I think I’ll be an active user here again so Km making another one. Really want to use my boy Vaughn, a vigilante/“serial killer” who targets abusers that the system let go. Suffers from delusions/hallucinations so if that’s triggering to anyone just a heads up. Probably will be lots of violence/nsfw themes due to the nature of the character! Y’all have been warned!

(Yeah. I have a character who's been in that situation before. Dawn Middleton, a sweet girl who always wears long sleeves, long pants, and keeps her hair over one eye. She always wears a hat at well. She was sold at a young age to another family, where she was forced to marry a boy several years older than her. She's 19 now, and still with the dude, as she wasn't able to escape, and the dude is now about 24.)

Ok ok awesome!! Here are some things about my character Vaughn, let me know what you think!

Name: Vaughn Finley.

Age: 24 years old.

Gender: Male.

Sexuality: Pansexual.

Appearance: Based off of https://pin.it/6cdcE2x . He has a tattoo on his left upper forearm that says ‘Adeline’ in little kid handwriting. He had a toned build with decent muscle mass and stands at around 6’2. His features are clean cut and hard, and he appears very intimidating. He tends to wear informal clothing that consists of whatever he can find. During “jobs”, he wears a black compression shirt, black cargo style pants, black boots, and a black mask that has a large mouth of razor sharp teeth scratched into it.

Personality: Before he gets to know someone, he is very introverted and secretive. Towards “clients” he is polite and courteous. Towards “targets” he is ruthless and uncaring. He is very protective and defensive of loved ones. He is very caring in relationships. He can get very possessive/obsessive of partners, but he is also gentle and loving. He seems very rude towards most men, but is always polite and kind towards women and children. He also suffers from delusions/hallucinations, and may possibly have schizophrenia.

Likes: The quiet, alcohol, and kids.

Dislikes: The whispers he hears, taking his medication, men who hurt women and children.

Background: Vaughn grew up with his parents, Jack and Rosie Finley, and his younger sister, Adeline Finley. Vaughn was Adeline's best friend and protector, as she was tormented by bullies due to her having autism. Jack was a mean drunk, and would often take it out on Rosie, Vaughn, and Adeline. Rosie did her best to shield her children from Jack, but there was only so much she could do against the larger man. When Vaughn was 13 years old, Jack came home particularly drunk and angry. An argument broke out between Jack and Rosie in the kitchen, which resulted in Jack strangling Rosie in front of both Vaughn and Adeline. Vaughn tried getting him and Adeline to safety by going upstairs to hide, but on the way up the stairs, Jack caught up to them. He threw Vaughn aside, causing him to tumble down the stairs and hit his head, knocking him unconscious. Adeline was killed due to blunt force trauma to the head shortly after. Jack would have killed Vaughn if the police hadn't shown up due to a neighbor calling after hearing the screaming. Jack was taken into custody, and later sent to prison for a life sentence. Vaughn was placed into the foster care system, not having any other family to take care of him. He was in and out of homes due to his mental health issues that began to arise. He claimed to hear voices speaking to him and that he saw figures in his vision. So much, he named one of his frequent hallucinations 'Figure', a black shadow figure with no distinguishable features other than a large mouth full of jagged, sharp teeth. He first got in trouble with the law at 14. He got into fights at school and with other teens in his foster families, causing him to continue to move from home to home. At 16, he found his last foster home, his foster parents being health professionals that could help provide for his mental health treatment. At 18, he killed his first person. He felt a calling to kill men that hurt their families, as his father had done to his own family. He sees nothing wrong with what he is doing and considers himself a hero despite being labeled as a deranged serial killer. In current times, he has a kill count of 17 men.

Other: He hides out in an abandoned gas station outside of the city he targets individuals in.

@Desvelarse pets

Thanks! That sounds good to me. How do we want to start the scene? The way Vaughn tends to find men is by looking on the public registry, and seeing who was given an early release/not fully charged for any crimes relation to abuse of a spouse/child. After that point, e stalks social media to find the victim of the abuse and will track them down. He speaks with the victims of the abuse to allow him to help them (asking the abuser's schedule, layout of the home, etc.)

(Oh, fun. I feel like they'd meet late at night, with Dawn trying to get out of bed without waking him (Danial). Or in the middle of the day, when he's at work and Dawn is locked in the house, expected to have the house spotless by the time he gets home.)

(Cool.)

Dawn, very carefully, slipped out of their bedroom window, landing lightly on the grass below. This was the only time she truly had for herself, at night. Cleaning the house didn't take all day, so she always managed a few hours of sleep during the day. It was probably taking a toll on her health, but she needed time away from him. She got to the sidewalk, before running into town, where she promptly ran into someone who was on her right, where she couldn't see due to her eyepatch. "I'm sorry, I didn't see you!" she exclaimed, stepping back.

Dawn Middleton. Vaughn’s brand new job. It ha even a couple of weeks since his last kill and he was itching to get back into the game. He had found Dawn’s partner on the registry, and after stalking social media, found her. It was easy to find their home, people posted too many personal things these days. It was almost like they wanted to be found by people like him. For her sake, he was only a danger to her husband.

Vaughn had watched the house for hours on end, learning a small bit of their routine. The most important thing he learned was that Dawn frequently snuck out in the middle of the night. That would be where he would get her alone to talk.

Vaughn had been following her the moment she left her house that night. Always a few steps behind, staying in the darkness and concealed. He made his way around the block, and put himself in a position where she would happen to run into him by ‘coincidence’.

“Ah, apologies, ma’am. Are you alright?” Vaughn asked, straightening himself as he finally got an up close look at her in person.

@Avhira-The-Eldritch-Horror group

"Yes, sir. It wasn't your fault, I ran into you. I'm very sorry." She muttered, glancing behind her. She thought Danial had started to catch onto her antics, and the last thing she wanted was for him to discover her talking to another man. She glanced back to the man, looking at him, taking him in. She didn't know why, but he made her uneasy.

"Again, I'm sorry. I'll buy you a drink to make up for it, if you like." She said, adjusting her hat and eye cover. "There is a wonderful coffee shop down the road, or there is a bar…. the next road over, I believe." She offered. She needed to get out of the open, where Danial was likely to find her, if he noticed her absence. "Which would you prefer?"

@Desvelarse pets

Vaughn shook his head, giving her a polite smile. “No worries, I’m completely alright,” he replied at her apologies. He glanced behind her when she looked over her shoulder, but all he saw was Figure. It was lurking behind, its smile big as it knew he had made contact.

Vaughn looked back at Dawn, humming in thought at her offer. “How about the bar? A bit too late to be drinking coffee,” he said. That, and coffee gave him the jitters, made him antsy and on edge. He didn’t need to be like that in his current position. But a drink or two wouldn’t hurt.

@Avhira-The-Eldritch-Horror group

She nodded, pulling her jacket tighter around her and walking towards the bar. "Alright. Lets go, it's getting a bit cold out here, isn't it?" She commented, continuing to glance around her as she worried Danial might be following. "The bartender is fairly nice. There are almost never any fights. Or so I've heard." She said, disliking the silence.

They got to the bar quickly, where only a few people were around. "There's room at the bar, would you like to sit there, or grab a booth?" She asked, glancing at the patreons.

@Desvelarse pets

Vaughn stuffed his hands into the pockets of his black jacket, nodding his head. “Yes, it is,” he replied, taking stride with Dawn. He could see the fear and paranoia in her eyes. He knew the feeling well, considering his mental condition. He found her easy to read, like an open book just waiting for him to take. “Ah, I’m not too worried about a little bar fight.”

Vaughn thought himself to be a good fighter. He’d killed men twice his size and weight, through pure adrenaline and blood lust. Having a gun on his hip at all times helped as well. While his kills mostly looked amateur, he clearly knew what he was doing. He just liked to get a bit… messy.

Vaughn looked around the bar upon entry, pleased there weren’t many people. “Let’s grab a booth,” he said, motioning over to one closest to the door and farthest from the bar/other patrons. They would be having a private conversation, no prying ears needed to listen in.

@Avhira-The-Eldritch-Horror group

"Alright." She followed him into a booth, sitting opposite him. "Sorry again for bumping into you. I wasn't watching where I was going.." She said, fidgeting. A waitress came over. "What drinks can I get started for you?" She asked, sweetly. "Caribbean Mocktail for me." Dawn said, glad for the interruption to her awkward apology.
