a mask he wears to keep the advisors, his father, and anyone else who might try to judge him to be more "kingly" off of his case. He's actually quite immature, spoiled, and selfish. He's vain, sometimes preoccupied with his appearance. He is not really that calm and a total spaz case. He's afraid of a lot of things and has been known to lowkey pout when things don't go his way. However, he is actually quite sensitive and has the potential to be kind. (Note: I say he has the potential to be.) He sometimes acts superior to others, but he actually has a huge inferiority complex and does not truthfully think he is cut out to be king. Honestly, he needs to learn some lessons.

Backstory:
Nothing of note. He has lived a fairly posh life in the palace with his parents, King and Queen Ryne. The Queen passed away when Abraxas was 18, but the King still lives.

Appearance:
He's about 5 foot 10 inches, with average-width shoulders and a small waist. Not a large or strong guy. His skin is fair but not pale, overall unblemished except for a birthmark on the back of his left hand, which he is quite self-conscious about. His hair is reddish brown and has a bit of a wave to it; it's thick, shoulder-length, and he often wears it back in a short ponytail. He has handsome facial features, a nice jawline and bright green-blue eyes with gold flecks in them. His teeth are straight and white, and he has a bright, charming smile. His nose is ever so slightly crooked; it's nearly impossible to notice if you are not already aware of it, but it still irks him to death. He is always dressed nice and refuses to wear clothes that are damaged, stained, or made of cheap material.

Strengths/Weaknesses:
Strengths– Charming (sometimes…?). Clever. A good liar. More loyal than he seems.
Weaknesses– Cowardly. Selfish. Immature. Fearful of a great many things. Dishonest. Anxious. Pompous. No fighting skills whatsoever.

Other: This guy really needs to learn some lessons XD

@King_Cyrus

Ahahah I'm excited. Okay, so how exactly do we want them to come to interact with each other? What plot idea do we wanna go with?

@larcenistarsonist group

Maybe some wealthy enemy hired Kay to kidnap Abraxas and bring him to them… Something like that? And along the journey they run into other enemies and creatures and somehow become friends?

@King_Cyrus

Sure. How should we start? Just Abraxas doing… whatever it is an Abraxas does, to set it up for Kay coming in and kidnapping him?

@King_Cyrus

((Okay this is sucko for a starter and I apologize. My starters are usually better than this aaaaahhh I just didn't know for sure what to do and was in a huge hurry eeeeeggggg))

"No, no, no," Abraxas objected from his cozy spot, halfway beneath the blankets of his massively oversized bed. The musicians in his bedroom stopped playing immediately, some looking confused, some worried, and some annoyed. "I don't like this one. Play something different."

"Apologies, your majesty," the head musician responded patiently, forcing a smile. His mustache twitched; this was the fifth song he'd asked them to change tonight. "What would you prefer?"

"Something else." Abraxas wriggled around beneath the blankets to get comfortable; he was wrapped in a silk bathrobe, and his hair was still damp from his relaxing bath. "Something with more violin."

"Of course." The musician motioned to his colleagues, and they began to play a song with heavy violin. They got about halfway through it before Abraxas interrupted them again.

"I've heard this one a thousand times." Abraxas sighed. "Haven't you learned anything new? Or better?" The head musician frowned, but before he could respond, Abraxas continued. "Nevermind. That will be all for tonight. Bring me some water, and, tomorrow, focus on finding some new music for me. I'm tired of these old regurgitated songs."

Within moments, the musicians shuffled out, and a servant returned with the boy's water. He barely sipped it before motioning them all away and demanding that someone turn out his lights— but that they leave his curtains open to allow the moonlight to spill into his room, for he liked the aesthetic. And, honestly, it's likely that he was secretly afraid of the dark, but far too proud to dare admit it. Aside from the pair of bodyguards standing idly outside of his bedroom door, not another soul was in the vicinity, and he settled down to go to sleep.

@larcenistarsonist group

(dw you're good)

"You should really be nicer to your servants," A smooth voice tore through the quiet of the room. A lean figure stood on the balcony, her features hidden by the shadows and the moonlight illuminating her silhouette.

"Some of us aren't as… privileged as you, your majesty." She said his title with a sneer and slowly began to approach his bed. Her soft footsteps send echoing noises throughout the room.

She now stood over the prince, her features now clear. Her dark hair hung in her face, piercing silver eyes staring him down. She brought a hand forward, the other slowly pulling a knife from the sheath on her belt. "Now, majesty, you either come with me, or you'll face a very painful death right here, and I won't get paid," she instructed slowly and carefully as if talking to a toddler, a menacing grin on her face.

@King_Cyrus

(Aaahhh you saved my crappy starter with your good response. I am indebted to your skills)

Abraxas stiffened at the unfamiliar voice, then scrambled to prop himself up on his elbows. He peered through the darkness to try and spot the source of the voice, almost dared to ask "Who's there?" but before he could managed to get the words out, she was at his bedside, over him with a knife whose blade reflected the pale moonlight pouring through the window.

She being a stranger that he had never met, a stranger who looked more than willing and more than capable of killing him on the spot.

Panic shot through him when he fully registered what was happening. He wanted to yell for the guards; they were merely beyond the door, so surely they would hear him— but no matter how fast they were, they could never save him before this woman would have time to slit Abraxas's neck open or plunge her weapon into his chest.

His heart leapt into his throat, eyes wide. "Who are you?" was the only question he managed to choke out, trying not to sound as horrified as he was (with questionable success).

@larcenistarsonist group

(ur welcome XD)

"That's unimportant," the woman said, a malicious twinkle in her eyes. "Now come on, I only have a week to bring you in."

She grabbed his arm, yanking him out of bed in one swift movement. The prince fell to a heap on the floor. "You'll be dressing in common people clothing." She reached into a backpack, throwing a simple white tunic and dark cloak on top of him. A pair of pants that looked a size or two too big followed, along with some plain black boots. One of the shoes unfortunately landed on the prince's nose. "We can't have your luxury textiles drawing unwanted attention."

She bent down, waving the knife beneath his nose. "Now be quiet and change. You yell for the guards, you're life ends here. If you be a good little prince and cooperate, you'll live… for now." A playful tone tinted her voice.

She turned her back, trading her knife for the bow slung across her shoulder. A small laugh escaped her throat as she drew her bow and nocked a razor sharp arrow. "I won't look, but if you try anything… I think you can put together the rest of the picture."
