A 17 year old boy, Salem, is growing up to be a sailor. During one of his classes, he's tasked with netting a siren. He starts to hesitate a bit; he may have been raised to think they're dangerous, but they're still people. He misses his shot, but from there his curiosity grows. Actually, he thinks hes kinda cute. He starts trying to get the siren to talk to him, secretly of course.
